28/12/2024: An amazing place to enjoy! After a nice road trip we chose la breva for our meal. I really have to comment the atmosphere, it was as if we were in an old times dinning room. The music was just right and every little detail gives you the vibe of the finest thing! The first course puf pastry with mushrooms didn't came up our expectations but the mains were exquisit! We really enjoyed our meal! Thank you!

24/11/2024: È sempre un piacere pranzare a La Breva di Lierna. Atmosfera elegante, ma al tempo stesso accogliente e rilassante. Ottimo cibo, servizio eccellente. Se siete da quelle parti non perdete l'occasione, soprattutto per il pesce di lago.

22/12/2024: We went here for lunch when we visited Varenna. We expected decent food from the 4.7 rating, but it was even beyond our expectation. We had smoked goose breast and mussel soup for our appetizer, T-bone steak and sea bass fillet as the main courses. Everything was absolutely amazing!

28/12/2024: Excellent dinner, small but well-kept restaurant. The selection of local foods and wines is excellent. The two guys in the room are super competent and very knowledgeable, it's a pleasure to listen to the explanation of the dishes and the oenological description of the wines. I recommend booking as indicated I'll be back!

22/12/2024: Excellent interpretation of the local cuisine, adding a touch of sophistication to traditional recipes (mainly based on fresh lake fish). The service was wonderful and our hosts spoke impeccable English. We enjoyed the romantic view by the lake while feeling cuddled by the delightful food and the warmest service. As a local who has now been living abroad for about 8 years, I highly recommend this place to any tourist who’s curious to explore authentic recipes from our territory and indulge in the dream-like view of The Lake. ♥️ Grazie!

27/12/2024: Trattoria/restaurant/pizzeria where on weekdays for lunch there is a business menu at €13 with first/second/side dish/drink/coffee and cover charge or pizza menu €8/9 (prices December 2024) or à la carte menu. Very spacious lounge, with huge tables. Clean bathrooms with changing table. Very kind waiters. Excellent dishes, we will be back.

07/10/2024: I had dinner with a friend, a quick pizza. It's not the first time I've been there, the pizza is very good, perhaps the best in the square. It's not the first time I've been there. the ambience is the only note that's a little out of tune even though I like it it's in 80's style but I'm in love with it

22/12/2024: Pre-Christmas dinner, in a very renowned restaurant in the always beautiful Lecco, not wanting to overdo it, I opted for a second course aiming for grilled fish. Total disappointment, 5 types of fish on the plate. 1 small scallop.. 1 medium prawn 1 small scampi 1/2 Sea Bream fillet And a small piece of Pangasius, no swordfish, salmon, mussels or anything else that you usually find on the plate of a grilled fish, all placed on a bed of very abundant but unwelcome salad, because in my opinion it is not fresh. All for the modest sum of €22. Once the dish was finished I told my fellow diners that I wanted to order a pizza, you make your own decisions. Nothing to say regarding the service and the place, very professional. Another sore point, when paying the bill I pointed out the scarcity of the dish to the boy at the cash register, with no response of displeasure about it, but a great pinch by the nose, smilingly wishing me a Merry Christmas almost singing... 😳 As for the other dinner companions, Scialatielli were excellent, like the Branzino, the third one had the grill like mine, another disappointment. If I go back I'll try the pizza, maybe I'll leave full.

16/12/2024: Ho scelto questo ristorante per le 4 stelle attribuite, sarò stato sfortunato ma è stata una delusione. A parte la gentilezza del personale non ho trovato niente di positivo, pizza salatissima e risotto scotto.

24/12/2024: A friend had recommended this food spot to me so of course, I was very keen to give it a go. When we had arrived the restaurant was still closed so my friend and I sat and waited on one of the outdoor tables. Minutes before they were due to open, a waiter entering the restaurant passed by and snapped, 'these tables are clean', as if we had dirtied them in any way - which we hadn't. We were quite taken aback as he could've used a much better approach. Still we waited and when they were ready for us to enter, I had stood just outside the entrance waiting to go in when the same short, round pathetic man with brown floppy hair impatiently asked me to move out of the way by saying 'excuse me' three times in an abrupt manner. At this point we were really put off and as we were deciding on whether to stay or not we continued to observe this strange behavior as he served other people. We witnessed him roll his eyes at a couple because they merely changed their mind about being seated outside. As we walked away in disgust, he then had the audacity to come and stand in the doorway with a female colleague, staring and smirking at us. Massive shame and appalling behavior - he's only lucky we weren't bothered to create a fuss whilst on holiday. All turned out well in the end as we ate in a lovely restaurant, Ristorante Borgovino, which is a stones throw away and had the best lasagna ever served by some much friendlier people that own THE cutest dog! :)

08/11/2024: Prima volta in questo ristorante, selezionato per le recensioni positive. E’ stata una piacevole sorpresa, sia il locale molto famigliare, sia il cibo. Abbiamo preso una tartelletta ai funghi e un risotto al pesce persico e un ottico prosecco Franciacorta. Un po’ alto il conto ma ne vale la pena.

22/12/2024: A good restaurant where you can eat just about anything: from first courses, to second courses, to pizzas, to desserts. The fried gnocco is very good (absolutely to be enjoyed with the lard that melts on top). Excellent first courses and the pizzas weren't bad either (perhaps the tomato pulp was a little sour). The desserts, however, disappointed us a bit, in particular the tiramisu.
