15/05/2026: For lunch with friends, we all came here to eat together, finding several typical local dishes on the menu. We ordered a seafood appetizer, which I honestly thought would come with both raw and cooked ingredients, and not just small plates of cooked food. I was wrong not to ask what it included, but I usually mean everything. €27, good but a bit disappointing for the portion and also for expectations. A Trabaccolara was €24, very good, a tordello with ragù, €16, and a mixed fried calamari and shrimp, €26, again a bit small for the price. Dessert was €9, and water was €4 per bottle. (Cottage charge also €4 per person). A refined place that is still noteworthy for its quality. It's a bit pricey compared to other places, but I wanted to try it, and in the end, apart from the seafood appetizer, the rest is satisfactory. Very fast and friendly service, the place is also very nice inside so I recommend it anyway

A fabulous location, but breakfast has some issues The place is truly enchanting, with attention to every detail and a rare aesthetic. There's just a bit of confusion about its identity: the sign outside says **Madame Sophie**, but officially it still seems to be called **Pazza Idea**. As for breakfast, highlights and shadows: * **Brioche:** Excellent dough, fresh and very pleasant. * **Presentation:** Everything was meticulously crafted, from the dishes to the cappuccinos (which are beautiful to look at, even if the flavor is a little less intense than it looks). * **The downside:** The Chantilly cream disappointed us. It tasted too much like cream and not enough like actual cream, resulting in a lackluster experience. ** **Positive note:** Despite the small flaw with the breakfast, we saw some truly inviting-looking lunch dishes pass by. We will definitely be back to try the cuisine, because the quality of the dishes that came out seemed excellent.

08/04/2026: Local restaurant with delicious food! The set lunch menu during the week is a great value and we were so happy with our choices. My husband had the pasta with mussels and I had the pesto for starters and both were wonderful. We are so happy with our experience. Please be understanding that it is a busy place and only two people to serve the customers so it is important to be patient.

16/03/2026: We had booked with The Fork, they cancelled the reservation with the reason "closure of the restaurant" instead, passing by us to reach another restaurant we see that it is open...

13/03/2026: Truly excellent restaurant in the Darsena district of Viareggio. A charming and well-kept venue with a very pleasant atmosphere. The food was excellent, and the service was attentive, friendly, and professional. We started with a five-course appetizer, each one more delicious than the last. This was followed by a sublime Viareggio-style risotto, and truly special paccheri with calamari and shrimp. To finish, a homemade dessert: a simply wonderful strudel with ice cream. An experience I absolutely recommend.

03/05/2026: L'Orchid is a guarantee if you're craving the freshest fish. Homemade cooking without any sauces like cream (an added guarantee). The owner is frank and sincere; if you're polite, you'll be treated with kid gloves... otherwise... (and he's right, these days). His wife is in the kitchen, and in addition to delighting us with fish, she prepares amazing desserts! I returned after a few years. I used to go with my then-partner, who had work in the area, and now I wanted to bring friends. The result: we're all a little whiter, including Antonio, but the quality and friendliness have remained the same!! Oh, I forgot... super fair prices!!

26/04/2026: Terrible experience. Terrible food. Owner was "born tired." Zero desire to do anything. Mussels were old, perhaps already spoiled, because we felt sick when we got home. The menu was already sparse, and almost everything was missing. We paid too much for what we ate, and everything was strictly under the table!!!
