15/01/2025: Consultando le recensioni abbiamo deciso di provare questa trattoria a Sant'Angelo Scalo e mai scelta fù più azzzeccata, ambiente informale a gestione familiare. In due abbiamo preso una zuppa di funghi con castagne e porcini e degli gnocchi al sugo d'anatra; per secondo un taglire di formaggi misti che abbiamo diviso e per finire una zuppa inglese ed un caffè. Tutto buonissimo e preparato in modo genuino. Spesa di 20,00 € a testa. Torneremo sicuramente!!!!
13/01/2025: Siamo capitati in questa trattoria per caso a ora di pranzo diretti nella zona di Montalcino. Siamo stati fortunati a fermarci qui. Ambiente semplice ma curato. Buona scelta nel menù con piatti della tradizione locale però cucinati in maniera ricercata. Prezzi onestissimi.

You can eat very well, both typical Tuscan cuisine and pizza.
The owners who take care of the management are really nice.

29/08/2024: I am really happy to have had this experience of a dinner at the canonical tavern in Castiglion Del Bosco... The menu and the menu of the day satisfied us greatly with dishes of the highest quality and very delicious... I would like to thank in particular the waitress who our table was occupied all evening and she was truly exceptional and professional in taking care of us... a well-structured menu and a truly customer-friendly service, in addition to dinner we also had the pleasure of meeting the very famous chef Carlo Cracco... I will definitely come back

10/11/2024: On Friday evening we stayed in this splendid hotel, very close to Montalcino but away from the chaos of the centre. Basic but brand new and extremely well-kept rooms. Stunning panorama. Excellent breakfast. The most notable thing, however, is the kindness of all the staff, they pampered us from the moment we arrived until the moment we left, helping us with every aspect of our stay inside and outside the Hotel. We hope to return soon!
07/11/2024: literally immersed in reading 1.4km from Montalcino, wonderful place, perfect rooms and the icing on the cake is the staff who are always available and very nice, I highly recommend

05/01/2025: Do not stay here. They are scammers. I was staying for two nights, and they double-charged me, stating my card didn't go through, and I paid cash. Breakfast is horrible, and the elderly couple who manage this, along with their daughter, are awful at customer service. AC/Heat did not work, and the room had a very humid stench. They also scratched my car. Since you can't self-park,. You have to trust them to park your car.
26/12/2024: We went to Albergo IL GIGLIO for dinner in the evening. There are two restaurant areas in IL GIGLIO, the back part seems a little more refined.
White tablecloths and silver cutlery are used here. The house serves typical Italian dishes such as Risotto al Brunello or Tagliolini al Tartufo Scorzone Fresco.
There is still some room for improvement in terms of taste, but the service is a bit slow; Sometimes orders have to be reminded a second time. However, overall recommended!

05/01/2025: Everything was wonderful. A must-see for anyone visiting Montalcino. The food was incredible, perfect, from the starter (bruschetta) to the dessert (pinci, faraona, vegetables and potatoes; tiramisu and pistachio panna cotta). Excellent wine list. Excellent service, very polite and friendly. Beautiful decor, and attention to detail. We loved it. We will definitely be back! Grazie Mille!

07/01/2025: Cucina curata esclusivamente dalla sig.ra Donatella (titolare) in maniera ineccepibile. La migliore tradizione della cucina Toscana non rinnovata ma perpetuata nel tempo. Dalle magiche padelle i migliori piatti. La cortesia e la gentilezza di tutti. Obbligo fermarsi se si è in zona. Donatella da abbracciare. Grazie

14/12/2024: This is a Michelin one star and that’s why I decided to try. It was a very nice environment in Montalcino old town and I was not disappointed overall as experience. Waiter and owner very nice and friendly. Local food very authentic with good wine selection, price affordable. All was good. Perfect choice for a romantic walk around the old town to digest, just watch the tripod stairs on the hill. Seems here to be back in the middle age time. If you stop in this town, you this is not a bad experience

28 euros for just two ribollitas served in a bowl the size of the one for cats. Among other things, salty and with little variety of ingredients. We are talking about a poor dish, with very low cost in terms of ingredients, the portion was ridiculous. Cover charge 2.50 euros for a paper placemat. Small water 3 euros. Don't go to this restaurant
08/01/2025: A simple place, the 5 stars are because this is exactly what we were looking for. For the third time in Montalcino, and for the third time in this small and simple place, where you find yourself chatting with the owner and other people. No demands on the furniture and image. After all, a real trattoria must be like this. Excellent cut, extraordinary wine. We will definitely come back again. You can breathe in all the best of Tuscan hospitality. Lilly and Stefano

03/08/2024: Lisa was a lovely host, and we had the best time here. She took her time to explain everything in detail; she’s so passionate about wine, and it was a lovely experience. The vineyard itself has a beautiful history and story. It was truly an enjoyable afternoon.
25/04/2024: Location stupenda in un paesaggio immutato da secoli con un viale alberato da cartolina, gia’ questo giustificherebbe una gita alla Taverna del Castello Banfi, trattoria con cucina tradizionale fatta principalmente con prodotti del territorio. Una nota di merito ai ravioli ripieni di agnello con piselli, peperone crusco e fondo di agnello, molto buono il filetto come la ribollita.Servizio professionale ma un po’ lento e per questo con un gesto raro che ho apprezzato molto mi hanno offerto il vino (gesto non da poco visto che era un brunello di Montalcino), carta dei vini con ampia scelta di vini toscani ma orientata, come era naturale, soprattutto ai vini della tenuta. Prezzi non bassi ma assolutamente giustificati

Pizza mi Steinpilzen: die Pilze musste man suchen. Sehr ölig!
Salamipitzza mit viel Zwiebel.
Pizzakoch absolut ungeeignet und nicht ausgebildet. War vorher Kellner.
