03/01/2026: Everything was perfect, the room was beautiful, the breakfast was good, the staff were friendly, the only flaw was the towels in the bathroom were not very soft.
03/11/2025: Very nice hotel on the beach. Our room was elegant and spacious, with a great shower and comfortable bed. Dinner at the hotel restaurant was delicious. All the staff were really friendly. We'll be back soon.

21/10/2025: Located in the center of Castiglione della Pescaia, we dined inside (late October) in a very quaint basement room that was definitely once a granary. We ordered grilled sea bass and baked sea bream, along with half a liter of wine. The food and service were good, though the prices are a bit high, but the location justifies that.

Osteria del Mare is one of those places where the cuisine truly speaks for itself.
The dishes express the region with surprising clarity: ultra-fresh fish, top-quality ingredients, and a kitchen that enhances every flavor without ever overpowering it.
From crudités to expertly crafted pasta dishes, to main courses that exude the aroma of real seafood, each course demonstrates a care and expertise hard to find elsewhere.
The atmosphere is pleasant, refined without being pretentious, and contributes to the atmosphere typical of the best Tuscan seafood osterias: authentic, welcoming, and relaxed.
A small, constructive suggestion, born from the overall appreciation: an extra smile and a pinch of empathy from the owner would make the experience truly impeccable.
The quality of the cuisine deserves equally warm service, and it wouldn't take much to transform an excellent lunch into a perfect memory.
In any case, Osteria del Mare remains a highly recommended stop for those seeking authentic flavors and seafood cuisine that never disappoints.
01/02/2026: Exorbitantly priced for the service and products. Modest offerings: they don't do fried food at a seafood restaurant! Very sloppy service (they took away my spoon before I'd even finished my dessert).

22/02/2026: We had lunch at this restaurant. The service was poor. The staff were friendly but not in tune with the food. We had a long wait before and after, with a dirty plate in front of us for far too long. Two and a half hours for two appetizers and two first courses. Off-menu dishes include daily specials, which are announced by the waitress, so be careful with the price. Pici with lobster cost €32, with a cover charge of €3 for two cutlery and paper napkins. I don't recommend it.

14/09/2025: I WON'T MENTION THE BATHROOM BECAUSE I DIDN'T USE IT.
My review is for the restaurant. I'm relying on the staff's advice (very kind) when I was hesitant about two dishes on the menu and when choosing a glass of wine.
The wine arrived with a full explanation (which is much appreciated), but unfortunately it was probably a bottle that had been opened a long time ago or stored poorly.
The dish I chose on the menu was marked as possibly frozen (which is fine), but the problem is that I was served a lobster that was still frozen and practically inedible.
I didn't tell the staff what had happened, so as not to start "useless" discussions in front of other customers, but I left the frozen piece in plain sight on my plate.
The coffee arrived in the beautiful cup as pictured, and there were no spills from the coffee maker, but rather caked-on.
I paid and was given a small discount, which was certainly appreciated, but it smelled of something more.
Nice setting on the beach, but alas!!!

04/10/2025: We stumbled upon this restaurant yesterday by chance. The wait staff was incredibly helpful and welcoming, even promptly responding to our request to move and light the fire pit to keep our two-month-old baby warm. The food was excellent, the wait time was normal for freshly prepared dishes, and the wine was also worth it. They accept dogs and were kind enough to provide a bowl of water if needed. I really liked that the chef (and I assume the owner) walked around the tables to make sure everything was okay, but without being intrusive. I highly recommend it and thank them for the wonderful evening we spent there.

14/07/2025: Incompetenti spaghetti con le vongole ? Non persistite vongole nel piatto se mai dei lupini sgusciati congelati .. mai mangiato male così senza un minimo di sapore di mare e er altro spaghetti verdi allucinante il uovo deve assolutamente andare a fare il bagnino che è meglio
11/07/2025: Castiglione della Pescaia, mare stupendo, pescherecci a due passi, eppure riescono a servire pesce che sembra arrivare da una mensa scolastica dimenticata degli anni ’80. Complimenti.
Cominciamo con l’“invitante” trilogia di alici. Sì, tre alici. Sempre le stesse, semplicemente impiattate in modo diverso per far scena. Stoppose, dure, con la coda ancora attaccata che ti ritrovi in bocca come un amo da sputare. Ma che vi costa almeno tagliarla?
Penso: dai, magari capita, saranno finite le buone. Arriva il secondo: calamaro in guazzetto. Gommoso da fare invidia a una suola di scarpa, salato da prosciugarti le labbra. Una vera impresa culinaria: rendere immangiabile anche un calamaro fresco in un paese di mare.
E ora la parte peggiore: nessuno chiede niente. Né un “tutto bene?”, né uno sguardo curioso sul piatto lasciato pieno. La sala e la cucina sapevano bene cosa stavano servendo, ma l’importante era incassare. Mi hanno preso i soldi con la stessa gentilezza con cui uno butta una cartaccia nel cestino.
Non mi aspettavo lo sconto, ma almeno una faccia seria. Un minimo di rispetto per chi esce di casa sperando di mangiare bene.
In una località così ricca di pesce vero, di tradizione, è criminale servire piatti simili. Un affronto alla cucina di mare. Ecco, spero che questa recensione serva a evitare a qualcun altro la stessa delusione.
Con tutto il cuore: non andateci

Personale molto gentile. Abbiamo mangiato l' antipasto di pesce sia crudo che cotto, molto buono e la spigola con le patate , deliziosa. Cucina molto curata.
