08/07/2026: We returned last Saturday to the romantic garden. The staff were very kind, the food excellent, and the wine excellent. It's always a wonderful experience. Excellent restaurant...beautiful location in the garden...everything delicious. The excellent Gavi risotto and the ravioli al tocco. Everything was delicious, from the appetizer to the freshly prepared dessert. The wine list is endless. The staff were very kind...fantastic evening. Thank you, Franco and Grazia.

30/05/2026: I almost never leave negative reviews. La Gallina forced my hand. We visited on 29th May 2026. Nearly every dish arrived dry and overcooked. My 6yo daughter’s cotoletta alla milanese was so tough she physically could not chew it. Her dinner ended up being just fries. She was still hungry when we left — I had to order her food back at the hotel. €30 for two rubbery scallops for a starter. Monkfish only edible thanks to a sauce masking completely dry fish. Beef and pasta with tomato sauces were fine — that is the only positive I can offer on the food. Service was chaotic — four different waiters, no coordination, a bill from another table thrown down in front of us. When we complained, Chef Graziano Cacciopolli walked away. No apology. Not a single word. No manager ever came to our table. And then — as if to make the insult complete — we waited 10 to 15 minutes for the dessert menu that never really came. Exhausted and fed up, we finally asked for the bill ourselves. It arrived within a minute. That told us everything. When they want you gone, they move fast. When you need attention as a paying guest, you are invisible. We did not just feel poorly served. We felt unwelcome. For a restaurant of this reputation, charging these prices, that is simply ridiculous and unforgivable. The location is beautiful. The staff are clearly trying under impossible conditions. But Chef Graziano Cacciopolli and management failed on every level — in the kitchen and in basic human decency toward their guests. A waste of money and a deeply unpleasant evening for our family.

09/07/2026: An excellent restaurant right in the historic center of the small village of Gavi, at the foot of the fort. A historic venue with exposed stone walls and a vaulted ceiling. Excellent quality on every course, from appetizers to dessert. Typical local cuisine with Piedmontese and Ligurian influences, and an excellent wine selection. Excellent service, and very helpful, courteous, and friendly staff. Highly recommended.

09/06/2026: I've been there 4-5 times with my wife and adult son. The room is nice, Illaria and Giacomo are very nice, the food is delicious, the view is beautiful. When we go to the outlet, we always stay here. Only the wifi is weak, everything else is great.

28/05/2026: Simple rooms, as is typical for an agriturismo. Air conditioning, small refrigerator, and kettle are provided. Pool, parking, and good dinner. Italian breakfast with lots of sweets :-) A good place to stay in the area.

06/06/2026: Well done! Congratulations, the takeaway pizza was delicious, the staff were friendly, we'll be back soon to try the cheese focaccia too.

19/05/2026: Everything was perfect! The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming, the hospitality was outstanding, and the place itself was beautiful and comfortable. The food was absolutely delicious as well.

06/05/2026: Aperitif with a view at an outdoor table, 4 people, 4 glasses of wine (very poor considering €9 per glass), with an aperitif and a few courses, €200. An exaggeration, not recommended.

30/03/2026: A delightful discovery. As soon as you enter, you're greeted by a timeless setting, with brick vaults creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The cuisine is simple yet refined, with delicate and refined flavors. The wine selection is excellent, as is the interesting and unusual dessert menu. A truly perfect evening.

07/06/2026: The coffee was excellent, and the amaretti were so good I bought them to take to friends and family...I recommend them. The ladies were very kind.

02/02/2026: A splendid bar with Genoese wood paneling from the 1920s. Inside, time has stood still for decades. The service is friendly and engaging. They'll share local stories and curiosities if you want to interact with them. They offer extraordinary homemade Baci di Dama, as well as delicious amaretti biscuits and a fine selection of wines from Gavi cellars at reasonable prices.

28/06/2026: A trattoria from another era, renovated but retaining its original spirit and warmth. Good food, truly lovely location. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. I will definitely be back.

02/05/2026: Yesterday I went to the Ai Nebbioli restaurant and had a really good time. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and I felt at home. The service and food were excellent; the waitress was super kind and skilled. As for the food, I have nothing to complain about; everything was delicious, from appetizers to desserts. I'll be back often.

12/07/2026: We arrived an hour before closing and were greeted with great pleasure. All the staff are very kind and friendly, hats off! Very fast and good service and food! Bravo to you! 01/02/2026: Quality food, well-cooked. We ordered a seafood/mountain dish, a first course with spaghetti, clams, and artichokes, a second course with braised beef, spinach puree, and a dessert with pears in wine, accompanied by local rosé ice cream. It's a shame it wasn't still there.

05/01/2026: Recommended by a friend...booked and off we go! Simple, authentic place. The ravioli are excellent. Excellent value. I'll definitely be back, hoping to find this place again!
