18/04/2026: Good pizza, both regular and pan-fried. They also make farinata (good). It's inexpensive (from €3.50 to €6.00), including cover charge. The place is very simply decorated. Friendly staff. Fast service.

01/07/2026: I went to get takeout. Half an hour after ordering, and seeing all the other orders (including Glovo and Just Eat) pass me by, I asked how long the wait was. They said two minutes. After another 20 minutes and asking to speak to the owner (who was hiding in the kitchen), everything arrived. Without saying "sorry, we had a problem" (it can happen to anyone) or "I'll buy you a bottle of beer for the inconvenience." Nothing, they didn't give a damn. Since I used to go every week, they've now lost a customer, and given the recent reviews, it doesn't seem like a good thing.

29/04/2026: I ordered through Just Eat. Some things were good, including the rolls, ravioli, and spaghetti with vegetables and shrimp. The only downside was the veal with vegetables. Unfortunately, at first bite, it tasted "sour." Obviously, I didn't eat it to avoid getting sick, but I'm sorry I wasted food and money.

18/02/2026: We tried this pizzeria on the recommendation of a friend. We mostly order the pan version. The dough and toppings are excellent, with a wide selection and always on time.

28/01/2026: I tried this pizzeria the other day. I was pleasantly surprised. I'd like to thank the delivery staff, especially a girl named Greta, who, if I'm not mistaken, was super nice and, since I'm pregnant, even walked up four floors just to deliver my pizza. Thank you ❤️

22/02/2026: The place isn't huge, but it's well-designed with plenty of tables. There are two dining rooms. The food is good. The staff is friendly, polite, and not too intrusive. Unfortunately, the bathroom doors wouldn't lock, and the lights didn't work.

19/02/2026: Dinner with friends on Saturday night. Large, well-topped, and very good pizza. Great variety of pizzas, fast service, and delicious desserts. Fair prices.

11/07/2026: I'm leaving one star because zero isn't possible. Terrible service. We went for dinner. My glass was completely cracked, but I only noticed it after filling it with water. I mentioned it to the waitress. After calling her several times, she came, changed my glass, and brought me an empty one. Too bad, mine was completely full of water. We asked for two well-done pizzas, and they arrived practically raw. I mentioned it to the owner. He listened and walked away. We left without dinner because the pizza was inedible and the rudeness was too great. It's a shame because the place in the center of Viale Mensa is a nice place... but it's poorly managed. Rudeness is commonplace, and so is the lack of professionalism. Definitely not recommended! I will never go back.

09/07/2026: I don't recommend the food, the price is poor, it's not worth it, the staff is unprepared, the gluten-free cutting board is terrible, if you're not prepared, don't offer it.

22/02/2026: Excellent value for money, this pizzeria offers a soft, crispy crust on the outside and a soft, chewy interior. The owner/pizza chef is incredibly friendly.

09/01/2026: Went as a couple... no beer, I was told it had run out, I thought it was on tap, but they didn't even have bottles... Menu written on an A4 sheet... Asked for pizza with tuna, but the tuna had also run out... just out of politeness we didn't leave... A veil over the pizza...

21/10/2025: I've had the pleasure of eating at Il Pirata on several occasions (birthdays, parties, and even more relaxed dinners) and have always had a great experience. I was there for a party on Saturday, and the delivery times were reasonable, especially since you can't expect pizzas to arrive in 10 minutes when a restaurant is full. The pizzas are very good, and the value for money is top-notch. The staff is always friendly and welcoming, which is something you can't take for granted. Highly recommended!

06/02/2026: Dirty pizzeria. When the place opens, the owner sits at the table playing on his cell phone/smoking, the same tables that then charge €2 per person for the cover charge... they often get orders wrong and take advantage of "oversights," as they call them, to charge extra. The owner is out of place and addresses the ladies as "darling" but seems anything but pleasant; I'd say it's more intrusive and inappropriate. Update September 2024: The owner is a disgusting voyeur who comments on the young girls who walk past his (and filthy) place. I stopped by last night because I live in the area, and I had to walk all the way across the sidewalk past him. From about thirty meters away, he was looking at me with slimy eyes and repeatedly commenting on my outfit (I was wearing a long dress and heels). It was a very squalid 15 seconds. Knowing he would comment, I even have a voice recording of the moment he commented. I forwarded this to all my friends who came for pizza. At almost sixty, commenting on minors is truly disgusting. Edit January 2026: waaaar is oveeeeer, finally the owner got what he deserved and had to close the place. Kisses, handsome 😚😚😚, karma exists

10/07/2026: ...just came out... decent pizza, same goes for farinata... but how can you serve a hot profiterole? At least let me know. Anyway, it's unthinkable to eat in a stinky restaurant in July (today) without air conditioning.
