30/07/2025: Dream location and top-notch cuisine! Impeccable service, ask Antonio for advice; he's very professional! We had two portions of roast fish, a fried fish dish, and pasta with lobster. Everything was sublime! We'll definitely be back to try the catch of the day.

24/07/2025: A pleasant evening and experience in a charming setting to sample the delights of a fine restaurant on Capri! The decor, the lighting, the pool, and the magnificent view create a truly romantic atmosphere. Following Antonio's wise advice, I was right to choose the local specialty of fresh fish served with pasta in tomato sauce, which is highly recommended!

06/08/2025: Hands down our FAVOURITE restaurant in Capri. Not in the huge crowds but an insanely beautiful view. The staff provided us with the best service in town and the most delicious food that made us go back twice in our 3 night stint. Couldn’t recommend enough.

05/08/2025: Panorama restaurant came highly recommended but instead highly disappointed. The views are spectacular but that was it. Unfortunately it disappointed in every other level. From the moment we sat down we had this overpowering smell of burnt cigars that they use to keep the wasps away. Honestly terrible but that was a small detail we could maybe forgive if food and service were fabulous … Worse was service. We waited 75 minutes between starters and main, and after the long wait food wasn’t even impressive… the truffle pasta had tiny shreds not thinly sliced truffles like we had in the best restaurants, lacking flavor. Basic ingredients were not there, you need great tasting olive oil to make succulent Italian dishes, their olive oil had zero flavor, shockingly. Nothing was memorable. When I complained to the server about the terribly long wait we received a lame 2 second apology and if we wanted a Limoncello shot.. look i don’t drink, and that doesn’t make up for the lousy experience at all, all I wanted was a great meal like we had to pay for. We had such better experiences at Luce or Da Tonino. i wish I had skipped this one. Local captains or hotels recommend what’s popular but not necessarily what’s best. Do your research on the reviews that’s how we found Luce or Di Tonino which are a stratosphere above this one in every way.

05/08/2025: What an absolute delight! The whole experience was absolute perfection. Tucked away in a quaint spot, just a few minutes up the hill from the Piazetta lays a wonderful culinary experience with incredible assortment of home made breads, the tastiest olive oil you can have and the best assortment of dishes one can dream. We had a perfect balance of flavor combinations. The selection of amuse bouche was worthy of a Michelin star restaurant, so delicious it will raise the bar of what you want to eat next. Yum!! Our server was Eric and he was the most attentive, genuine and caring server we had in decades, what a delight. We highly recommend it as the best culinary experience in Capri. The only thing I missed was having a black truffle option on the menu, but their options were excellent.

01/08/2025: Hands down, the best restaurant on Capri. Nothing like the usual tourist restaurants. Attentive and impeccable service, a stunning wine list with perfectly fair and balanced prices. The tagliolini with shrimp and gin and tonic left me speechless; highly recommended.

31/07/2025: Took my inlaws to dinner here. Spent around €90 for a small steak that had bone fragment hidden in almost broke my tooth. When pointed out to the waiter he didn't give any care. Started was €12 for 3 slices of cheese. €4 Euro per slice of cheese....not a great start. Steak had no sides and was the smallest I've seen and bland very bland. I've cooked better steaks in the middle of woods with a camp fire and a hatchet. Came with zero sides left the average working man still starving. Wine was great, beer was average at best. Advice: Order pasta it's average but portioned well enough you'll be satisfied if you have it with a appetizer and drink.

29/07/2025: we were looking for a place off the beaten track, and boy, did we luck out! the stunning setting, delicious food, and super friendly service - all to our full satisfaction! the moment we sat down we knew we needed a bottle of rosé and fortunately they had one of our favorite on the menu - villa dora rosato - devine! the food highlights were the fresh marinated anchovies with perfect acidity augmented by the peppery evo - the skin on the grilled sea bass had an incredible crunch, and the fish was seasoned very well accompanied by broccoli, olives and capers. the delizia al limone and limoncello were a fitting finale to an unforgettable meal. brava and thank you, veronica and your great team!

19/07/2025: Più che di una cena occorre parlare di una esperienza.. ogni portata è stata una scoperta, accompagnata egregiamente da un ottimo vino consigliato dall’ottimo Biagio. Cibo eccellente, servizio impeccabile e personale che ha saputo fare davvero la differenza. Non si può passare da Capri e non provarlo.

26/07/2025: The food was good and the setting pleasant, though nothing particularly special. Service was average. What really disappointed me was the way our reservation was handled. Despite booking well in advance, the owner tried to seat us “indoors”. Only after we firmly insisted were we given a table outside. I Overall, the atmosphere was unremarkable, and while the food was good, the experience didn’t live up to expectations.

And then there is Villa Verde, which drapes itself in reputation like an ill-fitting costume, hoping the sparkle of Capri will mask what lies beneath. Despite securing our reservation through the concierge of a five-star property — a gesture that should carry weight and ensure a degree of care — we were led past the glamour and seated in what can only be described as exile: a corner of the restaurant. My partner faced a trio of wilted flowerpots, while I enjoyed a front-row seat to the mess and clatter of the waiters’ service station. The atmosphere was less la dolce vita and more backstage at a wedding buffet. Service was a rumor. No real welcome, no presence, no rhythm. We poured our own wine, twice, while staff swirled around us as if on autopilot, too understaffed or indifferent to notice. The food? A theatrical exercise in plating — average in taste, but priced as though it had Michelin stars whispering in its ear. And then — the music. What is it with the music? One moment it's pulsing like a beach club at midnight, the next it's hushed to a whisper. The volume swelled and dropped like a DJ unsure of which party he's playing for. If this was an intentional effect, words fail. Villa Verde is not a restaurant. It is a reputation machine, feeding on the illusions of Capri rather than delivering its essence. Overrated, overstretched, and ultimately forgettable — except for the price. Capri deserves far better. So do its guests.

From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm, attentive service that never once felt forced or overbearing. Every dish was crafted with precision, passion, and elegance, showcasing the freshness of the ingredients and the mastery of the kitchen. The plating was stunning, the flavors were perfectly balanced, and the wine pairings elevated each course even further. Throughout the meal, the staff remained incredibly thoughtful and present, ensuring that everything was just right without interrupting the flow of the evening. It was the perfect combination of flavor, ambiance, and hospitality. I would return here in a heartbeat and recommend it wholeheartedly to anyone looking for a truly special dining experience.

17/08/2025: The place is certainly exceptional...the service is impeccable, but don't go there if you want to (finally!) save money on the Almafi Coast! The prices are clearly outrageous!!! In addition to the €10 charged for the "cover" (for 2), we had a melon and ham salad (poor quality vacuum-packed ham!) for €25 (see the photo of the thin, unopened dish) and a tomato and mozzarella salad, which also had no taste! The bottle of mineral water is €6. In short, very overpriced, as everywhere on the coast!

18/08/2025: Unfortunately, compared to similar restaurants, we weren't satisfied. The place is very large and offers a good variety of entertainment, but I can't say the same for the food and prices. The meat was brought out dry and charred. Service like that is unacceptable. The staff are very attentive, but unfortunately, their attentiveness doesn't make up for the poor food with the high bill.

17/08/2025: The food was absolutely amazing. It was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. Unfortunately, the service did not match the quality of the food. Our table was rarely checked on by the waiter, and it took over an hour just to receive the check. Additionally, when the waiter “invited” us to visit the dessert bar, he did not mention that it came with a €30 charge per person, which felt misleading once the bill arrived. While I would recommend the restaurant for its food, I hope management improves the service and communication with guests, as it significantly impacted the overall dining experience.
