26/07/2025: I wanted to travel to Lake Maggiore again because of nostalgic memories. As a child, I often visited Luino with my family, and decades later, I became friends with a pleasant fellow named Dario. He himself was a theater director and author—may he rest in peace—and he showed me what truly defines Lake Maggiore. This year, I was drawn to Intra. I was visiting the Basilica, as my niece was planning to get married there, when, after a long walk, I felt like having a quick drink. So, quite by chance, I passed the Blue Moon bar, which is not far from the Basilica but still spared the mass tourism (I, of course, am one of them). The owner greeted me warmly, and I ordered an Aperol Spritz (or, as they call it here, a Sprizz). I sat down. To my surprise, I was the only customer. I waited longer than expected, which initially made me suspect that the service here wasn't satisfactory enough, which is why there were no customers. But I didn't have anything else planned anyway, so I was enjoying a few lines from my book of poems by Piero Chiara. Suddenly, Alfredo arrived with the spritz I'd ordered and also served me some sandwiches with cheese or prosciutto, as well as olives, chips, and crackers. I politely said I just wanted a drink, and he replied in a gentle voice, "Calm down." With his calm, philosophical response, I also adopted this attitude and slowly began to taste the food. To my amazement, I devoured everything and was more than satisfied. I thought to myself: now just a small Moretti and the evening is over. I ordered, and Alfredo came back with a culinary selection of Italian "tapas." It was once again delicious, although I must admit that the second course was more about hedonism than hunger. Molto Bene e grazie mille. I had to cancel my restaurant reservation because I was so full (and slightly tipsy), and my wallet barely lost any weight thanks to the very reasonable prices at the Blue Moon bar. The Antica Osteria San Pietro will have to wait. But Intra, amore mio, believe me, I'll be back!

01/05/2024: Siamo stati in questo pub bello e accogliente per festeggiare un anniversario...questa volta vado subito al punto....abbiamo ordinato una Fiorentina Irlandese di 1.5 kg così dice il menù da 80 euro....richiesta cottura al sangue. Al tavolo e' arrivata una fiorentina in avanzato stato di deterioramento....puzzava. Ora so cosa vuol dire frollatura. Sono del mestiere... La prima parte di costata se lasciata lì per tempo deve essere tolta perché diventa secca e nera quando invecchia....E' stata servita proprio questa prima parte. Al che l'abbiamo rimandata indietro con imbarazzo della cameriera che si e' resa conto anche lei dell'accaduto. Gentilmente l'hanno rifatta. Ma purtroppo anche la seconda era più o meno così... Ho detto quindi in modo imbarazzante che non avevamo più fame e se potevano incartarcela per i "cani". Ora non mi aspetto in cucina in un pub Chef, Sous chef, garden mager ecc..ma un responsabile che controlli questo si. Oltrettutto la carne non viene pesata al tavolo, viene servita su una piastra rovente che passa da cottura sangue a stra cotta nel tempo che il cameriere la porta in tavola....tralascio come sia stata precedentemente tagliata e disossata...meglio dire massacrata... Faccio i complimenti solo per il personale di sala molto gentile e visibilmente in imbarazzo. Non un responsabile si e' presentato per chiedere se qualcosa non andasse......ma se su 2 fiorentine una la rimando indietro e la seconda non la mangio fatti due domande. PS la carne l'ho congelata...sto pensando di spedirla all' Asl.... E' la prima volta che mi capita una cosa simile

30/05/2025: Der Service war grottenschlecht und absolut unpünktlich. Der Tropfen der das Fass zum überlaufen gebracht hat war das das Voressen zum Schluss kam. Das Essen an sich war einigermaßen essbar aber die Garnelen waren mehlig und der Fisch teils schon kalt. Fazit: kein Lokal um festlich zu essen bzw. Eine gute Stimmung zu haben.

05/07/2025: Bon produit bon repas mais l'eau du robinet à 2,50 € c'est un peu cher. Personnel souriant et accueillant. Restaurant si tu es sur une petite place

31/01/2025: Así que aquí estamos el último día de enero y el primer día en Italia. Llegamos al restaurante después de un corto paseo desde el camping para encontrar una cálida bienvenida encantadora, pero la comida no se sirve esta noche. lo suficientemente justo, así que decidimos quedarnos para una bebida - Prosecco local al norte de Italia y un delicioso vino tinto local - Piemonte Barbera. Y luego 20 minutos después apareció la pizza de margarita más deliciosa, yum, y luego más tarde: queso, jamón y salami. Qué amable: )

08/10/2024: Luogo accogliente, bella enregia di serenità e convivialità. Piatti di stagione gustosi e abbondanti Il personale è sorridente , gentile, semplice , spontaneamente simpatico e accogliente Ci siamo trovati molto bene , fa bene ritrovare l'autenticità dell'essere . Grazie a voi tutti

13/09/2024: Heerlijk gegeten, super sympathieke en gastvrij mensen. Taalbarrière was er enigszins enkel door creativiteit van beide zijde kwamen we er op een leuke manier uit. De gezamenlijke band ontstond direct. Wat een gezellige avond, muziek en een echte lach. Aanrader is de pizza kebab, wat een smaaksensatie vanaf de eerste tot de (helaas) laatste hap

03/09/2024: Muy buena pizza de leña! Y un perro muy lindo. Yo recomendaría saber italiano básico, pero no lo hicimos y nos las arreglamos también. La pizza cuesta entre 7 y 10 € y estaba deliciosa.

20/09/2024: Gelato eccezionale, in particolare i gusti ovetto, cremino e cremino al pistacchio. Difficile trovare un gelato allo stesso livello. Personale gentile.

10/08/2024: Glacier artisanal situé près bord du lac, présent depuis longtemps à Intra. Beaucoup de choix de parfums, des parfums intéressants. Après dégustation, j'ai beaucoup apprécié cette glace servie en portion généreuse. Une glace suffisamment crémeuse, bien équilibrée, pas trop sucrée, vraiment très bonne.

25/09/2023: Un oasi di relax, immerso nella quiete delle montagne, tantissimi i percorsi e le passeggiate disponibili. Una struttura semplice, quasi essenziale come a rispettare la vita austera della montagna, ma ciò che rende Yolki Palki unico nel suo genere è l'ospitalità del suo staff, che ti accoglie e ti coccola per rendere il tuo soggiorno davvero speciale.
