19/10/2025: Highly recommended, especially the appetizer for two (a bit pricey, but equally worth it)!!! The tagliolini with spider crab are also delicious, and the cartellatta for dessert is highly recommended. Delicate and unique!!!

16/09/2025: We came here for dinner with colleagues, a real discovery of local cuisine. There's no menu, but Nicola is there to present all the daily specials featuring local fish, with their respective prices. He's very friendly and very characteristic. The fish is incredibly fresh; on his recommendation, we ate everything from appetizer to main course, without a doubt one of the best in the area. Excellent steamed boiled meats, very good gnocchi, divine fried freshly caught calamari... We'll definitely be back, bringing more colleagues for the great value. 11/10/2025: We visited this restaurant and had a truly wonderful meal: incredibly fresh fish, carefully prepared dishes, and authentic flavors. But what will definitely make us return isn't just the food (already excellent), but the incredibly friendly and kind staff. They make you feel right at home, always with a smile and a joke. A perfect blend of quality and hospitality that is rarely found these days. Highly recommended! 🐟🍷
26/09/2025: We had starters, main dish, pasta and desserts, everything was very tasty and well presented.
The short black hair woman gave us advices and was checking out our table all the time.
Nice quiet location, indoor and outdoor tables.
Recommending it!

22/10/2025: Definitely one of the best restaurants in Sottomarina. The food was excellent, and the service was truly excellent (I assume from the owner), so it deserves 5 stars. I gave 4 stars to the atmosphere (even though it's very clean and charming) only because I like eating outside (especially in the summer), and unfortunately there's no outdoor seating. That's more than fair considering the quality of the food and wines. Congratulations!

14/10/2025: Don’t eat here. It’s not good quality, rushed service and the seafood is disgusting. The sea is so close yet they use frozen seafood?! And the shrimp in the fritto misto was not deveined and I’m not about eating poop with my meal! Find somewhere else!
11/10/2025: A Sunday in September, a beautiful day for a stroll around Chioggia and lunch at Antico Toro. There were large groups at lunchtime and it was a bit crowded, so not the best day for a quiet lunch. There were four of us. The portions were good and tasty, the only downside: the dishes weren't very generous and a bit sparse. The staff was extremely kind and friendly, despite the large crowd. We'd definitely try it again on a quieter day. We'll be back.

26/04/2025: Locale curato (pare, perché si mangia in penombra !) piatti curati ma se avete fame, non è il posto per voi. La cortesia delle cameriere innegabile ma non altrettanto quella del proprietario che ha un atteggiamento quasi infastidito e spocchioso . Un sorriso costa poco e almeno quando pago QUEL conto, potrebbe rallegrarsi .
Non ci tornerei .
22/04/2025: Ottimo ristorante di pesce nel centro di Chioggia. Il menu offre un’ampia scelta di piatti di pesce locale freschissimo. La cucina sa esaltare l’ottima materia prima. Buonissimi il gran bollito di Chioggia, il crudo di mare, la grigliata, come pure i dolci (consigliata la degustazione della piccola pasticceria). Il locale è elegante, i tavoli sono ben distanziati e il servizio è curato, professionale e gentile.

05/10/2025: This place deserves more visitors, even in the off-season. We're alone today because it rained and they weren't actually open. Still, they welcomed us, and we certainly had a great meal here.

20/06/2025: Oggi abbiamo visitato Chioggia e ci siamo trovati all’Osteria Penzo. Non avevamo prenotato ma i gestori sono riusciti a trovarci un posticino. Abbiamo mangiato i cicchetti come antipasto, gnocchetti buonissimi con vongole, radicchio e cipolla ed un’ottimo fritto.Buono il rapporto qualità prezzo, gestori molto cortesi.
19/06/2025: Ich hatte eine schöne Zeit in Chioggia und der Abend in dieser feinen Osteria bei Mario war das i- Tüpfelchen. Das Essen hervorragend! Der Service freundlich! Und obwohl man reservieren muss, bekommt man das Gefühl der einzige und beste Gast zu sein! Hier bekommt man gute Laune und verlässt das Lokal mit einem Lächeln. Vielen Dank, Mario!

29/08/2025: Right in the middle of the main square, opposite the basilica, we had some delicious sweets. It's Dolce Vita for life.
There's a wide selection, from macarons to tiramisu.
The service was very friendly and attentive for the short time we were there. The price was also very reasonable.

24/09/2025: Yesterday, 25 of us went for my son's birthday, with a reservation of course. The food was good. It's a shame they didn't have two bottles of Prosecco at dessert and wanted to give us a bottle we'd had at lunch, rudely telling me they'd run out because there were people at midday. What kind of response would that be? It's not my problem if you're not organized. When it came to the bill, I asked several times, and even got the receipt wrong. Once I had all the money, I was told she'd made a mistake, forgotten about the service charges, about €60 was missing, and that it was my fault for rushing her... At that time, we were the only ones there! The lady who served us was great, and I understand she was confused since she was alone, but unfortunately, I strongly advise against it!
11/09/2025: Great restaurant. The pizza and the kids' dishes were very good. Only the mushrooms are canned. They could have been fresher. Unfortunately, we ate too quickly and forgot to take a photo. So, here's a cross-section of the calzone.
There is currently a service charge of €2.50 per guest.
There are good pasta and pizza alternatives for gluten-free guests.

04/09/2025: I've dined at this restaurant/pizzeria several times and have always had a great experience 👍. The pizzas are good 🍕 (they also offer takeout), but especially the fish dishes (I usually prefer the mixed grill 🐟🐙🦐). The staff is helpful and courteous. The quality/price ratio is definitely good too. They also accept meal vouchers 🎫, making this place an excellent option for those who have them. RECOMMENDED 👍.
