16/02/2025: I had already tried the summer menu, completely different from the one found today (February) with all seasonal ingredients. I came with my family, a little skeptical, but when they tried the various dishes they changed their minds, the agnolotti with hemp ricotta and the arancine with beetroot were excellent, but the chocolate cake with a warm heart and pistachio ice cream was something exceptional. Welcoming atmosphere, helpful staff, who guide you in choosing the dishes. Excellent quality ingredients, tasty, well balanced in the various dishes. I recommend it to everyone, regardless of the diet you adopt, it will amaze you.

The owner, Mr. Mario, is a kind, cheerful person and always ready to satisfy your every need or curiosity! What else to say, whether it's a pleasure or business holiday, in this farmhouse you will feel pampered like at home and above all you won't want to leave! Ps. the food here is something magical!!!!

09/01/2025: We waited a long time at the table for 2 pizzas, because they served the takeaway ones first. In the meantime we ordered 2 small plates of broccoli which we were charged 16 euros for! In Milan we would have paid a maximum of 8/9 euros

Un locale dove puoi fare la spesa, salumi, verdure, specialità locali, ma puoi anche accomodarti per un pranzo davvero speciale Ho provato la loro caponata e una gustosa insalatona, tutto ottimo Alla cassa ho trovato una grande scelta di tavolette di cioccolato artigianali molto molto invitanti! 04/01/2025: We’ve booked this restaurant to celebrate new year’s evening. It looked that it would be nice to be there to celebrate jumping into 2025. We received confirmation of the booking when doing it and then a reminder the day before. On the 31st we went there in the afternoon in order to check what the menu will be. The person working in the kitchen was there, really nice and polite but he couldn’t find us on the list so he called the owner. The owner arrived and behaved like a jerk. He said we were not ont his list and « basta ». We showed him the confirmation email and the reminder, he didn’t care, we were not on his list, end of story. It’s not like you can easily find option for the 31st of December evening when it’s already 4pm. He really wasn’t trying to find any solution and offered none. The message was clear « you won’t eat in my restaurant and where you go is not my business »… even though he saw we booked his place weeks ago. At some point, the fact that he doesn’t want us here being clear, we asked him if we could find us another place. Then he was SO HAPPY we won’t be at his place, he relaxed, called another place and booked us a table. Few days later, I contacted « the fork » to understand what happened there. They went into the case and saw that the owner of the restaurant changed our reservation himself to the 2nd of January… so the guy knew exactly what he did, who we were, that we booked the table for the 31st, that he is doing it on purpose. After him being rude and not helping, I was tired of writing a comment. After all, we didn’t have the opportunity to eat there. But when I learned not only he didn’t care when we were in a pity situation, but he knew the whole thing and orchestrated it, I am really disappointed. The guy is shameless, lying at our faces, that’s really a shame to be that kind of human.

09/02/2025: Excellent and authentic tavern, but the service (courtesy and professionalism, for the staff in the room with white jackets) is restaurant-style. You drink and eat very well (intelligent few dishes, but done well and at honest prices) Moreover, being in the historic center, we can enjoy a stroll after lunch. We will always return and with many friends.

04/02/2025: St. George's Cathedral was closed: thank goodness!!! So we passed the time in the best way. Warm welcome. Superb food. Price appropriate to the offer. Two tastings: one of land and one of sea for which the table was not enough. Good wine. Remarkable desserts. The Cathedral can wait.

Ho preso una grigliata di pesce, arrivata dopo quasi un'ora d'attesa e assolutamente mediocre. Pesce spada colloso, totano crudo...insomma, non ci siamo proprio. Peccato veramente

26/12/2024: Located in the center of lower Modica, but in an alley that guarantees tranquility, it is a place furnished with simple elegance. Cozy, even romantic. The menu is constantly evolving, as is Francesca Barone's traditional and, at the same time, sparkling with imagination cuisine. Very young, without taboos but respectful of the seasonality and territoriality of tradition. In the dining room are sister Carla and her husband, who best manage the attentive service and a cellar full of surprises and distant harvests. Excellent success of the dishes and a quality/price ratio that is difficult to find elsewhere. The tasting menus leave ample freedom of choice and are extremely convenient. Very recommended!

28/09/2024: Absolutely stunning dinner last night with my wife. We had a shorter version of a tasting menu and really should have gone with the longer one, since every dish was so beautiful, creative, thoughtful and delicious. Service was just as fantastic as well, our server recommended a phenomenal wine that we absolutely fall in loved with and would never discover otherwise. You should definitely go and eat here. I can’t recommend this place enough. It was absolutely one of our favorite meals we had in Sicily.

05/01/2025: Superior quality km 0. You can taste the traditional foods of Ragusa, Modica, from appetizers to first courses, then abundant second courses and, last but not least, desserts, all delicious and the service with great kindness.

22/12/2024: Excellent cuisine and service, unfortunately the place is not adequately soundproofed and you eat in the midst of the "noise" if you are unlucky you end up with neighbors at the table, who don't allow you to exchange even a comment on the dishes they serve you, with whoever sits next to you.
