21/03/2026: If you want some of the best quality Italian food this is definitely a place to go to. Although just a little bit more expensive than other places in resort, It is definitely worth every single penny and still very reasonably priced at around €25 per head (excluding drinks)

01/02/2026: Absolutely fantastic. The food was amazing and the girls were lovely. Everyone is so smiley it’s so refreshing!!! We had polenta and it was delicious. I’d recommend the sausage one but also the spezzatino was 10/10!! Well done

We just had lunch here, but it was great. Good soup and a very nice cheese/meat platter.
13/09/2025: The Barba Ferrero Refuge was a pleasant surprise, especially from its manager.
A helpfulness and kindness I've never encountered in the many refuges I've visited. We only stopped for lunch, but next time we'll try to stay a night. Highly recommended.

08/03/2026: The wonderful sunny day made everything even more beautiful.
We had lunch outside on the lovely terrace. The hosts were welcoming, there was no wait, and the food was excellent. The polenta concia was delicious, and the sausage stew was even better.
25/01/2026: Aside from the somewhat challenging climb, the place is nice, the food is good, and the girls are very nice and friendly.

16/02/2026: We had dinner here on a Sunday evening in February. The place is charming, and the service is friendly and quick. We ordered a platter of cured meats and cheeses, filei with hare ragù, Fassona beef fillet, trout with potatoes, bunet (a kind of breaded bread), and a warm-hearted tart. Everything was excellent. The price was reasonable.

05/01/2026: We spent 5 days over New Year's Eve 2026. The location is excellent, with a stunning view just steps from the gondola lift that takes you to the slopes. The hotel is beautiful, but there were two things that I'd never experienced before that turned me up. The first was that after paying the (substantial) deposit at the time of booking, about two weeks before departure, I was asked for everything else. The second was finding out at dinner that the appetizer (always the same one) was paid separately.
One last note: the spa could be improved.
29/09/2025: We had a wonderful time. The welcome was excellent, the facility was welcoming, the rooms comfortable, the pool and sauna excellent. Breakfast was well-organized.

02/03/2026: Very good restaurant, with carefully prepared and tasty dishes.
The only flaw was the somewhat slow but very friendly service.
We had a platter of cured meats and cheeses as an appetizer, followed by duck breast and pork cheek. For dessert, a tiramisu. In total, we spent €80 for two, without wine.
Recommended.
14/02/2026: On the day I went, the atmosphere was very welcoming but too noisy.

04/10/2025: Two spritzes, a carafe of water, two platters of cold cuts, and a second course of ribs with polenta... €60, and he even told me he rounded up the price in my favor... I forgot, a basket of bread, too.
Too expensive.

25/09/2025: We have been to this restaurant several times during our stay and loved it. The people are so friendly. The food is amazing. We have tried the traditional miacce. It's kind of like a small crepe in a taco shape. We loved eating something authentic from the region. We've also had sandwiches to take on our mountain hike, and an incredible dessert. The prices are fantastic. I would definitely recommend this place.
28/08/2025: They offer decaffeinated and lactose-free cappuccinos. Gluten-free options include lasagna and cookies (in bags), also vegan.

27/12/2025: I was with my family, poorly organized is an understatement, it's unclear how it works.
Usually in shelters, in all the ones I've been to, you go inside and order, here you go inside and start ordering, then they tell you it's better to go outside to the totem and order, exorbitant prices, while you're ordering at the totem, we ask if we can sit inside to eat, yes there's a table free for an hour, a girl who works there replies, okay we go inside they tell us there isn't one, outside tables without mushrooms, at least they can heat it up a bit, after half an hour of all this cinema we left, away......never again.

01/03/2026: Me and my friend were there every night (7 nights) and played cards for hours, partied w the bartender and everything in between. The workers and the owner were really kind and genuine, the prices were exceptional, and the atmosphere was great (what kind of atmosphere it is depends on the time of the week). Would highly recommend! Prob the best bar in Alagna.
22/02/2026: An hour's wait (with the place half empty) for two miacce so small they looked like those appetizers they sometimes give you for free before the main course you've ordered, with the single slice of prosciutto heated until it was cooked through and the toma cheese I didn't even taste. Of course, we stopped there and went for a pizza.

16/03/2026: We had an extremely enjoyable dinner during our stay on Sunday, March 15. The menu was carefully curated and rich, featuring traditional Sicilian and Piedmontese selections, from appetizers to dessert. Huge compliments to Chef Andrea Stelo and his staff. Special thanks also to Giada, who served and pampered us with attention and professionalism, but above all, with a smile. Thank you!

15/07/2025: Abbiamo provato questo ristorante la sera del ns.arrivo e non l' abbiamo piu' cambiato. Menù vario con piatti tipici tutti ottimi, una menzione particolare per i dolci. Proprietario e personale gentilissimi, location pulizia impeccabile e accogliente.

Il menù oltre ai classici piatti tipici offre interessanti digressioni. Personale cortese e premuroso. Veramente gustoso il riso secondo una ricetta nepalese, eccellente l'hummus con verdure saltate. Buona e abbondate la trota al timo e fantastico il dolce millenium. Prezzo corretto. Bravi !
