13/11/2025: I had high expectations after reading the many positive reviews, but unfortunately, they didn't live up to expectations. The fried food wasn't very well done, too soaked in oil, and the fries weren't crispy. The sore point, however, was the pizzas. They looked great when they first arrived, but after less than 3 minutes, as soon as they reached a normal temperature, they became hard, like toast. Everyone at our table noticed this, and there were 20 of us! I can and will assume it was a somewhat problematic evening, and we'll try again. Even more so, because even though there weren't many people, we waited about an hour for our pizzas. This time, I was disappointed.

05/01/2026: A truly positive experience at Il Frassino. The pizza was delicious, made with fresh, quality ingredients, many of which were locally sourced: you could taste the care and attention in every bite. The platter of local cured meats and cheeses, the richly stuffed arancini, and the very flavorful potato croquettes. The staff were kind, friendly, and always available. The owners, moreover, are two delightful people who make you feel welcomed from the moment you arrive. We visited the cellar, recently renovated with great care and attention to detail, perfect for an aperitif or a celebration. Highly recommended; I will definitely be back.

11/01/2026: We had reserved a table an hour in advance, but when we arrived, the reservation wasn't there. We were offered a seat in a freezing cold room, which we declined, waiting for another table to become available. Once we were finally seated, they opened the door to the cold room, immediately lowering the temperature in the room we were in as well, making the experience truly unpleasant. To make matters worse, the waiters were arrogant and unprofessional, with no attention to the customer. A bad experience! The pizza is always good!

03/01/2026: I've been there twice (invited). The pizza was outrageous both times (I don't care about the price). The schnitzel was ridiculous. The fries were pathetic. If I'm not mistaken, some of the fried foods were frozen. The service was average. The place was good.

28/08/2025: We come here every year and are always impressed. The food is a real treat – plentiful, delicious, and of top quality. The ambiance is beautiful and creates an all-around pleasant atmosphere. The service is always prompt and friendly. Especially the owner: incredibly nice and simply a great man! Highly recommended – we're already looking forward to our next visit.

04/11/2025: I've been back several times, after about four decades...I've rediscovered many of the old culinary traditions. Thank goodness, I might add! Recommended place except during busy periods, especially if there are events or festivals in the area that draw people from all over the region. Too much chaos doesn't help the service. Smaller portions, incomplete appetizers...let's say slightly improvised with what they have at the time. On all other occasions, a 7/8 is well deserved. Great and kind. 😁

06/01/2026: A somewhat disappointing experience. Good service, but the food was truly disappointing. I don't know if it was the chefs' mistake or something else. After years, I've decided to return to the Keller, but the experience wasn't satisfying. The cured meats were good, but the fried foods and kebab needed a facelift, but they were great. The fried foods had a terrible breading and a slightly nauseating taste. The pizza was good, with good dough and well-cooked, but the kebab was awful. The bread had a slightly strange aftertaste. All this was quite expensive, and there was no description of the various items, which was a bit of a misnomer.

13/11/2025: The place is very welcoming, German-style, with great attention to detail, and truly charming. The problem was the service; I don't know if it was just for this evening, but I didn't have a great experience. We arrived at 8:40 PM and ate at 10:00 PM because they took care of the takeout service first. Overall, the pizza was good and didn't leave me feeling bloated. I'll be back to try the fish, which they say is delicious!

11/01/2026: On the way from Telese Terme to Naples, we stopped at this restaurant. We had a delicious mixed meat platter for two, all cooked just right. The desserts also looked delicious, but we were full. The place smelled wonderful, like delicious food. The staff was very friendly!

22/11/2025: Excellent pizza. Very nice location, small but welcoming. Rino, the owner, is kind, friendly, and knowledgeable. A perfect little place for what it does. Reading some other reviews, I think it's superfluous to point out details that this type of place can overlook. This isn't a Michelin-starred establishment, so I think the attention to aesthetics is appropriate for the type of place: small, clean, and welcoming. The staff is also very helpful, polite, and helpful... I can't wait to see the new location. Good luck!

20/10/2025: Chosen because of the excellent reviews we saw online. Arriving in front of the pizzeria, the dilapidated and messy outdoor area almost made us think we'd come to the wrong place. The dining room was small, with terrible decor. The cloth tablecloths were covered with red synthetic tablecloths, like the disposable ones, which were unpleasant to look at and to touch. Overhead, a wooden latticework acts as a decorative false ceiling, from which fake plants are hung (the only real plant was near the entrance and wasn't in great shape). The lower portion of the walls is covered with slatted wood fiberboard painted white, while the upper portion is covered with sheets of decorated paper (like the kind used for nativity scenes). The bathroom is smelly. The pizza wasn't bad, but the crust was rubbery and not very well-aired (if you remove the crust, you can re-knead it). I had a pizza with fried eggplant and sausage... the eggplant was mushy, almost all that was left was the peel, and the sausage was crumbled too finely. They have an excellent craft beer in bottles. In conclusion, high expectations given the reviews, but a bit of a disappointment. "Updated October 15th after the owner's response." From your arrogant and offensive tone, I don't think your premise is sincere (criticism is always welcome). You went into detail about the materials used, and if I had any doubts about the placemats, as I had already written, the panels are made of wood fiber (MDF, an acronym for Medium Density Fiberboard). Does my lack of knowledge of the materials inside the place justify this pedantic tone? If you're moving and the outdoor area is disused, does that give you permission to insult me? I don't like the decor in the room, so you think I'm ignorant? Regarding the bathroom, my 6-year-old daughter could distinguish the smell of a lack of cleaning from that of normal use by other customers and refused to use it. I was honest in my review, but unfortunately, you're not. To justify yourself, you're trying to discredit and insult me. Just look at the Google profiles to see who's leaving you a review, and the category you're trying to link me to (keyboard warrior) doesn't belong to me. You should respect your customers and take criticism as a cue to improve, not use derogatory tones and encourage people to go mushroom hunting. I wish you the best of luck in the future.

31/12/2025: Great experience! The pizza is truly delicious, I especially loved the tuna and onion pizza, with the cooked onions adding a special touch. The use of local ingredients is very interesting, such as Castelpoto red sausage, Castelfranco caciocavallo cheese, tomato, and extra virgin olive oil. Special thanks to the owner for her kindness and courtesy, and the beer is also excellent. Highly recommended!

04/10/2025: RAW PIZZA The orders were taken quickly, but I can't say the same about the service. We waited 40 minutes for our pizzas, but considering the restaurant was busy, I could live with that. What I can't stand is that after that wait, I was presented with a RAW PIZZA that kept sticking in my mouth; I left more than half of it on my plate.
