Unfortunately we had a heavier meal earlier, so we ordered a lighter dinner here. This restaurant sits up on the side of the hill almost like a treehouse, in a very serene setting. There are outdoor covered seating areas that look very elegant but also casual in the nighttime. Our food was excellent and the service was top notch. I look forward to coming back here someday.

Macelleria Hamburgheria da Gigione

04/04/2024: If you want to eat a high quality sandwich there is no doubt that Gigione is number 1. Exceptional quality of ingredients, starting from the bread, to the side dishes and finishing with the meat which is exceptional (I highly recommend the deluxe rare Chianino sandwich). Starters are normal, nothing special and the ribs aren't bad either but I've tried better.
24/02/2024: Premetto col dire che frequento il locale da 2 anni e devo dire che non ha mai abbasato la qualità, anzi è migliorato volta per volta. Credo che faccia il panino più buono che io abbia mai mangiato, utilizza solo materie prime di qualità e ovviamente, essendo una macelleria, le carni che compongono le varie pietanze (antipasti, hamburger, bacon...) sono di propria produzione. Personale gentilissimo con cui ho stretto amicizia e anche molto paziente dopo aver assistito a certe scene da parte della clientela.

24/03/2024: It is the perfect place to enjoy genuine cuisine. Portici is my favorite place. Every time the menu changes and the Chef's inventiveness surprises. Don't miss the first courses. I also really appreciate the house wine. I'll post some photos to give you an idea. Excellent quality-price relation. I like to underline the courtesy of the owners and the availability of the service.
01/03/2024: I live in Turin but the Locanda is a point of reference every time I am in Portici!
