15/10/2025: There aren’t words to express how amazing this meal was. Far and away the best of my life! My husband and I came in after arriving late into town and checking into our hotel. We saw the lights at Fabiani and thought it looked lovely. We had no idea the joy awaiting us. Our server, Mary, was fantastic. Very professional and helpful. We ordered a multi-course chef’s choice (one with tartufo nero and one without) and let me just say—this chef is incredible. Every single bite was beautifully crafted and balanced, each one somehow better than the last. We felt like we were splurging to celebrate our 8th wedding anniversary, but only spent about €100 total for a bottle of wine, sparkling water, and two six-course meals plus coffees, with generous portions and high-quality ingredients. We closed the restaurant and literally gave the chef a standing ovation when he came out. We hope to return again soon. Grazie mille to the whole staff!

19/10/2025: Everything about this dinner was perfect. Great local spot with traditional Italian food. The lamb and Guinia foil were excellent. Do try the namesake Picchilo Verde appetizer plate (safe among two people) homemade ravioli was amazing. Pistachio cake was chefs kiss to end the meal. Very affordable. Was super busy, but the service was still outstanding. We did have this dish, but sat next to the open fire where steaks are cooked. Smelled so delicious

17/10/2025: We were completely satisfied with the dinner! The service was prompt and very courteous; the restaurant is located on the ground floor of a historic building, and the rooms have very impressive high ceilings. We enjoyed every course, from the appetizer (the green woodpecker) to the desserts, including the first courses, especially the tagliatelle with truffle. In addition to the dishes, we ordered two bottles of water and half a liter of wine, for a total of €30, a bill we found very reasonable. We recommend ☺️

13/10/2025: A lovely family-run inn, with very good food, simple and traditional, but expertly prepared. Good value. The owners are very kind and friendly. The place is very small, so reservations are recommended.

12/10/2025: Excellent dinner. Fettuccine with truffle and porcini mushrooms was truly excellent. Traditional flavors that are hard to find.

26/09/2025: A good restaurant-pizzeria in the center of Gubbio, with spacious interiors and an internal garden. In addition to pizza, the menu offers traditional dishes from Gubbio. Good and fast service.

26/09/2025: A family-friendly and informal atmosphere. The food is excellent; when we're in Gubbio, we always eat at La Balestra. We've known it our whole lives, and it always maintains high standards. Highly recommended, even for vegetarians.

Locale davvero molto piacevole e accogliente dove puoi goderti tranquillamente la tua serata. Abbiamo assaggiato diversi piatti tra cui la tartare, il tortino di carciofi, puré di fave,passatelli in brodo e dolci.... Tutto MERAVIGLIOSO! COMPLIMENTI Francesca! Personale molto gentile. 19/10/2025: A miserable meal, a €3 cover charge per person, not even tablecloths, ridiculous portions: a platter for supposedly two people consisting of 4—and I repeat, 4—slices of ham, loin, and dubious-colored mortadella, 2 crostini with half a tablespoon of lentils, and 3 strips of pecorino cheese (cost €25!!!). Truffle pasta, which was actually butter with truffle shavings, was therefore bland and unseasoned. Chicken consisting of 2 wings and 2 legs: the breast was missing. In short, a 78-euro beating for leaving hungry. Disgraceful.

08/10/2025: Personally, I don't understand the negative reviews: I had a truffle pizza: Excellent. I can't remember a better one. My neighbors were also very happy with their pizzas. We got a seat right away in October. The service was extremely friendly and accommodating. The prices were very reasonable. Besides, the restaurant's lovely ambiance. I don't know if it's different in high season, but I can't imagine it being different in every respect.
