29/10/2025: I don't often write restaurant reviews, but we had the best meal of our holiday here – almost fine dining, and at very reasonable prices. The historic building is truly a gem among Scilla's already beautiful architecture, and dining on the airy terrace overlooking the sea is particularly lovely. But what really made the evening special was the incredibly warm and welcoming sommelier, who guided us through the evening with charm and humor and clearly knows his stuff – even if you only order a single wine by the glass! Thank you for a wonderful last evening in Calabria. We'll be back!
24/10/2025: On our walk through the beautiful Chianalea neighborhood, we discovered this restaurant. It can be a bit annoying to climb a long staircase to reach the wonderful terrace overlooking the sea, but the effort is worth it because the views from there are magnificent. The entire restaurant is tastefully decorated. This carefully curated setting helped us achieve a very high level of gastronomic pleasure. We found the swordfish steaks to be very well seasoned and full of flavor. The tomato and burrata salad was a perfect accompaniment. The tomatoes tasted real, which is hard to find. Pizzo's truffle was perfectly cooked: we thought it was delicious. We paired the meal with a very smooth Greco Calabrian white wine. Both the maitre d' and the rest of the staff were impeccable in their work.

Terrible breakfast: raw croissant and undrinkable cappuccino.
The environment is poorly maintained and dirty in some areas.
Staff are sparse.

A spectacular location where you can sip a decent wine in good company.

13/06/2025: Accolti gentilmente e serviti su un romantico tavolo vista mare. Deliziosi gli antipasti caldi e il sauté di cozze. Anche vino e primi davvero eccellenti. Abbiamo concluso con il semifreddo zabaione, cioccolato e amaretti… da leccarsi i baffi. Anche il ristorante interno risulta molto curato ed elegante. Complimenti per la gestione. Consigliatissimo

02/11/2025: I had lunch at this restaurant on its last day of seasonal opening.
The view and location are spectacular. You literally eat your meal right at the sea: truly unique.
We had an appetizer (6px; part of the dish pictured) and then seared fresh tuna fillets with Tropea onions and balsamic vinegar (pictured), off-menu.
The bill was above average. The location and the rest were fine, but €27/person for the tuna was a bit too much considering it averages €50/kg, and when we ate it, it certainly wasn't 500g of tuna.
Overall, good, but needs revisiting.

19/09/2025: We went to dinner at this restaurant on the recommendation of friends. The location is beautiful, with an enchanting view of Scilla.
We ordered exquisite fried fish and excellent mussels with pepper as an appetizer. The first courses were exceptional: DELICIOUS linguine with sea urchins, and delicious paccheri stuffed with ricotta and swordfish. We continued with stuffed swordfish rolls and a swordfish steak of the highest quality.
Excellent service, with unparalleled friendliness and kindness from the waiters.
Prices were reasonable.
Highly recommended! We'll be back!

02/12/2025: Reading the reviews of this restaurant, we wouldn't have gone in... But we were hungry and had an hour before our train. Ultimately, we were very happy with the food. Our portions were huge, freshly prepared, fragrant, and filled with high-quality seafood and fish!

03/05/2025: Tuvimos una estancia fantástica en Palazzo Krataiis en la hermosa ciudad de Scilla, una joya costera encantadora que aún no ha sido invadida por el turismo. La playa es preciosa, y hay un montón de pequeños restaurantes para explorar.
Nuestra habitación ( 103 ) tenía una vista impresionante al mar, era espaciosa, y tenía una sensación muy auténtica. La ubicación del hotel es perfecta, justo en el centro y a pasos de la playa. El desayuno era delicioso, y también disfrutamos de una gran cena en el restaurante del hotel con excelente comida y un servicio amable.
Muy recomendable para cualquiera que busque una estancia relajada y pintoresca en Calabria!
30/04/2025: Heerlijke gerechten, prima wijnen, uitstekende service. Aanrader: de pasta ‘lobster’. Comfortabele setting. Eén minpuntje: de muziek staat zoals bijna overal in Italië te hard aan.

Panoramic Chianalea di Scilla

12/06/2025: Siamo stati una settimana a Chianalea e abbiamo cenato quasi tutte le sere in questo ristorante perchè ci siamo trovati benissimo, cameriere simpatiche, gestore gentile e cibo superlativo, dalla pizza al pesce cucinato benissimo. Da aggiungere anche la vista mozzafiato, cortesia e disponibilità da parte di tutti.

30/08/2024: Arancini DA URLO!!!! Mai mangiati con una qualità simile !!! Gestori e personale di una gentilezza difficile da trovare.... se vi capita di passare da Favazzina DOVETE ASSOLUTAMENTE ANDARE!!
08/07/2024: Preso per asporto ( il locale è piccolino e all'esterno si è sulla stradina principale) mozzarella in carrozza, arancini, parmigiana, crocchette e trancio di pizza. Assolutamente non unti, ben presentati, ottima la parmigiana e la mozzarella in carrozza. Buoni arancini, pizza e crocchette. Non ho osato prendere la parmigiana con pesce spada, anche se consigliatissima dagli amici presenti.

07/08/2024: Ottimo dall’inizio alla fine,locale accogliente,per non parlare della professionalità del personale dal bagnino ai parcheggiatori ai camerieri e anche chi sta dietro al bancone.Il cibo è veramente ricco e tipico del posto la mia esperienza è più che positiva e spero di ritornarci il più presto possibile
23/07/2024: Un posto incantevole,che offre un'esperienza indimenticabile. La location è incantevole, con una vista mozzafiato sul mare e un'atmosfera rilassante. Il personale è estremamente cortese garantendo un servizio impeccabile. La cucina è eccellente, con piatti di pesce freschissimi che soddisfa i palati più esigenti.Il mare è ammirevole con un tramonto sconvolgente.Consigliato per chi cerca relax,una ottima giornata in mare, e una ottima cucina in un ambiente suggestivo
