10/12/2025: I had lunch with my family on the Feast of the Immaculate Conception. It was a pleasant discovery: excellent food, impeccable service, and a very small and intimate location worth revisiting. Recommended.

17/01/2026: We are restaurateurs and foodies, and it's hard for us to find a place that satisfies our palates. Seeing a post on Facebook immediately convinced me. We ate really well and deliciously, the dishes were tasty, flavorful, and carefully prepared. The service was excellent, the chef was highly trained, and the atmosphere was friendly. 01/10/2025: One of the best restaurants in the province of Lecce. I've known it for many years, and every time I go, it's always a surprise. It's one of the few that satisfies me in every way. Excellent food, excellent service, and a stunning location.

23/09/2025: I really don't like leaving negative reviews. In fact I never do (truly I'm not just saying this) because I know the effect they can have an a business. However I think people should get a glimpse of the restaurant before coming here to spend a ton of money for subpar quality food. How can you be a in a region with an absolute surplus of olive oil and have food this bland at exorbiant prices. I don't think there was a grain of salt on any dish. It's also criminal to call an appetizer red prawns then get 4 pieces of the tail of a prawn that is barely bigger than a finger nail. I would have also rather been spared the "mixed greens" under my octopus as it was just that. Mixed green with nothing on them and majority of the leaves were rotten. Also a lobster pasta dish in which it requires you to crack your own lobster with your hands? Trying to make food into something "artistic" is the downfall of dining. Put something on the late that is worth eating and priced fairly. 45 minutes between starters and mains is a no for me as well. Rest assured this is an honest review....sadly

04/01/2026: This review is about the restaurant. The atmosphere is quiet and relaxing, though in my opinion the tables are too close together, with good background music that doesn't disturb conversation at the table. It was a dinner for two, but unfortunately the expectations weren't reflected in the flavors of the dishes. Cuttlefish julienne was drowned in a flavorless broth, and the crispy potatoes described on the menu were soggy. The other appetizer was off the menu, and I don't remember the name, nor the flavor. The cod steak was excellent, perfectly cooked, and paired perfectly with the creamed cannellini beans; you could taste the various flavors in your mouth. The purple gnocco wasn't made with purple potatoes, but rather purple potatoes and carrots, according to the waiter. The Gallipoli purple shrimp didn't make a great impression on the dish at all; they were just ordinary white shrimp, and the purple shrimp, even cooked, had an unmistakable flavor. The prices, however, were very fair for the setting. I'll conclude by saying that cuisine is always subjective. P.S. The panettone offered by the house is very good.

28/12/2025: I ate at this restaurant a week ago. The place is very beautiful, intimate, and well-kept. The staff is welcoming and professional. The menu has a nice variety and is appetizing. My overall rating is a seven, because what we ordered wasn't as extraordinary as we expected. We ordered a first and second course of meat, preceded by an appetizer. Their strong point is probably seafood, and there was indeed a large selection of very interesting catch of the day, but we weren't in the mood to try it. We'll be back for a second review of the seafood.

03/11/2025: La Pergola Restaurant was a real surprise during our stroll through Santa Maria al Bagno. It's centrally located, right on the village square, overlooking the sea. The highlight is undoubtedly the cuisine, which proved to be excellent. You can taste the freshness and quality of the fish, the true star of the menu. Very beautiful place located on the sea, warm and welcoming location perhaps a little spartan, but delicious and abundant dishes, extensive menu, excellent presentation of the dishes and quality, competent and courteous staff, very fast service. I highly recommend!
