Found a table by a seemingly INCREDIBLE stroke of luck.
This place is a hidden gem, 10 courses of appetizers, each better than the last.
Then the pasta, poetry. We tried three types of pasta, but the spaghetti with clams was LEGENDARY.
The main courses were also excellent.
But when it came to desserts, when I thought there wouldn't be room, I changed my mind, because they were so good I wanted more.
If you're looking for the perfect photo, don't go. Otherwise, try them, but reservations are high year after year, and I'm not kidding!

04/04/2026: I'd been there before...and I knew what restaurant it was.
Over time, they've confirmed their reputation.
The meat, tender and deliciously light rib-eye steak.
The food is excellent, including the fish, and the restaurant is well-stocked. The wines are up to par, with an excellent cellar and a competent staff.
The price is reasonable for what they offer.
I'll definitely return.

14/03/2026: The mussels were old, and the flavor was decidedly unpleasant—be careful. Food poisoning is easy to get like that. The rest was okay, but nothing special. Almost all the fish was frozen, but honestly, that's what was listed on the menu.
23/02/2026: A delicious experience. We only had two entrees because we were in a bit of a hurry. The portions were generous, well-mixed, and very tasty. We'll be back soon to try other dishes.

15/03/2026: I absolutely recommend the seafood carbonara, truly excellent and well-prepared (the one pictured is a portion for two). The setting is simple, informal, and the service is friendly.

The atmosphere is small and very chaotic, but for a culinary-pleasant lunch/dinner, I highly recommend it.
Advance reservations are also recommended, otherwise it's difficult to find a seat!

08/04/2026: Local restaurant with delicious food! The set lunch menu during the week is a great value and we were so happy with our choices. My husband had the pasta with mussels and I had the pesto for starters and both were wonderful. We are so happy with our experience. Please be understanding that it is a busy place and only two people to serve the customers so it is important to be patient.

30/03/2026: I've been frequenting the shack for many years now, and I'm happy there as always. The food is excellent and the kindness is never lacking.
21/11/2025: It's a favorite place, but unfortunately, on the last three occasions, something has gone wrong. Once the ravioli were very salty, once the tagliolini were loose, once the seafood was watery. I assume something has changed in the kitchen. My rating isn't negative, but I hope you'll soon return to your "recent" glories. In my opinion, it's the most beautiful and characteristic restaurant in Viareggio.

13/03/2026: Truly excellent restaurant in the Darsena district of Viareggio. A charming and well-kept venue with a very pleasant atmosphere. The food was excellent, and the service was attentive, friendly, and professional. We started with a five-course appetizer, each one more delicious than the last. This was followed by a sublime Viareggio-style risotto, and truly special paccheri with calamari and shrimp. To finish, a homemade dessert: a simply wonderful strudel with ice cream. An experience I absolutely recommend.
