Non posso dare il massimo perché sono stata estremamente infastidita dalla supponenza del proprietario..peccato.

08/02/2024: Sono per la prima volta stato ospite di questo ristorante, accogliente e con ormonale molto gentile. I piatti molto curati sono di qualità e di caratteristiche del territorio. Merita tornarci.

01/01/2025: Very welcoming place and excellent service, unfortunately we were unlucky and some fish (probably squid) contained in the risotto and seafood salad was probably spoiled, completely ruining the experience. A mistake can happen but you have to be careful with fish.

08/12/2024: Giornata piovosa e molto fredda, prima volta a Chioggia e purtroppo tempo sfortunato, ma appena arrivati all’Osteria Penzo il calore dell’accoglienza e il sorriso di Mario ci hanno subito scaldati e coccolati! Amore e passione per il proprio lavoro, l’ empatia, la dolcezza e l’ottimo cibo sono gli ingredienti perfetti per un piacevolissimo pranzo o cena! Gentilezza e simpatia da tutto lo staff. Inoltre aspetto importantissimo per chi è celiaco come me trovate tantissime opzioni, che bello!!!!! 😍

15/11/2024: Tipica osteria chioggiotta, piccola e raccolta. Il menù prevede tutti i piatti della tradizione lagunare, dalle canoccie alle moeche, dalle cappelunghe ad altri prodotti di grande qualità. Il locale é semplice come l'apparecchiatura, un semplice pulito e ordinato che piace. In sala grande presenza dei proprietari che sanno guidare il cliente con gusti molto precisi e difficili, come sono io. Ho apprezzato molto che mi han fatto provare un vino della zona per capire se mi piacesse e, quando non ha incontrato il mio gusto, mi han fatto degustare quello di cui poi abbiamo preso la bottiglia. Conto vino incluso 50€ a testa, davvero rapporto qualità prezzo eccezionale. Servizio impeccabile, qualità del cibo altissima. Se volete un locale 100% km0 la visita é d'obbligo. A fine servizio la cuoca é passata per i tavoli e i complimenti sinceri sono stati molti, anche da tutti gli altri tavoli della sala. Non avevo dubbi

11/01/2025: A rather unusual culinary experience. On the surface, everything seems fine—decent food with no major flaws—but when the bill arrives, you can’t help but feel like you expected more for the price, leaving you disappointed. Risotto can only be ordered in a double portion, which drives up the price of what is essentially a simple dish of rice and additions to that of a good steak (44 EUR). The fish is fresh and locally caught, but it’s prepared in the simplest way—just heat treatment. Some might enjoy the pure taste of fish, but I can achieve the same flavor by buying fish at the market and throwing it on the grill myself. I don’t need a restaurant for that. Alongside the fish comes radicchio, tossed on the plate without any finesse, and crispy, tasty polenta. The restaurant offers a good wine selection, but the staff lacks knowledge about the grape varieties and origins. Once again, I find myself comparing quality to price. And so, disappointment prevails... As per response to owner: The owner's response is exceptionally arrogant and warrants a comment. It's clear that the kitchen is designed for the convenience of the chefs, not the customers. I tried to be fair in my review, but some people let their success go to their heads. I've traveled across Italy extensively and have never encountered a requirement to order risotto for two people. Moreover, a simple walk around Chioggia is enough to see that this claim is untrue. Even in Bologna, I never paid €22 for risotto. Simple, rustic flavors can certainly be appreciated, but such flavors should come at an honest price, not at gourmet rates. This is a case of style over substance and ego over reason. It’s better to go to Osteria Penzo, just opposite —a family-run, friendly place with a wonderful owner who treats tourists just as well as locals. And the food is more honest too.

02/11/2024: Sin! All it would take is a little good will and common sense to offer a better service and view without too much expense! We arrive around 11.00 for breakfast...dirty and poorly maintained place...leftover croissants on the floor, ruined scotch on the displays, broken lock in the bathroom. It doesn't take long to replace the tape, or to quickly switch to a broom, or even to buy a new latch at the hardware store for a few euros. You just have to want to do it! And the polishing of the cutlery in the dining room, with the penetrating smell of vinegar, definitely not! Do it behind the lines instead. I say it's a shame because it was all good... as I wrote, very little would be enough!

02/11/2024: Fantastic brioches. Non-existent service at the tables with great confusion at the counter. Despite the kindness of the staff, the place is very poorly managed. The background radio is completely useless and absolutely annoying. Turn off.

07/01/2025: This restaurant was a disappointment through and through. We were there with a small child and arrived only 10minutes before they opened. Nevertheless, they did not let us in and we had to wait outside. Once we were asked to enter he was very unfriendly when showing us to a table. The host/waiter kept on being very unfriendly throughout the stay. He kept rapidly taking away plates while people were still eating, forgot part of the order and never asked how it was or if we wanted anything more. Additionally, the food was worse than mediocre. The grilled vegetables were cold and the fritto musto soggy. Very disappointing overall.

03/01/2025: 60 euros 💶 for two pizzas... Neapolitan and radicchio, two beers 🍻 and two desserts!!!!!... at Cavallino... all-horse lunch... first and second starter with various side dishes plus correct coffees and two bitters... 55.00 euros 💶!!!! obviously for two ✌️?!!!

10/10/2024: I ate the pizza, I felt like I was a child again when I went to the grocery store to get 20 lire of chocolate to make a sandwich, the shopkeeper gave me the chocolate on tissue paper and so the pizza was so thin it was disgusting and while I was eating it I felt I was asking, DO YOU WANT TO UNDERSTAND THAT THE BASE OF PIZZA IS PASTA? What's the point of making a pizza that covers the plate if the pizza looks like tissue paper and what's more very expensive 😡😡😡😡

21/09/2024: Purtroppo non ho letto prima le recensioni..ma condivido pienamente tutto quello che di negativo è stato scritto. Arrosto misto precotto e riscaldato...ma che ci vuole a fare una grigliata espressa ??? Prezzi esagerati per il cibo rifilato agli ignari clienti..se è vero che al peggio non c' è mai fine ..qui abbiamo toccato il fondo.
