21/08/2025: A small, welcoming place with a family atmosphere, extremely friendly staff, and refined yet delicious cuisine. My husband and I are both vegan, and we were truly pampered with a personalized menu, something not everyone gets. It's no coincidence that we decided to return two days later! Greetings and a huge thank you, both to the wonderful and friendly lady who served us on Monday, and to the highly professional chef who served us last night with his original "tasters." 06/08/2025: The interior of the restaurant is very charming. Not many tables, cozy atmosphere. It mainly offers local products, the dishes were divine (we are vegetarians) with very fine truffle appetizers (no taste of truffle oil), simple but quality products and super well prepared (incredible truffle egg). Broccoli dish with parmesan and cocoa sauce is excellent as well as the pasta with aglione (large garlic). Very friendly owner and staff! In our top 3 restaurants in Perugia and the surrounding area, the most original in terms of the types of dishes on offer.

15/08/2025: A romantic place with a moderate price. The meat is excellent, as it's grilled and remains tender. The appetizers are generous. The chickpea cream soup with chicory is excellent, as is the spaghetti with tomato sauce and burrata. Not to be missed.

15/08/2025: Not to be missed, excellent hospitality and service, average prices for Spoleto, and absolutely delicious dishes. Special mention for the wild boar, an explosion of flavor that's addictive, so much so that I wanted seconds. We'll definitely be returning to Treviso in the coming years to try this cuisine again, which truly amazed us. 🤤🤤🤤

07/08/2025: We had a really good time, a family of four. Every course was a delight, both visually and in taste. The table service was pleasant and friendly. We recommend it.

03/08/2025: My husband, my daughter, and I went for dinner this evening. The place is very nice and welcoming. Unfortunately, the service was a bit slow, but the main problem was when I ordered panzanella (a typical Umbrian dish that I know very well, since my husband is originally from Orvieto) and was brought a small bowl of cherry tomatoes with a few breadcrumbs and two basil leaves. When it came time to pay, I mentioned this to the lady, and that I would therefore have liked to pay for a cherry tomato salad and not for the dish I had ordered. But to no avail, as upon leaving the restaurant, I looked at the bill and saw, to my dismay, that guest satisfaction isn't the restaurant's priority. I certainly wouldn't go to waste for two or three euros, but a small discount would have been appreciated. It's a shame because my husband and daughter said the first courses weren't bad, but when I return to Orvieto, I definitely won't choose Il Capitano del Popolo again.

They even gave us the option of taking our second course with us since our daughter was very tired. It was the perfect end to our vacation. Thank you.

21/07/2025: My first and most enjoyable experience at Osteria del Carro was a sliced steak seasoned with flavored salt, an appetizer of light fried dishes, and an excellent red wine recommended by the host, a blend of two grape varieties. The lemon semifreddo was refreshing after such flavorful dishes. Overall, I found courtesy, authenticity, and excellent value. I'll definitely be back!

27/08/2025: We spent a day in Orvieto, and the trattoria was recommended to us by the B&B Torre Polidori. After lunch, we immediately booked for dinner. Highly recommended for both the good food and the service.

25/08/2025: A quaint wooden structure nestled in the countryside, discovered for the first time last night. As soon as you step inside, you can feel the warmth and friendliness. We tried the pizzas, which aren't traditional in both their leavening process and presentation, but they were delicious, and the toppings were excellent. The beers, mostly craft, are also excellent. Definitely worth a try!

10/08/2025: We dined at the tables along the alleyway of the restaurant, a truly lovely place. We arrived very late, but even though the kitchen was about to close, they warmly welcomed us in. The food was simple, home-made, and very good. We had a plate of grandma's meatballs, some typical local sausages, a plate of potatoes, and a plate of really good vegetables. We drank two glasses of red wine and a bottle of sparkling water and paid €54. Recommended place for a simple but tasty dinner.
