09/08/2025: Family atmosphere; Excellent and tried-and-tested seafood menu; good pizza. It's essential to ask for fresh fish... obviously, it's cooked to perfection!! Fantastic summer cuisine when the restaurant moves to Lido Acquatica (still in Roccelletta, but on the seafront); open for lunch and dinner!!!!

03/07/2025: Excellent cuisine. Always full even at lunch. On the old route of the 106 just outside the Catanzaro Lido junction. No difficulty with parking. Never had pizza. Good quality appetizers and fish dishes. Not exactly cheap if you opt for branded bottled wine (good Calabrian wines, rosés). If you want to invite some guests or for some occasion. In the summer months it moves to the nearby beach.

13/08/2025: We visited this place during the week of August 15th and found a table right away. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and they knew how to manage the dining room well. We went to Don Rocco because we'd seen a fantastic aperitivo featuring both cooked and raw fish at a special price on Instagram, but in the end we opted for several dishes to share and sample. Pleasantly surprised, we recommend the peppered mussels... sublime to say the least! The view was spectacular, next to the Norman cathedral in a truly picturesque little square.

02/08/2025: The best restaurant in Calabria, nothing to complain about. They're very fast, the pizza is good, the meat is good, the waiters are very friendly, the chef who handles the meat is very good and very friendly (with a beard)! The prices are a little higher, but for me it's acceptable because I left happy and satisfied! Instead of the ones that cost less and don't make good food, they make you wait half an hour to order.

29/07/2025: I remembered it being good, but the last experience wasn't what I remembered... we booked at 9, we sat down at 9:30... we ordered almost immediately, but we started eating the fries an hour later and the pizzas at after 11... so much so that my friends wanted to leave... the rotisserie was good, the arancini very crunchy, and the sliced potatoes were very good, but the pizzas were quite salty (or tasty as some would say)... plus, a couple of cockroaches were running around the tables undisturbed, and no one asked why my friend and I were jumping from the table along with some other guests from other tables! I ate curled up on the chair! I understand that we're out, I understand the seaside location... but not even that!! It's good, but I'm sorry because I remembered it better!

19/07/2025: Unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience for us. We ordered two seafood pizzas, each of which we managed to eat just a small piece of the crust before getting up and leaving. The dough and baking deserve top marks. As for the toppings, I'd like to think I just had the wrong night and let it go. The thing that bothered me most was that no one asked me why we asked for the bill with the pizzas still steaming on the table. This was an unexpected oversight from a pizzeria that is an institution in Catanzaro Lido. Two seafood pizzas, a Coke, and a bottle of mineral water often cost around €33.

21/08/2025: Two pasta dishes were excellent, plentiful and tasty: one with mussels and clams, the other with porcini mushrooms. The menu is all seafood, except for the pizza, of course. I don't eat fish, but they made me happy by preparing a delicious mushroom pasta dish. Thank you! Friendly and smiling staff. Recommended.

25/07/2025: Frequento questa pizzeria da molti anni e ogni volta è una garanzia. Anche durante l’ultima cena in due, con la sala interna quasi al completo e il caldo estivo all’esterno, l’ambiente è rimasto piacevolmente fresco grazie a un’ottima climatizzazione. Le porzioni sono abbondanti: una porzione di patatine dippers è più che sufficiente per due persone. Un dettaglio da non sottovalutare è la generosa quantità di salse, spesso proporzionata al numero di porzioni ordinate in altri locali. Le pizze, come sempre, deliziose: ben condite, cotte alla perfezione nel forno a legna e davvero saporite. Il servizio è stato impeccabile: personale cordiale, attento e rapidissimo, nonostante l’elevato numero di clienti. Tempi d’attesa praticamente nulli. Il conto? Assolutamente onesto: con una dippers, due pizze ben farcite, un’acqua, una Coca Cola (da 33 in vetro) e un caffè abbiamo speso solo 30€. Davvero raro trovare un simile equilibrio tra qualità, quantità e prezzo. Consigliatissima!

17/08/2025: We reserved umbrellas; upon arrival, there was a bit of a line to get in, but it moved quickly enough. There are hot and cold showers connected to the sewer system, so you can wash with soap. There's a fee for showers. We didn't try the restaurant, but we did get some sandwiches and ice cream. The sandwiches were simple but very good.

24/08/2025: We were greeted very warmly. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The only flaw with the mixed fried fish was that they served completely cold and raw shrimp, describing it as fresh. After pointing this out, they immediately remade the dish, specifying that the shrimp were cold because they had been frozen, as you can't always have fresh fish. What a shame.

22/08/2025: A true discovery in the heart of Catanzaro. Courteous and attentive service, excellent dishes thanks to a blend of quality ingredients and expert execution, and excellent value. Highly recommended.
