12/01/2025: One of the best restaurants in Piedmont!!

25/11/2024: Ero stato alcuni anni fa, almeno una decina , d'estate, allora il rapporto qualità prezzo mi sembrava buono. Pranzo con amici, tavolata di 12 persone, accoglienza e sistemazione buona per non disturbare e non essere disturbati. Incuriositi abbiamo assaggiato molto fiduciosi non solo i nostri piatti Ma....... la battuta al coltello sembrava più tritata , mi sarei aspettato di più. La lingua tenerissima e bagnetto buono. Tagliolini col tartufo ..... un po' scotti ! Sopravvalutato il prezzo 65 euro Tagliolini con in funghi non mi hanno impressionato, non una esplosione di sapori Costolette di agnello buone "Tenerone" tipo stracotto un po' durone. Il cavallo non lo ho capito, e io adoro la carne di cavallo. Dolci discreti. Media degli ordini : 1 antipasto e 1 piatto, dolci presi in 6 su 12, giro di brut aperitivo (offerto) 1 magnum di Bacialè e 1 bottigla di Ruchè, 3 bicchieri di moscato, caffè. Conto +/- 79,1 a testa. Digerito benissimo. Allora: se non fossimo di Alessandria (anche se sparsi per il mondo) e non conoscessimo la cucina del nostro territorio potrebbe anche andare abbastanza bene perché non va male. Ma in Alessandria si può mangiare così spendendo meno o pagare così mangiando meglio. Ero entusiasta dell' idea ma da un posto così mi aspetto di più, semplicemente. Quindi do 3/10 perché i lati positivi ci sono, ma non siamo turisti stranieri, così ci siamo sentiti (strana sensazione). Non mi spinge a tornare ma cercherò di ritornare, perché gestire un ristorante è difficile, perché la domenica a pranzo è difficile, perché le critiche fatte e lette sono in linea con quanto da me sopra scritto ma devono essere un consiglio, non leoni da tastiera!

15/01/2025: Nestled among the Acqui hills is this modern osteria which offers traditional Piedmontese dishes together with a vast choice of local wines. The interior is welcoming and relaxing, a place suitable for groups and couples. We will definitely be back!

25/02/2025: Typical tavern. Very pleasant environment. Perfect place for Sunday lunches, warm and familiar atmosphere. Very good dishes, wine experts. We will gladly return.

04/02/2025: L'ambiente è carino, tranquillo e molto cordiale. I piatti sono ben preparati, con materie prime locali, il vino ottimo (la carta dei vini è notevole), il personale ed i titolari veramente molto, molto gentili!! Da ritornare appena possibile!!!

20/01/2025: We came 2 times in 1 day!! But the first time we tried the sandwiches and they were really delicious and the second time for the aperitif which was also top and plentiful. The ingredients are fresh and the flavors well balanced. Special thanks to Laura, the waitress, for her kindness and professionalism. An experience I highly recommend!

19/01/2025: I would describe Villa Fontana… an enchanting place…. where in its simplicity relaxation, attention to detail and refinement are at home! The trained, welcoming and helpful staff make your stay even more pleasant!! I recommend it to anyone who wants to treat themselves to a wellness pampering! Excellent starting point for discovering the many beautiful places surrounding Monferrato and the Langhe!! I found everything perfect!! highly recommended

11/01/2025: Excellent massage but the water in the spa hot tub was not hot. The welcome was also quite anonymous

15/02/2025: We spent Valentine's Day dinner in the restaurant, a beautiful place with polite and helpful staff. We tried their famous Agnolotti del plin al napkin, exceptional! The starters are also excellent, with the possibility of tastings to try more than one. The same goes for desserts! I highly recommend, try it! We will definitely be back, congratulations

10/02/2025: Posto bellissimo e credo anche con un bel panorama che non abbiamo potuto apprezzare a causa clima. Cibo ottimo, antipasti buonissimi e ben presentati, i plin al tovagliolo meravigliosi, il personale giovane, gentile e sempre disponibile. Dolci veramente buoni. Conto coerente a quanto ricevuto.

04/02/2025: Excellent traditional local dishes, some of which, such as the financiera, are very difficult to find elsewhere. The large mixed boiled meat is notable. Great choice of wines. Highly recommended, but you need to book well in advance.

12/01/2025: Osteria does not give credit to the exceptional quality of the food, the presentation of the dishes and the service offered. We ate at the C'era una Volta osteria and will be back soon. Pleasant discovery. Outdoors you can enjoy a splendid sunset. The dishes have nothing to envy of a starred restaurant 👏👏 excellent quality/price ratio.

26/01/2025: Today at lunch, entering this restaurant which from the outside seemed a bit anonymous, we were pleasantly surprised first by the welcome and immediately afterwards by the menu but above all by the food. you immediately feel welcomed and pampered Without intrusiveness...the dishes are traditional and some are innovative. This time we tried the traditional tasting menu...a heavenly stuffed onion, the perfect tajarin with ragù and the chicken with muscat, what can I say is a pleasure from times gone by. We concluded with a very good saffron panna cotta but I have to say for me the best was the bunet which "moved" me, taking me back to memories of my grandmother when she made a pudding with the same flavour, which I have never tasted since. Congratulations because Your passion for your work fully shines through, keeping the memories of the area alive... WE WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK 🌟

20/11/2024: We got married on Sunday 8 September, a difficult day meteorologically speaking, yet the Vecchio Castagno fulfilled all our wishes! Between the beauty of the location, the attention to every little detail, the attention, the kindness of the staff and the beautiful "plan B", the rain literally took a back seat. We entrusted ourselves to Maria Grazia and Roberta knowing, from the first moment we met them, that we would be in excellent hands, they were impeccable, kind, helpful, unique!! The lovely place and the excellent and plentiful food, excellent quality/price! What can I say, we would like to get married again to relive all this ❤️ Simply thank you for making our day unique and unforgettable, we really couldn't ask for more!

12/11/2024: Fairytale wedding November 2024 We chose the Vecchio Castagno as the location for our wedding. From the first day we went to visit the estate and subsequently in testing the menu we found kindness, professionalism and excellent quality of the food. The availability of Mrs. Mariagrazia and Roberta struck us and therefore we chose to have our wedding there. On the wedding day everything was perfect, all the staff provided an excellent service and all the guests complimented the quality of the food and the beauty of the place. I would recommend this wonderful estate surrounded by greenery with an enchanting view to anyone.

14/01/2025: Osteria located in the center of Agliano Terme, at the top of a hill, with breathtaking views of Monferrato. The place is clean, welcoming and charming. We had a wonderful dinner from starter to dessert, noting the quality of the raw materials. Very kind and helpful staff.
