10/02/2025: Excellent restaurant located in the town center. Very appetizing fish dinner, of excellent quality with a decent quantity for each course, given the very low price. Very kind and helpful service for any change requests. Recommended for a good fish dinner!

15/01/2025: Pleasant restaurant in the city centre, easily accessible by bicycle and/or on foot. As an appetizer we took a truly delicious mix of fish, perhaps not very abundant but excellent, all in all a good appetizer. As a first course I had the pappardelle alla busara, they were also excellent, perfect portion, nothing to say. For dessert I had the tiramisu made by them, a bomb, delicious and highly recommended. The two of us spent 60 euros, the right amount for what we ate. All in all an excellent restaurant for pleasant lunches

Non posso dare il massimo perché sono stata estremamente infastidita dalla supponenza del proprietario..peccato.

08/02/2024: Sono per la prima volta stato ospite di questo ristorante, accogliente e con ormonale molto gentile. I piatti molto curati sono di qualità e di caratteristiche del territorio. Merita tornarci.

11/01/2025: A rather unusual culinary experience. On the surface, everything seems fine—decent food with no major flaws—but when the bill arrives, you can’t help but feel like you expected more for the price, leaving you disappointed. Risotto can only be ordered in a double portion, which drives up the price of what is essentially a simple dish of rice and additions to that of a good steak (44 EUR). The fish is fresh and locally caught, but it’s prepared in the simplest way—just heat treatment. Some might enjoy the pure taste of fish, but I can achieve the same flavor by buying fish at the market and throwing it on the grill myself. I don’t need a restaurant for that. Alongside the fish comes radicchio, tossed on the plate without any finesse, and crispy, tasty polenta. The restaurant offers a good wine selection, but the staff lacks knowledge about the grape varieties and origins. Once again, I find myself comparing quality to price. And so, disappointment prevails... As per response to owner: The owner's response is exceptionally arrogant and warrants a comment. It's clear that the kitchen is designed for the convenience of the chefs, not the customers. I tried to be fair in my review, but some people let their success go to their heads. I've traveled across Italy extensively and have never encountered a requirement to order risotto for two people. Moreover, a simple walk around Chioggia is enough to see that this claim is untrue. Even in Bologna, I never paid €22 for risotto. Simple, rustic flavors can certainly be appreciated, but such flavors should come at an honest price, not at gourmet rates. This is a case of style over substance and ego over reason. It’s better to go to Osteria Penzo, just opposite —a family-run, friendly place with a wonderful owner who treats tourists just as well as locals. And the food is more honest too.

08/12/2024: Giornata piovosa e molto fredda, prima volta a Chioggia e purtroppo tempo sfortunato, ma appena arrivati all’Osteria Penzo il calore dell’accoglienza e il sorriso di Mario ci hanno subito scaldati e coccolati! Amore e passione per il proprio lavoro, l’ empatia, la dolcezza e l’ottimo cibo sono gli ingredienti perfetti per un piacevolissimo pranzo o cena! Gentilezza e simpatia da tutto lo staff. Inoltre aspetto importantissimo per chi è celiaco come me trovate tantissime opzioni, che bello!!!!! 😍

15/11/2024: Tipica osteria chioggiotta, piccola e raccolta. Il menù prevede tutti i piatti della tradizione lagunare, dalle canoccie alle moeche, dalle cappelunghe ad altri prodotti di grande qualità. Il locale é semplice come l'apparecchiatura, un semplice pulito e ordinato che piace. In sala grande presenza dei proprietari che sanno guidare il cliente con gusti molto precisi e difficili, come sono io. Ho apprezzato molto che mi han fatto provare un vino della zona per capire se mi piacesse e, quando non ha incontrato il mio gusto, mi han fatto degustare quello di cui poi abbiamo preso la bottiglia. Conto vino incluso 50€ a testa, davvero rapporto qualità prezzo eccezionale. Servizio impeccabile, qualità del cibo altissima. Se volete un locale 100% km0 la visita é d'obbligo. A fine servizio la cuoca é passata per i tavoli e i complimenti sinceri sono stati molti, anche da tutti gli altri tavoli della sala. Non avevo dubbi

02/02/2025: A place that bears an important name for the city must renew itself and must want to be the best!! ugly, broken chairs and scratched tables, very slow service for a couple of coffees for more than half an hour and then they got them wrong 🤣. The waiters are not to blame, in fact they were trying to defend their faces as best they could, certainly stressed by the customers, who were leaving 😤 without consuming given the progress, which was unpleasant to see. I don't know cooking, but the treatment I received today is enough for me

09/02/2025: Very long waiting times... Pizzas 1 and a half hours of waiting, 2 hours for the restaurant....the fish still needed a few minutes of cooking, I understand the place is full but the service definitely needs to be reviewed

06/02/2025: I had lunch on Sunday in this restaurant, sitting at 12.40, at 2.30 I still hadn't eaten spaghetti with clams, and I left without eating it... I will never go back here again and based on my experience I don't recommend it.
