09/12/2025: We chose L'Essenza in Vista for the Immaculate Conception Lunch, and the experience was truly excellent. The chef's special menu was meticulously crafted and full of authentic flavors.
The land and sea appetizers were a great start: a selection of Martina Franca capocollo, blueberry burrata, and truly delicious mushroom meatballs, along with gratinated salmon cubes and cuttlefish in a creamy chickpea sauce. The portions were just right, and great attention was paid to the quality of the ingredients.
The seafood cavatelli were also delicious, creamy and fragrant, as was the sea bass turban with saffron velouté, exquisitely delicate. The side dish, a baked potato, was also excellent, perfectly complementing the dish.
To finish, a beautifully made puff pastry with cream and berries and a selection of fresh fruit. The service was courteous and punctual, and the atmosphere was elegant yet relaxed.
A perfect celebration: good food, carefully prepared dishes, and great professionalism.
Highly recommended for events and celebrations!

13/11/2025: A small, secluded beach with beautiful, clean sea. A very intimate place. I'm not sure if it gets crowded during the season. Parking nearby is quite difficult. The bay is great for swimming.

11/04/2026: The couple's lunch was fine, but not exceptional.
Lunch consisted of peeled mussels as an appetizer, a tube of mussels in sauce, and a bigolo with clams.
In detail:
- Well-kept restaurant, excellent hospitality, and excellent menu presentation.
- Fast and precise service.
- Bland peppered mussels, mussels clearly not from Taranto, most likely Adriatic or Greek.
- Tube of mussels excellent and well-balanced.
- Bigolo with clams good but salty.
Conclusion:
It's a real shame that a place overlooking the sea and the old town, and the winner of a show that certainly gives it good publicity, misses out on the star ingredient of Taranto cuisine. Such an iconic element for Taranto cannot be replaced by anything, let alone in its own city.

08/04/2026: I went to this restaurant for the first time for a business lunch. We ate wonderfully, everything was excellent, and I made a great impression. I don't eat fish, and I was prepared to eat pasta without sauce, but they also had excellent meat options, and I ate wonderfully too. I'll definitely be back.

04/04/2026: I frequent this restaurant fairly regularly throughout the year. For this very reason, what happened this evening deserves to be reported in detail.
With a reservation for two, we were assigned a table that was objectively unsuitable, nestled between others so as not to allow any privacy, in an already noisy room, despite the availability of alternatives.
Our request to move was met with an unjustified refusal. In an attempt to simply facilitate a conversation, I rearranged the seating without interfering with service: this solution, too, was immediately denied.
Responding to a further request, formulated politely, the owner's response was, verbatim: "Go away and never come back."
This is not an incident related to the quality of the cuisine, but a structural problem in the management of hospitality: rigidity, a lack of listening, and a complete lack of sensitivity to the customer experience.
In an industry like this, where hospitality is an integral part of the service, such an attitude is difficult to justify.

20/04/2025: Bel posto immerso nella natura con ampi spazi all'aperto per i bambini. Si nota subito che i prodotti usati sono freschissimi (quello che vedete nei piatti viene direttamente dagli alberi e piante che vivono li, anche l'olio) e preparati con cura dallo chef. Consiglio vivamente, soprattutto a chi ama stare all'aperto!

The freselle are spectacular, but the strong point is the community, the hospitality, and the sharing. In a world that now stinks, here you can breathe the scent of life. Excellent food, and the menu changes daily based on availability. Angela and Franco are special people, like this city.
