06/08/2025: Had the most delicious pizza at Don Raffaele. The staff was very friendly and looked after us. They even gave us Napoli t-shirt after winning the poker. The owner is a legend!
19/07/2025: A pizzeria with a casual, family atmosphere. A fairly large space comprising two adjoining rooms, the service and decor are simple but efficient. The pizza is good, with a fairly thin crust, generous toppings, and a good, digestible dough. A variety of beers are available, all from a local craft brewery located a few kilometers from the pizzeria. Prices are quite reasonable for what they offer. Free street parking is available.

28/07/2025: The atmosphere is very welcoming and pleasant, it's a good place to be, the service is very well organised and the dishes and drinks are of excellent quality.
22/07/2025: The pizza and restaurant are very good, with excellent service. Excellent value for money. I prefer to go in the summer because they have a nice outdoor terrace, although they also have plenty of room inside.

30/07/2025: We stopped by purely by chance, and it was almost our last choice... I must say I was pleasantly surprised. The octopus and potato cream were exceptional, and two pizzas were good and well-topped... perhaps a little too much mozzarella for my wife and I, but that's just personal preference. Even though the place was very busy, the service was attentive and fast.
I'll definitely keep that in mind if I return to the Sant'Ambrogio area.
14/07/2025: Our expectations were far exceeded. The owners went to great lengths to describe their delicious lunch menu to us in English and Italian. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. We would stop there again if we're in Varese.

03/08/2025: Food below average, doesn't deserve to be at that price level.
Service was incredibly fast at first, food was fast too, even though the pizza was undercooked, when I complained, they very willingly cooked it for me, but ordering another one was impossible and I told 3 waiters to pay and waited over 15 minutes. It seems that more people have this experience...
And the atmosphere-that's our stupidity that we voluntarily sat in this barbiehouse...

20/07/2025: I'm celiac, and I was delighted to see a bunch of AIC stickers at the entrance to the restaurant, convinced I'd eat well and safely.
I ordered a pizza with bacon and mushrooms, and the look alone was disappointing.
The crust was obviously frozen, tasteless, and doughy.
Poor-quality mushrooms.
When it came to dessert, there was NOTHING gluten-free.
Not even a panna cotta or a sorbet, things that are naturally gluten-free.
Absolute disappointment.

The menu had a wide selection, including starters, meat/fish main courses, and pizza.
We all ate the tagliata and were satisfied!
The panna cotta with Nutella was a fantastic finale 😍
Ample parking, a spacious restaurant, and friendly staff!

12/08/2025: Amazing pizza, delicious. The owners were friendly and welcoming. We even slept there; they have modern, clean, and spacious rooms next door, just a 3-minute walk from the lakefront. Perfect. Unfortunately, we had a tragic evening with the other guests in the room next door, who argued furiously all night, but that certainly doesn't change our opinion of the place. Both for the food and the accommodation, it's 5-star considering the price we paid. We've been there before and will be back.

17/08/2025: Excellent restaurant/pizzeria. This evening we had a fish dinner: mussels, gnocchi with clams, and grilled sea bream. Everything was delicious and very fresh. The restaurant is clean, the staff are friendly and helpful. I highly recommend it.

02/08/2025: We ate at Il Pozzo in Sorrento and ordered a white fish dish and a salmon dish. The fish were very well cooked, fresh, and flavorful; the quality was truly evident. However, the portions of the accompanying salad and mashed potatoes were quite small, which left us feeling a bit short in that regard. The white fish portion was also quite small. The place is pleasant, and the service was decent.

24/06/2025: Stop here for tasty pizzas and bakery products. From breakfast to lunch and dinner Roberto (the owner) has all covered! Everything is prepared on-site and from scratch.
The quality and taste are really authentic, people are genuine and the prices are very reasonable.
