06/04/2026: The restaurant "Le due lanterne" is situated in the heart of Nizza Monferrato (at Piazza Giuseppe Garibaldi, were you can easily park your car). Since 2025 it has two new owners, a young and very committed couple with Andrea Cavallo as chef in the citchen and Valentina Torello as manager of service. We were there for the first time for lunch. Andreas and Valentina renovated the guestrooms totally new and they did a great job. They are very chic, warm, modern and lightful. You feel yourself there as a guest from the first moment very well and welcome. For sure Valentina and her service team are beside the ambience the main reason for feeling so well - they do all together a great job. They are very kind, professional and overlooking. It feels very good to be their guests. Andrea and his team in the kitchen cook simply fantastic. One of us had the Tasting Menue of four courses which was simply amazing. As starter we had a Tartare made of the meat of the local Fassone veal from Piemont, it was hand chopped, extremly fresh, perfectly seasoned and combined with Parmesan. Wow. Also the Pasta (Tajarin 40 Tuorli) with Ragu as Primo and the perfectly smooth braised veal as Secondo were outstanding. Very delicous was also the Green Asparagus with a perfectly soft-boiled egg and an amazing sauce - a special and wonderful vegetarian main dish. For dessert we had the famous local Bonet Monferrino, a fresh homemade Chocolate-Amaretto custard. Additional the restaurant offers many very good wines from the Piemont, everyone will find his or her special wine. All together "Le due lanterne" offers fantastic local food and wine from Piemont in a real excellent quality with a very warm and overlooking service. It's the perfect place for special culinary Italian moments. The prices are very fair for the offered highly quality. The recommandation of the Guide Michelin is in our opinion absolutely correct. We are looking very much forward to our next visit there. Grazie mille Andrea and Valentina - alla prossima!!

01/05/2026: What can I say...it's like dining at home!! The menu doesn't feature any "local" dishes and, at first glance, seems extremely touristy. The surprise comes with dishes made with extremely high-quality products, with a special mention for the homemade pasta. The wine list is extensive and features excellent wineries, both local and international. The courteous and competent service is also top-notch. The location is located in the center of Asti, so you can barely see it from the outside...the interior is truly beautiful and refined. The prices are absolutely fair. In short, 5 stars for the whole experience!!! Congratulations!

01/05/2026: What can I say? I found this restaurant on Google and I can confirm that everything was excellent, from the food to the courtesy, and above all the kindness of Miss Sonia! The food is excellent and the place is spectacular! Definitely worth repeating.

15/02/2026: Not a completely positive experience; the children's area definitely needs to be reconsidered, as it isn't equipped with child-friendly furnishings. The most dangerous elements in the room are iron cabinets with sharp edges and a table with broken tiles, which should definitely be removed before anyone gets hurt. The food served didn't live up to expectations (I ordered a chicken burger), and the quality of the chicken didn't seem to be the best. The sliced ​​meat served, however, was very good, as was the Italian version of Coke. The beer-based desserts were good. The service was a bit slow, but the staff was friendly and helpful. The €3 beer promotion if you download the app is excellent.

09/02/2026: We went to this place on a Saturday night with friends... the food was truly excellent, and despite the large crowd, everything arrived quickly and piping hot, a sign that the kitchen was truly well-organized. The flavors were also excellent, both the sandwiches and the pizza slices we ordered as an "aperitif." On the other hand, the wait staff, who took our order at our table in a very hasty and listless manner, left before we could even finish, leaving us to call another waitress for the rest... on top of that, they completely forgot about our table; in fact, when the food arrived, we didn't have placemats or cutlery. Last but not least, after ordering a coffee, we were forgotten again, and it never arrived... For this reason, we decided to pay directly at the table with the QR code to avoid having to deal with the listless and unprofessional staff. Even though the food was very good, I don't think we'll return in the future. P.S. I would advise the managers to turn up the heating temperature because it was really cold in the room!

03/05/2026: The first time the boiled meat dinner was exciting... we returned a second time which confirmed the exceptionality of the place... delightful owners and staff, all the courses taken care of down to the smallest details, sublime wine... we will be back!

29/04/2026: A magical place. A breathtaking view. The place is clean and the outdoor seating is lovely. The meat is excellent, tasty, and perfectly cooked. The appetizers are all delicious. The menu also features a few Argentinean wines, which we tried and thoroughly enjoyed. For me, the only flaw is the paella. I wasn't entirely sold on it; it was a bit too soupy. Otherwise, it's definitely worth a try.
