28/06/2025: Had a wonderful dinner at the Country House tonight. We have been coming here since our first overseas tour in 2003 when our daughter was little. Was her favorite restaurant. We have known our waiters Fabio and Gennaro since then and the family who owns it. Great food. The Italian cheesecake was amazing. Highly recommend
31/05/2025: We found ourselves in this place for an end-of-year dinner with the teachers on the 29th. I chose this place even though it was in my country and I had never been there. Excellent service, excellent food, kind waiters... owners who were extremely available to meet all my requests. Thanks to you I made a great impression... I will definitely return. Thanks again

15/05/2025: Excellent pizza but long wait. I would have given 5 for the quality product of both the dough and the ingredients on the pizza. I took a margherita, because for me it is the best way to test a new pizzeria, then a diavola and a filetto with buffalo mozzarella, rocket, raw ham and parmesan flakes. I gave 4 because I asked for the waiting time before ordering and they told me 20 minutes instead I waited 1 hour, however the wait was worth it.

19/02/2025: You know, that place that doesn't inspire much from the outside, you walk in and it's deserted, you sit down and there's a short menu with the prices of 15 years ago and you seriously think about escaping through the bathroom window?
Here, don't do it!
The food is spectacularly good. One of the last places where the innkeeper is not there to fleece you, but to satisfy your soul and stomach.
Had dinner based on fish (me) and pizza (my colleague), Excellent across the board.
It deserves more success!!

06/07/2025: Restaurant with a splendid setting of the Pozzuoli gozzetto, movement and nice lights. Restaurant that presents itself well both as a place and as a menu, very large and varied, nothing to say. Then a few defects emerged. First of all we took a falanghina that I didn't like, then we ordered the first course with crab and there wasn't any, but obviously this depends on what the sea has to offer. We then moved on to the first course of the day: gnocchi with green peppers and mussels and a seafood salad. The first course arrived and some dishes were very abundant and others very small, the flavor good but nothing special. The seafood salad very good. The second courses arrived with great anticipation, an hour after the first course. However, the baked fish slice with potatoes was really good while the fried fish was nothing special and the octopus was very scenic but there were no such positive comments. For dessert we took the caprese di annuccia, single-portion caprese good and still hot. The bill of 38 euros per person was understandable. I would like to point out that the service was kind and polite but the waiting times were really long and the dishes were decent. The best dishes are in the photo

The serve a great Pulpo! The only downside for me that you can't get coffee here.

Appetizers and abundant and vast menu.
First course sublime.
We had a really good time and the staff was really friendly.
Convivial and familiar atmosphere, but also special for those who want to experience important and intimate events.

We shared a starter, pasta and pizza for two people and the dishes are generous.
We laughed with the waitress because they don't know Spanish and they try to understand us and explain!
They have a very good white wine!!

23/06/2025: We sat down at 9:30 pm, ordered after 15 min, the sandwiches arrived around 10:30 pm. A slightly long wait, the staff was kind anyway with the requests (napkins drinks flavors of panuozzi and cold air). The panuozzo was really good, we also tried the pizza made with the same dough (or very similar) and it was also very good. Too bad for the wait.
18/03/2025: In truth, when we go to Gragnano, we usually first stop at Pompei, which is quite close as the crow flies, to listen to the 7:00 PM Mass in the Cathedral on Saturday evening, or the 6:30 PM Mass on Sunday evening, in the small room of San Bartolomeo Longo, then we head to eat panuozzo. We usually go straight to Mascolo 1, located in front of the local hospital, but it is easier to do so on Sunday evening than on Saturday when a multitude of groups of young people from the area go to this very famous and excellent panuozzeria from the specialized point of view in the sector. Unfortunately, last Saturday was one of those evenings when the destination in question was taken by storm and stopping there would have meant having to queue for a few hours, with hundreds of people queuing up, since the place does not accept reservations, on purpose, knowing that by doing so, it would have to allow few customers to enter a place that is not very large. So it was just as a last resort, I'm sorry to admit, that we went on a whim to find some other place nearby that made panuozzi. Coincidentally, also because we were 4 with 2 cars able to find parking on the street, nearby, we stopped at this "Piccolo fornaio" that we didn't know was owned by the Malafronte family, whose name is very well known there. Initially the impact was not the best due to the little space between one table and another and a rather long wait due to there being only 2 tables occupied before us, and only one waiter who took orders when the customers arrived, without even giving them some soft drinks or water to drink, to while away the wait. After a good half hour our turn came and we were at least able to drink. Luckily we noticed, I in particular who hate burnt floury products, that they served overcooked panuozzi, almost toasted, so we specified that we preferred not to overcook, not even the rawness of the meals. So they served us a Tommaso, which however was missing mushrooms in the filling that called for them, in addition to bacon, mozzarella and a little spicy. Anyway, it was not at the "mascoiinian" level, but it was not bad, apart from the omission of that fundamental ingredient. Since we still had a bit of an appetite, we also ordered 4 croquettes + 4 arancini, which should have been 3 white (like supplì) and one red, but they arrived the other way around: 3 red + 1 white. Finally, we concluded with a generous portion of French fries. When it came to the bill, I have to be honest, we paid a really cheap amount, since out of 37 euros in total (divided by 4), 2 beers + 1 large coke were included, + service. Overall, the dinner went well, if not very well, given the costs and the kindness of the staff.

15/07/2025: After being in Sorrento for the last week I’ve tried several places and this one we passed by several times and decided to try it on our last night. Being let down on some of the highly rated places this was a very well welcomed surprised on the whole experience. You can taste the love and care in the food. We got the calamari, chef special of Seabass with vegetables, meat sauce with a home made paste, and the Diablo sauce pasta. All food was seasoned perfect and done perfectly. Do not pass on this hidden gem. My experience is 10 years in the Resturant industry in US and my wife’s experience is 25 years in high end Resturant’s around the world.
14/07/2025: Food was ok. Nothing exciting. Staff fall at your feet when you arrive but quickly their rudeness appears. Waiter treated a lovely gentle younger waiter like crap. Was so rude to him in front of the handful of customers. Safe to say we won't be going back. Endless array of gorgeous restaurants to eat in in sorrento that aren't just there to demand a tip at the end. Tried to sneak a tip to the lovely younger waiter but the rude guy was glaring at us from he sidelines throughout.
Stunning building and has great potential, shame about the rudeness.

24/06/2025: I stopped by Chalet Ciro for breakfast and the experience was truly superb. We chose a fragrant sfogliatella, a soft and freshly fried graffa, a tart with very fresh wild strawberries and a creamy and intense coffee: everything was perfect, both in quality and presentation.
The place is clean, well organized and the staff is kind and fast. You can breathe the true Neapolitan atmosphere, with great attention to detail. Ideal for starting the day with taste or for a sweet break during a walk on the seafront.
Highly recommended, a must-see if you are in Naples!

14/07/2025: Best pizza we had in Sorrento & Rome!!! We accidentally discovered this place walking somewhere else & thankfully they were open. We were one of two couples in there since it was a little early but that didn’t bother us. We each got a pizza because we were so hungry—I got the Julia (white pizza with prosciutto & burrata) & my husband got a red sauce one with artichokes & mushrooms & bacon, both were amazing!! The server said they have a wood fire grill which is why the crust was not as soggy as others we had. We loved it!
12/07/2025: The substance!!! In the beautiful "Cappuccini" location in Sant'Agnello, this small restaurant, with its simplicity, offers a substantial menu, featuring well-executed dishes from the Campania and Sorrento traditions. Delicious and reasonably priced, in one of the most beautiful settings on the peninsula.
