24/09/2025: Dinner for two for my 40th birthday. The atmosphere was immediately relaxed and pleasant. Our waitress Giulia looked after us throughout the dinner. She was very energetic and precise in explaining the all-you-can-eat menu. Thanks to her invaluable advice, we were able to sample many dishes at the right time. Perhaps we overdid it a bit, because everything was so good. A special mention goes to the Vaca Loca, a tequila-marinated steak. The cocktails and sangria were excellent. The owner was friendly and helpful (he serves tables and manages the entire restaurant). A pleasant discovery that I recommend to everyone. We'll be back with immense pleasure. Thank you for making my birthday such a magical evening.

18/09/2025: Excellent service. My partner and I stumbled upon this Mexican restaurant on Via Trento this evening. We were greeted by the owner, who was incredibly kind, and the menu had a wide variety of choices. I highly recommend it. The food was excellent, including a delicious Maracuja margarita, the homemade mango tequila round was excellent, and to finish, a lovely glass of delicious sangria. We'll be back for the all-you-can-eat option. 🤗🌮🌯

17/09/2025: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️☆ El Burrito in Cagliari is okay. The burrito tasted okay, nothing special, but it was well made. A nice change of pace when you want something different from pizza or pasta.

16/09/2025: Went with my gf for dinner tonight. Had 2 dos equis', a quesadilla, chimichanga and an empanada. Felt like it I was back in Mexico. Everything from the decorations on the wall to the cutlery we ate with felt authentic as. There were other latino patrons as I could hear Spanish, so when the people of the cuisine are eating here, you know it is a good sign. Staff is Mexican family who are very kind. We will be back before we leave our holiday.

27/05/2025: In my opinion, the food is very good, so I gladly go back when I can. The menu is fixed but there is a seasonal part that changes every so often. The atmosphere is nice and the staff too.

13/10/2025: This place was spectacular. Was looking for vegan food in the area and found this, thought I'd try it as the reviews were so good. It didn't disappoint. Very busy but tge friendly guy on the front desk said he could fit me in. The service was quick and the food was out of this world. Finding vegan food that is good can be difficult but I think this is the best I have tried so far. I love eating and not causing any harm or suffering. Grazie ristorante mexicali. Highly recommend.

11/10/2025: The food is really good (even though they've reduced the portions compared to a few years ago). The tables could be cleaned a little better, but the service is always attentive. It's not a cheap restaurant... but recommended.

04/10/2025: My first time trying Mexican cuisine, I had a lovely evening with my family. I ordered a one-pot meal, which I found quite tasty. The stew was excellent. The place wasn't noisy, and the lady serving was very friendly. I recommend it!

12/10/2025: They make you wait without any empathy to offer you a tiny table, and the food is 2 out of 5. High prices for what they offer. The restaurant is in a strategic location next to the main street, but I recommend looking for another one if you can because you won't remember it when you leave, except that you paid ten euros more per diner than eating at any other restaurant there.

24/08/2025: We arrived today to visit this small village recommended by a friend, and we noticed this trattoria in an alley. Intrigued by the slightly vintage sign, we asked if we could eat there, and the girl who welcomed us was simply extraordinary. A true Sicilian, we ordered the menu of the day, a delicious, spicy chicken with salad and potatoes, and I also ordered grilled vegetables. What can I say? Compliments to these guys (from the chef and everyone involved), a family-run establishment. Giving it five stars is an understatement. Highly recommended.

16/08/2025: Nestled among ancient alleys with seemingly haphazardly arranged yet truly picturesque tables, this delicatessen offers a few excellent dishes (meat and seasonal vegetables) whose simplicity and pure flavor are truly rare these days. A warm welcome and extremely polite service. Congratulations!!

07/09/2025: I was immediately greeted by a very kind person at the entrance. She made an effort to speak to me in another language without any comments or questions—though I admit I was a little annoying by changing the items I'd ordered 😂 While I was waiting for my takeout, they brought me a glass of water and a smile. I left with my bag thinking, "I haven't tried the food yet, but I'll be back just for the service." To my delight, when I got home, the food was delicious. Comforting and full of flavor. They've definitely won over a customer. Thank you for making my day a little better, even without knowing it ☺️

06/09/2025: Been to 15 different Italian cities in 6 weeks here. This is the best American old fashioned I have had, and they call it a Mexican old fashioned. If you happen to be in Milan and are looking for an old fashioned, this is your stop!

26/09/2025: I had dinner last night with my colleagues at this restaurant. The location is really cute, perfectly Mexican-style, both in terms of the colors and the decorations on the walls. The restaurant is in a great location in Rome! The space was a bit small, but the service was excellent; everyone was very kind and attentive to our needs, but above all, the food was fast, too. We ate several dishes. The only flaw was that nothing was particularly spicy (which I expected for a Mexican restaurant)! Recommended dishes: traditional nachos and burritos. The margarita, which is served in a pitcher and then poured into glasses rimmed with salt, is also interesting! The prices are a bit high in my opinion, but in line with other Mexican restaurants.

21/09/2025: The staff was super friendly, but unfortunately, it wasn't enough to justify the absolutely illogical bill. As I've noticed at other restaurants owned by the same owner (Tiburon), the quality/price ratio is terribly unbalanced. I'm sorry to say this, but I would no longer recommend this restaurant.

13/09/2025: It was our first night in Bologna, we were tired, and we wanted a quick bite to eat. My husband is Mexican and loves to see what people around the globe do with his cuisine. We saw Sombrero and headed straight there! It was quiet when we arrived, which truly was unfortunate because everything about this place - the people, the atmosphere, and especially the food - was wonderful. We started with the red jalapeños and chili nachos and both were just incredible. And the guacamole, oh my god. It was so fresh but I should definitely expect that in Bologna. My son ordered the grilled chicken burger and fries and it looked wonderful. My son was very happy with it and very full. My husband and I both got variations of a rice dish (I can’t remember the name, sorry) and it was delicious. The owner, who was very welcoming and kind, even made sure I got enough vegetables with my food. We also got tacos which were TO. DIE. FOR. So incredibly delightful. I was so full I could hardly walk when we left. What a lovely meal. I feel like Mexican food has been ruined for me though because now, I know the very best Mexican food is right here at Sombrero in Bologna, Italy! Thank you for the incredible food! We hope to see you next time!
