Attention to detail, surprising, carefully prepared, and excellent quality food, a wide selection of wines, Cristina and the waiting staff, attentive to every need... 06/06/2026: The first time we ate at this restaurant, we had our three dogs with us, and they were warmly welcomed, even with a welcome kit (biscuits). The food is truly excellent, from the raw mix to the pasta dishes and the delicious traditional dessert. We've been back before because the quality/price ratio is excellent and the food is truly delicious.
30/05/2026: We were told this place was the perfect place to eat good seafood in Sottomarina. We went there specifically for it, and I can confirm that we had a wonderful meal. We followed the advice of Arianna, an energetic and fun waitress, who gave us excellent advice. Then a colleague of hers, whose name I unfortunately don't know, took us inside to tour the trattoria's rooms. Wonderful! Venetian-style, it doesn't feel like a trattoria at all. I thank the staff for their hospitality and the exquisite dinner. We'll be back!

18/05/2026: We went yesterday on a recommendation, and I have to say we had a wonderful time. The location is spectacular, we ate right next to the canal, and the staff was really helpful and attentive (I think it was the owner who looked after us). The food was really good, and the service was quick, even though the place was busy. We were really happy, and I definitely recommend it.
12/05/2026: Excellent experience, very good and fresh fish, friendly and courteous staff. The Manzoni wine was also excellent. An experience worth repeating.

01/06/2026: There are plenty of places in Chioggia where you can eat good fish, but if you want something more than a simple trattoria and don't want fancy, Instagrammable fashionistas, you have to come here. It's an elegant but not overly formal restaurant, steeped in history but aged well. Who knows if restaurants like this will still exist in 20 years. While they exist, let's enjoy them.
26/05/2026: The atmosphere is quiet, with just a few tables and a private spot. The staff is friendly and the food is excellent. The raw fish is amazing and 100% worth the price.

01/06/2026: “I was truly satisfied at Ristorante Alberto Capo: finally, proper spaghetti with clams! Not the usual dish with little spaghetti and lots of shells, but a generous, flavorful, and truly satisfying portion.
The fried fish, risottos, and sardines were also excellent: everything was delicious and well-prepared. The staff was highly professional, attentive, and kind, with the added bonus of a pleasant table overlooking the sea.
I'm happy to give it 5 stars and will definitely be back.”

11/06/2026: After booking, six of us arrived at 8:00 PM. They gave us a table right away and served us promptly. We ate a delicious mixed fried fish dish with grilled vegetables and beer. Reasonable prices and excellent service.

• Service: This was the most critical point. I waited a very long time just to order a bottle of water. When I finally managed to get the employee's attention, the response was rude. It's unacceptable to see an employee walk past you 10 times empty-handed and ignore your request, demonstrating a lack of care for their professional presentation.
• Quality/Price Ratio: Very low. I had lunch at a considerably cheaper place on the same day and received much better service.
Unfortunately, I do not recommend it and do not intend to return.

07/06/2026: Impeccable Italian food with a wide selection, good service, the fantastic ambiance between the canal and Corso del Popolo was only marred by a construction site. We had a pleasant evening and recommend the restaurant.
06/06/2026: I ate the absolute worst beef fillet there. Not recommended. Tourist trap!!!

29/08/2025: Right in the middle of the main square, opposite the basilica, we had some delicious sweets. It's Dolce Vita for life.
There's a wide selection, from macarons to tiramisu.
The service was very friendly and attentive for the short time we were there. The price was also very reasonable.

08/04/2026: Very good pizza. We were a bit skeptical about the freshness of the fish; we weren't entirely convinced it was all fresh. Overall, everything was good. The prices were fair, and we paid a fair price compared to other places we've been to recently. The staff were very friendly, and the place was fairly clean. Perhaps a little dark for our taste, but that's fine for the type of place.
The lanterns were gorgeous.

04/09/2025: I've dined at this restaurant/pizzeria several times and have always had a great experience 👍. The pizzas are good 🍕 (they also offer takeout), but especially the fish dishes (I usually prefer the mixed grill 🐟🐙🦐). The staff is helpful and courteous. The quality/price ratio is definitely good too. They also accept meal vouchers 🎫, making this place an excellent option for those who have them. RECOMMENDED 👍.

26/04/2025: Locale curato (pare, perché si mangia in penombra !) piatti curati ma se avete fame, non è il posto per voi. La cortesia delle cameriere innegabile ma non altrettanto quella del proprietario che ha un atteggiamento quasi infastidito e spocchioso . Un sorriso costa poco e almeno quando pago QUEL conto, potrebbe rallegrarsi .
Non ci tornerei .
22/04/2025: Ottimo ristorante di pesce nel centro di Chioggia. Il menu offre un’ampia scelta di piatti di pesce locale freschissimo. La cucina sa esaltare l’ottima materia prima. Buonissimi il gran bollito di Chioggia, il crudo di mare, la grigliata, come pure i dolci (consigliata la degustazione della piccola pasticceria). Il locale è elegante, i tavoli sono ben distanziati e il servizio è curato, professionale e gentile.

20/06/2025: Oggi abbiamo visitato Chioggia e ci siamo trovati all’Osteria Penzo. Non avevamo prenotato ma i gestori sono riusciti a trovarci un posticino. Abbiamo mangiato i cicchetti come antipasto, gnocchetti buonissimi con vongole, radicchio e cipolla ed un’ottimo fritto.Buono il rapporto qualità prezzo, gestori molto cortesi.
19/06/2025: Ich hatte eine schöne Zeit in Chioggia und der Abend in dieser feinen Osteria bei Mario war das i- Tüpfelchen. Das Essen hervorragend! Der Service freundlich! Und obwohl man reservieren muss, bekommt man das Gefühl der einzige und beste Gast zu sein! Hier bekommt man gute Laune und verlässt das Lokal mit einem Lächeln. Vielen Dank, Mario!
