20/03/2026: We dined here for a birthday. The place was freezing, so much so that we dined in jackets, but they still weren't enough to keep us warm. The appetizer arrived after over an hour and a half; considering there were about twenty people in the place, the wait seemed excessive. The pizza, which arrived after two hours of waiting and constant reminders, was inedible. We asked for a Coke and were told it had run out—absurd, considering it's a "restaurant." Halfway through dinner, we left, leaving most of the food on our plates without finishing the celebration. Some of the people sitting across from us also left for the same reason.
We will definitely never return.
I absolutely do not recommend this place!
03/03/2026: Very kind staff: I tried to order via Just Eat but the app had some problems, and I solved it quickly by placing the order directly via phone.
Good margherita pizza, fried food too (a nice choice).

Always welcoming, genuine, and attentive, he manages to make every guest feel at home, transforming a simple dinner into a special moment. It's clear how much he loves his job, and this passion is evident in everything, from the impeccable service to the vibrant energy in the dining room.
29/03/2026: Excellent food, very good arrosticini for two with a first course and 15 arrosticini with potatoes and water, we spent 59 euros. The only negative note was that at the table next to us, some of the staff were arguing about family matters, even explicitly, so I gave one star to the environment.

19/07/2026: It's a shame to write such a review, but it's an incentive to do well because my family and I have been fond of this place for years and have always had a great time. Today, however, we noticed a new management team that, in addition to limiting the menu by removing all starters and other dishes, has a truly embarrassing management of the tables. We received the menu shortly before 1:30 PM, and the main courses arrived after 90 minutes. The same thing happened to all the tables, and in any case, a series of poor service that truly embarrassed us and ruined our lunch.
We'll return if this management team manages to turn things around and perhaps even reintroduce some starters and other dishes more suitable for younger customers.
28/06/2026: A small restaurant located inside a municipal playground. Cute, with limited seating, friendly staff, and a menu (unfortunately, I forgot to photograph it) featuring platters, roasts, and pizzas. Everything was delicious, I'll be back... perfect for discreet romantic encounters.

15/07/2026: A picturesque mountain cabin with characteristic furnishings.
The atmosphere is warm, family-friendly, and mountain-style, not suitable for those seeking a modern, sophisticated, and elegant setting.
Good food (they also do pizza) is typical of the area. Prices are more reasonable (15% less than restaurants in the town center).
Service isn't the fastest, but the manager, Ernesto, goes out of his way to make everything work.
I recommend trying it if you're in Pescasseroli.
06/06/2026: We went to La Baita despite some negative reviews and were thrilled. The atmosphere was immaculate, the staff extremely friendly, and the owners were welcoming and passionate. The dishes were freshly prepared and the grilled meats were truly excellent. A wonderful experience that we will definitely repeat with other friends. For us, it was a very pleasant surprise that deserved much more than some of the reviews suggest. ❤️

Buona pizzeria con vasta scelta di pizze e prodotti affini.
Qualità degli alimenti più che soddisfacenti.
Positivo il tovagliato di tessuto e non di carta.
Notato personale numeroso ma un po'
confusionario.
Tempi d attesa normali (siamo arrivati alle 20).
Prezzi per primi piatti e pizzeria contenuti.

.alle critiche *l'imprenditore " ha risposto con maleducazione e arroganza. Su una capienza di 60 persone eravamo 150.

04/03/2025: Era molto tempo che non pranzavo alla Giara , e devo dire che sono rimasto molto soddisfatto, come ricordavo del resto.Un pranzo infra di lavoro, ospite di amici del posto. Sapori autentici: bruschetta semplice accompagnata da legumi, mezze maniche alla carbonara ed un assaggio di secondo, ottima carne tagliata. Vino cerasuolo bio. Sicuramente un punto di riferimento culinario in zona Alto Aterno.

29/06/2025: Una comida memorable en Pescacasseroli fue nuestra cena en La Rotonda. Se trata de una pequeña pizzería familiar (muy cerca del Hotel Daniel donde estábamos estacionando), un montón de opciones vegetarianas en el menú, pizzas frescas que salen de un horno de leña, con un servicio amable.
22/02/2025: Piccola pizzeria, ottima pizza cotta nel forno a legna, semplice, servizio veloce.
Purtroppo l ingresso e l esterno poco curati.

29/04/2025: Un'ottima pizza 🍕 quella offerta da La Lanterna. Base ampia e sottile, impasto leggero e digeribile, condimento adeguato. Di qualità anche i dolci 🍮.
Bello il locale, comode le sedie e ampi i tavoli tondi. Un'arma a doppio taglio la presenza dell'area cucina e forno ♨️ a vista che rende l'ambiente piacevole d'inverno, caldo d'estate.
Bene il servizio, prezzi abbastanza in linea con i tempi; difficile ormai uscire con meno di 30€ anche da una pizzeria (bruschette divise, pizza, birra 🍺 e dolce).
