04/11/2025: Amazing ambience, great service and food make us come back every year for the last 3 years. The staff is very kind and flexible with vegan options, which is not common in the area. Best dessert I’ve ever tried and great wine selection. Make sure to make a reservation. Parking available right outside or along the alley to the right of the restaurant.
31/10/2025: Great food, friendly staff. The place is a bit pricey but doable. Even our 7 yo son enjoyed his gnocchi. However, absence of any non-sparkling soft drinks (except for water) was a surprise for such a high class facility.

18/09/2025: Nothing to complain about the place, the staff were welcoming, and the Chianina strips were also very good.
I decided to order a 1.3 kg cut of Florentine steak. I was asked how it was cooked, which was inconceivable to me, and it was brought to me looking more boiled than properly cooked. Attached is the photo.
I'm sorry about the rest, which I consider to be good. If I ever come back here, I'll definitely avoid the Florentine steak.

08/09/2025: Lovely restaurant right outside of the main area of Montepulciano. The owner and his wife provide a warm and welcoming atmosphere with delicious food. As vegetarians we tried La Ribollita soup and the Cappellacci, both of which were delightful. Recommend this spot if you’re in the area looking for some good food.

It's a small, owner-operated place.
We ordered a pizza, a sandwich, and a salad.
The pizza and sandwich were some of the best I had in Italy.
The owners are very friendly and kind.
It's a place I would definitely recommend.

We ate, on the recommendation, a selection of fantastic local cured meats and cheeses.
Recommended.
18/06/2025: A great alternative to the tourist hustle and bustle of the city center. A small bar and delicatessen offering small specialties. The lady is very friendly and first asks very specifically about your wine preferences. Then you'll be served the perfect wine at a reasonable price. A snack is also included.

25/08/2025: We discovered this restaurant by chance a few years ago, and since then, whenever we can in Tuscany, we try to make the most of the opportunity to stop by. Excellent food, with attention to detail and top-quality ingredients. Mrs. Francoise is always friendly and prepares unmissable desserts.
05/05/2025: Siamo stati in questo ristorante per cena. Abbiamo mangiato molto bene: si poteva apprezzare la qualità dei prodotti e la cura nel prepararli; le porzioni giuste e calibrate.
Consigliati i pici! Purtroppo non possiamo dare cinque stelle a causa della freddezza (o maleducazione) con cui siamo stati accolti e che ha contraddistinto il servizio di tutta la serata.
Se il cibo ci avrebbe spinto a ritornare e consigliare, il servizio non ce lo farà fare.

19/06/2025: Seems like a local pub hangout which I like. Good food and service. Not too many beers if thats what you are looking for but many other drink options. Low prices. Indoor and outdoor seating. Dog friendly!

26/09/2025: A nice midway location for a stop after a long drive or if you're traveling long distances.
Affordable prices, excellent service, but fairly poor food, with food being cold, undercooked, and/or ordered incorrectly. Unfortunately, I'm sorry to say that the food at this restaurant disappointed me, as I had higher expectations for the price paid, considering that €20 per person is a good price for a full menu.
Otherwise, the location is very accessible and easy to find, with very little noise and plenty of seating.
The quality of the food, however, has a significant impact on the restaurant's rating, and I have to give this critical assessment.

06/03/2025: It may be odd to post about a closed restaurant however this one is special. Our family came to Tuscany several times, last being 2010 and we have fond memories of “ La Signora” at cittino restaurant. For us, it was the most authentic food in Tuscany. Our children were little but even they remember the wonderful meals we enjoyed. Not it’s 2025 and my wife and I flew 5000 miles in hopes of enjoying one last meal at this special place. We hope the owner had a good life and knows how happy she made people. Grazie Signora!
