27/04/2026: I visited this place for lunch and had a very positive experience. ​The welcome was excellent: the staff is fun and friendly, putting guests at ease from the moment they arrive. A significant added bonus is the availability of a children's menu, a detail that makes the place perfect for families. My review is based on the appetizers, pizzas, and desserts (I should point out that I didn't try the first courses, so I can't judge the pasta). Personally, I started with a pasta frittata, very flavorful and carefully presented. The potato croquettes were also truly excellent, made to perfection. ​All the pizzas at the table looked inviting and tasted excellent. ​I chose a fried pizza and was impressed: it was very tasty and, above all, not at all greasy. One of the best fried foods I've ever tasted. ​To finish, I tried the pastiera. I was pleased to note that the orange flavor was intense and well-presented, just as tradition dictates (and that's by no means a given). I was unfortunately unlucky with the "caprese," which I've always eaten cold; it was piping hot and even a little burnt, but it's still highly recommended.

16/03/2026: A very nice restaurant with a lovely, cheerful and friendly atmosphere. We ordered the menu, which included a selection of tapas, a delicious paella with lots of shellfish and mollusks, and a dessert (I had the crema catalana). We had a wonderful time. 01/05/2026: Royal is the classic pizza restaurant that seems increasingly lacking in Italy lately: a simple place, but where you know you're going to eat a fantastic pizza. And that's exactly what it was for me: the pizza was truly good, the dough incredibly light—I've never slept so well after eating pizza for dinner—and the toppings weren't bad either. The only negative: I love fish pizza, so I ordered the one with shrimp. Everything was perfect, except that the shrimp were completely tasteless and ruined the overall experience a bit. Nothing too serious, but next time I'll definitely try something else. The Ascoli olives were also good. Super fair price, friendly and fast service.

22/02/2026: A highly refined, light, and easily digestible pizza. A rare find where you can pair your favorite pizza with a local sparkling wine from the Oltrepò area. We've been traveling 30 kilometers to eat their pizza for years.

07/01/2026: Pizza with a frozen base (I saw the pizza chef take a pizza from a pile of pre-made, pre-prepared, frozen bases). No comment. I don't understand how they made such a decision. I've been a customer for years and years, but I don't think I'll be returning. Not recommended.
