05/04/2026: Friendly staff, but the food was barely adequate. The dishes arrived one at a time, and six of us ate in installments. Part of the order never arrived! High price.

05/04/2026: We had a mixed lunch menu, both meat and fish. Spaghetti with clams was good, lasagna was so-so. The cutlet was good, the mixed fried fish wasn't excellent, and the grilled fish was just adequate. The service was good, as was the atmosphere.

21/05/2026: Seafood lunch near the beach. Spectacular dishes... excellent quality fish, everything perfectly cooked, the fried fish melted in your mouth and was super crispy... very generous and satisfying portions. The dessert was also really good. Service was quite slow, but considering it's an open-air beach spot, it's nice to spend a little more time there.

13/05/2026: It's become a pleasant habit. Excellent food and great service. If the weather's nice, you can eat outside, right on the seafront.

23/05/2026: Average food, generous portions, very standard for a land menu.

08/05/2026: The dough is perfectly thin and full of flavor. The place is very well decorated and the waiters are very kind.

09/06/2026: We ate well, nothing exceptional, for €15 in the evening.

06/06/2026: A double Vasco concert and Ferrara's restaurants are in a tailspin. Tensions are sky-high and rudeness is everywhere. Not here. The Sophists, perhaps because of their name, keep their cool, manage to be kind, and find a table even for those who haven't booked. The pumpkin cappellacci are exquisite, the tagliata steak is well-done (rare), and the atmosphere in the internal garden is excellent. Kudos to everyone!

14/04/2026: Very spacious place. They welcomed us right away, despite the Easter Monday lunchtime chaos in the city center and the time around 2 PM. The thin, crispy pizza and the typical Ferrarese dishes were delicious; I tried the pasticcio ferrarese. The service was excellent and friendly, prompt, and even friendly. I would return, but I didn't give it a 5 because the pasticcio was perhaps a little on the small side.

14/09/2025: Good, but doesn't respect the stated opening hours and days. Found it closed more than once on opening days.

02/09/2025: We had dinner the first night we arrived at the residence next door. The staff were friendly and helpful, but unfortunately I can't say the same about the food... well-presented but a bit bland, and the biggest flaw was the place being infested with mosquitoes. Not only did we spend the evening killing them, but I even found them on my plate from how many there were... I didn't have a great first evening. Personally, I don't think we'll be back.

22/08/2025: The place itself isn't bad, but I certainly wouldn't choose it again. We ordered four pizzas and, while waiting for them, asked for two portions of fries to share. The fries arrived almost raw, having been eaten out of hunger. The pizza is considered as thick as a piadina. So, if you like heartier pizzas, look elsewhere. Two of the pizzas we ordered were seafood ones. Having had excellent ones elsewhere, we decided to try them. Never was a bigger mistake. The fish was still in its shell on the pizza, which, once removed, left a paltry amount of toppings, which, on mine (a white pizza with mozzarella), took away all the mozzarella. They were certainly beautiful to look at, but in reality, they weren't mediocre. The other two pizzas were decent, certainly better than the two with fish. They brought bitters to the neighboring tables at the end of the meal, except for us. I wouldn't have drunk them, but the service should be the same for everyone. To top it off, once we got back, we saw we'd been charged for another bottle of water we hadn't ordered or drunk. €2.50 for a 1-liter bottle of water, unnecessarily charged. We didn't go back because we would have spent it on gas, and honestly, it wasn't worth it. The night after dinner, three out of four people at the dinner felt sick. I don't think it's a coincidence. I'm not giving 1 or 0 stars only because I tried a small portion of the menu.

08/03/2026: Ideal for coffee, aperitifs, and cappuccinos. Many quality chocolate displays. Newspapers are always available, and restrooms are clean.

01/09/2025: For the little ones, there's a play area to help with long waits. Our two-and-a-half-year-old fell asleep while eating, managing to eat five mushrooms from his pizza piece, at 9:15 PM. We waited two hours for four pizzas. And a €2.50 cover charge for an empty plate was outrageous. Impregnated service. An experience that made us forget the quality.

26/04/2026: I'm giving one star because it's the lowest I can get. Everything is terrible. They sit you at a table and let you choose, but that's the only positive thing... the waiters are rushed, confused, and don't pay much attention to the customer. But the worst part comes at the cash register. You wait for who knows what, and then, perhaps, the owner arrives, an elderly lady who makes you pay even for what you didn't have. She smiles at your polite complaints, saying it will be better next time... 😳... I wonder if she really thinks there could be a next time... To be fair, we had a toasted sandwich, not a piadina, half a liter of water, and a can of Coke. I also ordered fried fish that never arrived... but I paid the cover charge... as if I'd had lunch🤷🏻‍♀️
