02/12/2024: We were trying to have lunch at a fancy winery nearby but it was closed, which led us to this amazing and memorable local restaurant. In our two week vacation it was probably the best meal we had. I still talk about this meal years later. Go! It’s casual yet charming and so delicious.
01/12/2024: What can I say... Pino is always a guarantee. Tonight I was lucky enough to also eat the duck with orange and pistachios and a new entry dessert, the chestnut and mandarin mousse, fabulous. Thanks, see you next time 😉

You can eat very well, both typical Tuscan cuisine and pizza.
The owners who take care of the management are really nice.
I highly recommend it

23/10/2024: One of the best restaurants in Montalcino. Excellent food and prices in line with the place. I give 4 stars only because the portions are a little too small and you leave the table almost with "regret", while a restaurant, to be "TOP", should guarantee that sense of satisfaction in the customer of having eaten well and above all the right amount . Ordering grilled vegetables and being brought "wafers" of aubergines and courgettes, so transparent that you can almost see through them (I use the paradox only to give a better idea) can certainly satisfy the aesthetic sense but certainly not the stomach.

10/11/2024: On Friday evening we stayed in this splendid hotel, very close to Montalcino but away from the chaos of the centre. Basic but brand new and extremely well-kept rooms. Stunning panorama. Excellent breakfast. The most notable thing, however, is the kindness of all the staff, they pampered us from the moment we arrived until the moment we left, helping us with every aspect of our stay inside and outside the Hotel. We hope to return soon!
07/11/2024: literally immersed in reading 1.4km from Montalcino, wonderful place, perfect rooms and the icing on the cake is the staff who are always available and very nice, I highly recommend

14/12/2024: This is a Michelin one star and that’s why I decided to try. It was a very nice environment in Montalcino old town and I was not disappointed overall as experience. Waiter and owner very nice and friendly. Local food very authentic with good wine selection, price affordable. All was good. Perfect choice for a romantic walk around the old town to digest, just watch the tripod stairs on the hill. Seems here to be back in the middle age time. If you stop in this town, you this is not a bad experience

12/11/2024: trattoria anni '70 per ambiente e menu, ci eravamo un po' fatti condizionare dal punteggio non elevato ma invece era tutto buonissimo, antipasto misto toscano, fegatelli, salumi, cibo semplice ma di qualità e ben preparato. Certo non siamo tipi da locali fighetti.

07/12/2024: Breakdown in the gas system area but as soon as I sit down will you tell me? First you bring me water and bread then the menu after ten minutes you tell me no meat i.e. no fillet or steak or Florentine steak! You gave me a dry, stringy chicken

23/11/2024: Premetto che ho lavorato 20 anni nel mondo della ristorazione e questa è la prima volta che mi succede una cosa del genere. Oggi festeggio il mio compleanno e sono a dormire a castello di velona. Volevo cenare alla locanda in questione perché in molti mi hanno consigliato questo ristorante. Per tanto chiamo e prenoto un tavolo per le 21. Tutto regolare. Alle 19 trovo una chiamata sul mio cellulare e per tanto richiamo e mi dicono che se voglio andare a cenare posso solo alle 19 30 se no cancellano la prenotazione. A questo punto ho disdetto e fissato al SETTIMO SENSO dove sicuramente sanno fare bene il loro lavoro. Se non sapete lavorare è bene stare chiusi, ma sempre!
03/11/2024: siamo stati tutti rapiti dal gusto dei pici al ragù bianco. All’arrivo della crema al caffè, specialità della casa, il gentile Cristian non esita a dimostrare la sua forza, quando sfidato a braccio di ferro. Serata indimenticabile, tra piatti della casa,risate e divertimento!!!

03/08/2024: Lisa was a lovely host, and we had the best time here. She took her time to explain everything in detail; she’s so passionate about wine, and it was a lovely experience. The vineyard itself has a beautiful history and story. It was truly an enjoyable afternoon.
25/04/2024: Location stupenda in un paesaggio immutato da secoli con un viale alberato da cartolina, gia’ questo giustificherebbe una gita alla Taverna del Castello Banfi, trattoria con cucina tradizionale fatta principalmente con prodotti del territorio. Una nota di merito ai ravioli ripieni di agnello con piselli, peperone crusco e fondo di agnello, molto buono il filetto come la ribollita.Servizio professionale ma un po’ lento e per questo con un gesto raro che ho apprezzato molto mi hanno offerto il vino (gesto non da poco visto che era un brunello di Montalcino), carta dei vini con ampia scelta di vini toscani ma orientata, come era naturale, soprattutto ai vini della tenuta. Prezzi non bassi ma assolutamente giustificati

29/08/2024: I am really happy to have had this experience of a dinner at the canonical tavern in Castiglion Del Bosco... The menu and the menu of the day satisfied us greatly with dishes of the highest quality and very delicious... I would like to thank in particular the waitress who our table was occupied all evening and she was truly exceptional and professional in taking care of us... a well-structured menu and a truly customer-friendly service, in addition to dinner we also had the pleasure of meeting the very famous chef Carlo Cracco... 05/07/2024: An amazing location with stunning vistas and great food. Walk up to the abbey area while waiting for the next course as the views are amazing. The bread with house oil is special. You will not regret drive up the hill to get there - even though it is a tough drive !!

Pizza mi Steinpilzen: die Pilze musste man suchen. Sehr ölig!
Salamipitzza mit viel Zwiebel.
Pizzakoch absolut ungeeignet und nicht ausgebildet. War vorher Kellner.
