28/03/2026: Valentine's Day ruined. I tried to book by phone after they never responded to my emails. They told me there was no room. My partner booked online. There was room, but we had to leave the restaurant by 9 pm because there were two sittings. However, the restaurant had many empty seats. There was room for two, squeezed between two large tables, causing confusion and annoying waiters who rushed you. The dishes were expensive and not up to par with what appears to be a restaurant with high expectations. Ultimately, I spent too much, ate too little, and the service and treatment were poor and disappointing.

25/03/2026: Servizio accurato e ottimi piatti. Pesce fresco, crudo e crostacei di qualità. Lista vini molto ampia con una sezione dedicata agli champagne che non ha paragoni in zona. Location moderna e funzionale, ampio parcheggio. Accetta Amex. L'esperienza è positiva e merita di essere vissuta. I prezzi sono proporzionati alla qualità.

Thanks to Salvatore, who welcomed us warmly, and Manuela, who captivated our palates in the kitchen. 🤪 We ordered a menu with a first course, second course, and side dish, and we ate every dish with gusto. I would definitely return.

21/03/2026: A slice of Naples (and the sea) in Ponte San Giovanni! If you're looking for a place where quality meets tradition, Ristorante Pizzeria La Gioiosa is an absolute must. I was there recently and the experience was impeccable from start to finish. The "Mergellina" Pizza: a journey of flavors I tried their Mergellina pizza and what can I say... amazing! A light, digestible dough with a honeycomb crust that screams "true Neapolitan school." The broccoli rabe topping is generous and flavorful, perfectly balanced. You can taste the top-quality ingredients. Fried Fish: Pure Crispyness I couldn't resist trying the mixed fried fish. Served in a very original way in the classic "cuoppo" paper wrapper inside the plate, it was dry, crispy, and not at all greasy. The shrimp and calamari were incredibly tender and fresh. The presentation is refined and inviting, accompanied by a fresh lemon salad that cleanses the palate. ​Ambience: Welcoming and spacious, perfect for both a romantic dinner and a large group of friends. ​Service: Friendly, prompt, and always smiling staff. ​Value for Money: Excellent, considering the freshness of the ingredients. If you're in the Perugia/Ponte San Giovanni area and crave well-prepared seafood or an unforgettable pizza, La Gioiosa is a must-visit. I'll definitely be back!
