05/07/2025: This restaurant is just amazing, set in a naturally cool cave, the environment is authentic and rustic. It’s a typically family-run restaurant yet with very high-level cooking skills by chef Francesco. Loved every dish, and you see the chef cooking in front of you in an open kitchen :) The service is attentive and people are genuinely nice. 😊

04/07/2025: Authentic cuisine, attention to technique and raw materials. Excellent service and helpful, attentive staff. I ate a perfect tamale and perhaps it is one of the most complex preparations, it requires attention, precision and no rush. Absolutely recommended!

25/06/2025: We discovered this place by chance and, intrigued by the photos and reviews, we booked a table. Beautiful place. The lights, the furniture, the drawings on the walls, really create a beautiful atmosphere. The only flaw, but maybe we weren't very lucky with the evening, despite the air conditioning it was a bit hot, and I would recommend some placemats to put on the wooden table, where you can put the cutlery without necessarily having to use paper napkins. We chose the all you can eat formula which I found to be really successful... they are small samples of the dishes that you can order à la carte, but, as the name itself says, you can order as much as you want... it's 28 euros per person excluding drinks, which is perhaps a little high, but considering the quality, you don't really care that much. The quality, as I said, is very high. The dishes are all well balanced and delicious and even the sangria, which we shared, deserves a special mention. A plus is the attention to vegetarians, with the possibility for many dishes to be transformed from omnivores to veg. The owner is very kind, friendly and very attentive to the customer. There is parking, even if perhaps a little small, but the owner helped us find a place right in front of the restaurant, so I would say that for this you do not have to worry too much. I gave 4 stars to the service only because when pouring a Tequila the girl who served us accidentally spilled it on the table and forgot to come back to clean, but it is a small comma on an evening, for me, truly perfect. Keep it up!

14/07/2025: I'm from America, and this is in Italy. Cool atmosphere with the deco, burgers were okay. Good for Italy. Staff could be more attentive with servicing table. Everyone's glasses were empty over the meal with no refills offered. Got my own.

28/05/2025: I was pleasantly surprised by this place: very kind staff, pleasant atmosphere and really good food. In addition, they have the possibility of making gluten-free tacos (in addition to meat and nachos) which, personally, was really new and the reason why, as a celiac, I came here! Thanks! Ps. During the week there are not many people, maybe on the weekend it is better to book because the space is not very big.

21/06/2025: We ate here during our stay in Bergamo for a medical visit. Nice and welcoming place inside with the possibility of eating on the patio outside. The staff was really kind and the food was excellent. There is a large parking lot in front of the place. The manager was really kind and professional. We will definitely be back. Highly recommended!!

25/06/2025: I returned to Gatto Gordo after about a year that I have not been there and I found the usual beautiful Mexican style environment with the staff really very kind attentive to the needs of us customers. Food proposals really varied for all needs even for vegetarians like me and the price as said very good
