10/01/2026: We spent a few days in Pistoia for the Christmas holidays, and on the evening of January 1st, craving a nice Florentine steak, we stumbled upon this typical trattoria. They offer a fixed-price menu, which I recommend, which includes mixed appetizers, a Florentine steak of a weight appropriate for the number of guests, three side dishes, and a dessert. Drinks are not included. The owner, like the staff, is incredibly welcoming. You can tell they really care about explaining the quality and provenance of the meat. Oh! By the way, aside from appetizers and side dishes: THEY ONLY EAT MEAT! It's a real steakhouse; they don't do first courses, they don't do fish... What a steak, folks! Served on piping hot plates so it doesn't get cold, and cut at the table by the owner himself. The only flaw: they served us French meat. Good, tender, but not the most flavorful. I would have preferred local meat. Anyway, I recommend it. It's worth it.

06/01/2026: This traditional Tuscan restaurant is located on Via Sant'Andrea in Pistoia, in a beautiful medieval building restored with exposed brick and stone. Enjoy fabulous grilled meats and traditional dishes with tasty crostini, excellent cured meats, side dishes, and appetizers, accompanied by a wide selection of white and red wines. The owners, with great professionalism and kindness, recommend these wines, turning a simple dinner into a truly exquisite culinary experience. The restaurant is truly beautiful, meticulously maintained, and fantastic for photographs. Excellent in every way! The food, wines, hospitality, and sophistication. Recommended restaurant!

30/12/2025: We chose this restaurant on a beautiful Sunday in November, inspired by the numerous positive reviews, and I must say we were completely satisfied! We sat in the second room, more modern and welcoming than the entrance, and immediately appreciated the elegant yet unpretentious atmosphere and the kindness of the staff. Pappardelle with wild boar ragù, fried porcini mushrooms, a delicious roasted porcini mushroom cap, and the inevitable steak! A good red wine accompanied it, and a cream-filled millefeuille for dessert. What can I say... it was an absolutely satisfying lunch. We waited a bit for the meat, probably because the place was crowded, but it was absolutely worth it: quality produce, cooked properly, and beautifully presented... Excellent! The pappardelle with wild boar thrilled the kids, and the mushrooms were the icing on the cake of a lunch that simply leaves you wanting more. Considering the quality of the product, the bill seemed fair for what we ordered. Parking might be a bit difficult along the road that runs through this small corner of Nievole; I'd recommend arriving 10 minutes before rush hour. Otherwise, "Il Pellegrino" keeps all its promises and offers customers a totally positive experience! Top marks!

08/03/2026: We had lunch at this trattoria a little out of town. The four of us had a great time. The professional staff recommended some of the day's specials. We thoroughly enjoyed everything: a good platter of cured meats and cheeses with sauces and honey, a plate of delicious fried artichokes, three wild boar slices with polenta, a semolina dessert, and two coffees. We spent €96. It seemed reasonable and good value, and the service was also good. The place was nice, clean, and tidy, with a covered veranda.

05/12/2025: It was recommended to us, and we were right to follow it! Pici with artichokes (which I absolutely recommend) was truly amazing!! My son had the duck breast and was very, very satisfied. The place is very small, with a Tuscan inn feel, the owner is friendly and kind, and the dishes are freshly prepared with care and passion, which you can taste in the flavors. I highly recommend it, and I hope to see you soon!

08/03/2026: I'd read so many great reviews, and after going there, I can say the service was impeccable, friendly, and young, yet very professional. The problem is the pizza; honestly, I found them all to be very flavorless. Given the price, I expected the quality of the ingredients to be better.

14/02/2026: Wwwooowww!!! A place with an unparalleled view. To say it's wonderful is simply an understatement. Excellent, high-quality food. The menu consists of just a few dishes, but they're executed excellently. We had the steak, which was extraordinary; the mushroom squares with sausage and pumpkin, which I highly recommend; two side dishes, one of which was delicious sautéed vegetables; and finally, a sampling of delicious desserts. I'd say the service was special because the owner is truly a wonderful and kind person, and he's incredibly friendly, and meeting people like that these days is rare. A welcome that embraced me. We promised each other we'd return; we've discovered a place we love.

16/12/2025: Beautiful and well-kept place, we can eat inside and outside, beautiful terrace from which you can see the landscape, excellent place to eat Tuscan food, very good appetizers and very good first and second courses, typical meat and fish dishes, very kind and professional both the staff and the owner as soon as you arrive to order, the staff goes out of their way to make you feel at home and satisfy your requests, clean restrooms, good prices, large parking lot, that's why I gave it 4 stars, I recommend trying the pizzas and the tagliolini with lobster, they are finger-licking good, and the Cinta Senese pork loin with fried patent and fried porcini mushrooms 😋😋😀

01/03/2026: An excellent experience at this restaurant, renowned for the quality and freshness of its ingredients. The atmosphere is pleasant and welcoming, made even more enjoyable by the owner's friendliness and helpfulness. We started with a delicious Sorrento-style mussel soup, truly exquisite and rich in flavor. Next, we chose a mixed fried fish dish: perfectly crispy, light, and not at all greasy, a sign of excellent frying. The next course, trofie with pistachio pesto, was equally excellent: an intense and flavorful pesto, enriched with generous and irresistible pistachio crumbs. To conclude, we enjoyed a basket of berry filo pastry with Chantilly cream, a balanced and very pleasant dessert. A restaurant I highly recommend!
