Very good freshly caught fish and calamari. Well prepared without any fuss! The seafood salad starter was a poem and we forgot to take a photo of this super delicious dish. We will be back! A treasure on Capri. Selected large wine list also with good open white wine. Thanks!

My wife and I are from Barcelona and stayed in Capri over Easter. We had the pleasure of eating at Gianfranco's Al Grottino restaurant, and it was a wonderful experience. Even though we arrived around 4pm, when the restaurant was already closed, and Gianfranco was just having his lunch, he offered us a seat in his restaurant and prepared us an exceptionally delicious seafood pasta.
The Al Grottino restaurant is a true jewel in Capri, not only for its delicious cuisine, but also for the warm and welcoming character of the host. We recommend anyone visiting the island not to miss out on this fantastic dining experience.

We had the best food and most comfortable, cozy atmosphere! We were able to make a last minute reservation during our honeymoon. The owner talked with us for a long time, showed us some pictures of the restaurant’s history and famous guests. He was so kind and hospitable..he went over the ingredients and even pulled the lobster out to show us before cooking it! It was some of the best food we had in Capri (Lobster Pasta and Ravioli). We felt so welcomed and at home during our date! Would absolutely recommend coming here!

We were drawn to this place because of the photo of Adam Sandler proudly displayed outside. We thought that if this place was good enough for him, it would be good enough for us. We were right! The owner was a lovely gentleman who warmly welcomed us, offered a delicious wine suggestion, and asked about our travels. The food was delicious - we ate a caprese salad and pasta that was clearly handmade and prepared perfectly. We were also delighted by the tiramisu, which wrapped up our evening. We would absolutely return - and bring friends and family - if we come back to Capri.

Come da titolo. Sito nel dedalo di viuzze vicino alla famigerata piazzetta.
Locale abbastanza intimo ( sala non troppo ampia ) con arredi classici. Buona accoglienza, servizio cordiale.
Menù abbastanza vario della cucina e della tradizione locale.
Piatti validi con presentazione nella media.
Prezzi ? Da Capri … ovvero 50/60 euro oltre il bere.
Una buona esperienza senza particolari guizzi al palato , un locale che comunque consiglio come alternativa a molti altri che sono solo fuffa per turisti.
