24/08/2025: I won't go into the merits of the questionable quality of the dishes or portions. My specific contribution concerns the service: We entered at 8:30 PM sharp and were alone in the restaurant. Our order was taken at 8:45 PM (we were always alone). A house appetizer for 7 people, a small first course (the same) for 12 people, one main course for a child, and 8 fried fish dishes. We left at 11:45 PM. The fried fish dishes were served at 11:20 PM after 11 first courses were served instead of the 12 ordered. During this exhausting wait, I noticed numerous customers arriving at the tables, being served tarallini and olives. I asked the waiter if he could bring these tarallini and olives, given the extremely long wait. The waiter (the most experienced) replied, "It's something reserved for regular customers." I politely replied that it wouldn't be fair to discriminate against tables like this, especially since the same tables that were receiving olives and taralli, even though they arrived MUCH later, were also receiving their orders while we were waiting, sometimes over an hour and a half, for a single dish. The server (the most experienced one) continued to insist that it was his right to bring taralli and olives to whoever he wanted. I pointed out that if 90 percent of the tables had gotten them and some of the tables that arrived much later were already leaving, something was wrong. Nothing: the experienced server continued to repeat that he brings taralli and olives to whoever wants them and that we weren't among them. And when I specifically requested, always polite but firm, that he not continue with the same message repeated three times, he just kept going. Some might say I should have gotten up from the table and left, but I didn't because it would have created a ruckus, out of respect for the other patrons present, who were largely unaware of what had happened. I'll stop here; nothing personal, but this kind of discriminatory—and I emphasize discriminatory—attitude (compounded by inexplicable delays in service, unexplained except by a simple "we'll make up for it," uttered twice but never delivered) is unacceptable in good manners and perhaps beyond the bounds of legality. I will evaluate and take action through the appropriate authorities, where possible.

21/08/2025: We were slightly disappointed with our experience at this restaurant. The appetizers didn't meet our expectations, but the main courses were reasonably good. The service was courteous, if a bit slow. The bill, while reasonable, didn't seem commensurate with the overall quality of the experience. Unfortunately, we don't plan on returning.

19/08/2025: We've dined at this restaurant overlooking the port of Taranto several times. A pleasant atmosphere where you can enjoy refined and delicious seafood dishes. Friendly and helpful staff. The restaurant manager, Angelo, is a delightful, very kind person, very attentive to his guests. A must-visit for delicious seafood.

18/08/2025: On Sunday, August 17, 2025, I went to dinner with my wife at the "Il Porto" restaurant in Taranto (old city). The welcome at the entrance was courteous, kind, and very professional. We ate as if we were in heaven: the fish appetizers tasted divine and were beautifully presented, the champagne risotto with scampi and shrimp had a sublime flavor that truly enhanced the dish, and the fried seafood was magnificent. I was overwhelmed by flavors that exhilarated my palate like I hadn't experienced in a long time, and a thoughtful location that I hadn't seen in a long time. A restaurant I recommend to everyone; the service was fast, competent, professional, and extremely attentive to the customer's needs. In just a few hours, I fell in love with the place, the cuisine, and the service. I congratulate and thank the restaurant, the owner, the kitchen, and the staff for a wonderful evening and for allowing me to enjoy excellent cuisine. 06/07/2025: A good seafood restaurant with well-prepared fresh products. Service and ambience are attentive. I was also convinced by the cuisine that knows how to enhance the raw material and respect tradition while looking forward. All this in one of the most characteristic places in Taranto.

03/05/2025: Very delicious food. Good and crunchy Pinsa, very stuffed. Very friendly and helpful staff. I always come back very willingly and will continue to do so.

31/07/2025: Three adults, a very light appetizer to share, a first course for three (yes, just one), water, and off we go. Total bill: €91. No, we didn't go to the wrong restaurant, nor did they serve us caviar and white truffle. The receipt? An abstract poem: no details on the dishes, no clear voice. Just a final total worthy of a four-course seafood dinner each... in downtown Milan, perhaps. The quality? Honest... but only if we were at a passing service station, not a restaurant that demands gourmet prices. We've traveled halfway around the world, eaten everywhere, and we're always happy to spend money on good food. But being taken for a fool, no thanks. A word of advice for the managers: a little more transparency and a little less imagination in calculating the bill wouldn't hurt. For now, let's leave the "Peschereccio" at port... and we certainly won't return.

10/07/2025: It wasn't a positive experience, but much more. Goodness, quality, hospitality, cleanliness, taste, and unforgettable flavors. Will we come back? Yess ...

Valentina welcomed us with a big smile and made us feel immediately at ease... amazing pool, high quality dinner, kind and friendly staff... clean room and a delicious breakfast ♥️ we will definitely be back ♥️

20/07/2025: Per me tornare a Casa Mita è sempre speciale. Accoglienza calorosa da parte dello staff, cibo super squisito, gli antipasti sono qualcosa di meraviglioso, per non parlare dei primi. Questa volta ci siamo concessi anche un dessert che ovviamente ha superato le aspettative. L’atmosfera e la pace di questo posto non hanno rivali.

02/06/2025: Giando is one of those restaurants that stays in your heart. A refined atmosphere, attentive service and dishes that surprise for taste and presentation. Each course tells of passion and attention to detail. Perfect for a special evening, but so welcoming that you would want to return every week. Highly recommended!

16/08/2025: A terrible experience... we ate pizzas with a strangely sweet dough... therefore, no salt. I ordered a pizza and received a completely different one, which I sent back. The tragedy, however, came with the bill, where they charged, or at least attempted to charge, us for the pizza they had made the mistake... which we promptly had deducted... 12 euros for nothing. (And they knew this very well when we requested it.) Finally, as if that weren't enough... two one-year-olds in this restaurant were charged a 3-euro cover charge (for what, for the use of the space?) When we pointed this out at the cashier, the husband and wife team verbally attacked us! A truly terrible experience.

02/06/2025: Per il nostro anniversario di matrimonio abbiamo deciso di rimanere nella nostra bella Taranto dove è possibile mangiare bene tutto ma ancor di più pesce e in questo ristorante lo preparano bene e con attenzione. Servizio ottimo attenzione al cliente hanno reso la nostra permanenza eccellente. Consigliatissimo ci tornerò senz'altro.

20/04/2025: Bel posto immerso nella natura con ampi spazi all'aperto per i bambini. Si nota subito che i prodotti usati sono freschissimi (quello che vedete nei piatti viene direttamente dagli alberi e piante che vivono li, anche l'olio) e preparati con cura dallo chef. Consiglio vivamente, soprattutto a chi ama stare all'aperto!
