Excellent pizza, cashier management needs improvement We were eight young people at Pampanini Pizzeria in Benevento. The pizza was very good, and the place was nice. Kudos to the kitchen and table service. The checkout experience was a shame: we wanted to pay "Roman style" (split the bill equally) and then each pay with what they had (cash or card). The cashier was insolent and arrogant, insisting that we all pay with the same method—either all cash or all card. For a group of eight young people, this is inconvenient and impractical. The place deserves it; the food gets a thumbs up. I hope you can better train the cashier staff, because this kind of thing risks losing customers.

I'd been there two years ago, and the pizza was truly excellent. I returned, knowing I was on the safe side, and I was disappointed. The Margherita had crystallized mozzarella, while the buffalo mozzarella didn't bind together or form a solid dough. The cooking wasn't perfect.

Excellent pizza in a location just steps from Benevento's historic center. I would have given the service more stars if we hadn't found ourselves with appetizers from another table on our bill.

Excellent pizza, high quality, good wine selection. Beautiful location, centrally located, just steps from the Arch of Trajan. Superb service. I decided to try something new, the Francigena pizza, which was excellent. Personally, I wouldn't have used 'nduja, but a sausage to enhance the sweetness of the escarole, just for personal taste. Good value for money.

07/05/2026: A casual yet very welcoming pizzeria with a spacious dining area. I found everything to be excellent: both the pizza and the fried foods were tasty and well-prepared. The draft beers were also excellent, perfect for accompanying dinner. The quality-price ratio is truly excellent, considering the quality and quantity. Recommended for a quiet evening with excellent food.
03/05/2026: My boyfriend and I visited this restaurant on May 3, 2026. We ordered a first course, an extra drink each, a bottle of water, and two liqueurs, and spent €35. It was absolutely excellent value for money. For my first course, I ordered tagliatelle with wild boar ragù. I felt like I was having lunch at my grandmother's house, warmed up inside. It was a truly delicious dish, starting with the homemade pasta with game ragù, which was truly well-prepared. I highly recommend this place, especially for the very polite and friendly staff. If you're in Telese, you absolutely must eat here.

26/06/2026: A simple, basic place. It doesn't have air conditioning, but the tables along the street are comfortable. The pizza, made by Franco, a pizza chef with decades of experience and a deep knowledge of the subject, is light and tasty. We ordered a classic marinara and a log, which was a pleasant surprise. Franco's kindness and courtesy make him stand out from his more highly-regarded colleagues. Next time, we'll try what we thought were some inviting panuozzi.
