31/05/2025: We really enjoyed visiting La Caravella while on holiday in Taormina. Our hotel recommended it to us and arranged for their shuttle to come and collect us. This was great as we later found out that taxis to go down the hill from La Taormina are extremely expensive. We were very warmly greeted and offered a pick of sun loungers. This excellent service continued all day, with the waiters and beach boys quick to offer any help or service you required. The beach is stony with small pebbles so bring water shoes or flip flops. This place is clean and well maintained but does not have the glossy chic ( or cost!) of some fancy beach bars which are perhaps for younger people more interested in a party vibe, but the service and atmosphere were exactly what we were looking for. A great team of people supervised by a hands-on, friendly proprietor. The highlight of the day was the food. Julio recommended the daily specials on both of our visits, and both were outstanding. They have a very talented chef for sure. I have never tasted tuna steak so moist and flavoursome. The pasta with fresh anchovies prepared Sicilian style was also delicious. There are also much plainer offerings on the menu. The shuttle bus returned us to our hotel at the end of the day. Thoroughly enjoyable day and I highly recommend.

22/05/2025: The food was very good, especially if you like fish. The fish is fresh and tasting. The service was excellent. Highly recommended. A bit pricy, but totally worth the experience.

20/05/2025: Gorgeous restaurant, friendly helpful staff and great food. We wandered upon this place after trying to go to Osteria Da Rita and the line was too long. This was a great find and having tried both now, we enjoyed this place more. It was a bit pricier but worth it!

25/01/2025: The Villa Ducale is a beautiful little boutique hotel on the hillside of Taormina, the rooms are beautifully furnished and offer every comfort, the shower in the bathroom was also incredibly good as it had a built-in waterfall. The view from the balcony was magnificent; in the morning you could enjoy the sunrise in peace. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful, the lady at reception even spoke perfect German which was a pleasant surprise. The view from the in-house restaurant is stunning both at breakfast and dinner.

02/06/2025: The restaurant da Giovanni was truly a great experience. The atmosphere is welcoming, relaxing, bright with a breathtaking view of the balcony overlooking Isola Bella. The dishes are delicious, with very fresh ingredients, prepared with care. Excellent food quality. Familiar and professional welcome, the staff was friendly, attentive and ready to satisfy any request. Highly recommended.

20/05/2025: A lovely restaurant set aside from the main road in Taormina. It had a lovely garden terrace where we had our meal. The meal was delicious. The starter aubergine caponata was incredible, well seasoned and rich in flavour. The bread was served warm with a helping of olive oil and balsamic vinegar- sadly lacking in other restaurants. The main meal was an alla Norma pizza and pasta both well seasoned and neatly balanced. I would highly recommend this restaurant for a meal!

18/05/2025: We had the best dinner here tonight. The service and atmosphere were excellent. I ordered the gnocchi and they were the best I have had in Taormina. They also had heaters next to the table's since it was cool outside. I highly recommend this restaurant. Delicious!

10/05/2025: Il ristorante si trova in un bel vicolo di Taormina, lontano dal caos. Il pesce è buono e molto fresco e la proprietaria molto cordiale e competente. Attenzione ai prezzi peró, soprattutto del vino, poichè abbiamo pagato un calice circa 16 euro. Nel complesso la qualità è ottima ma per un antipasto e un primo non spenderete meno di 80 euro a testa.

29/05/2025: This restaurant has been our favorite for many years. The pasta is very good. The pizza used to be phenomenal - but sadly it has been removed from the menu and is no longer made here. The tartare is still mixed in front of us by the owner, who always takes care of his guests. The view of Etna and the sea from a restaurant is the best we have found in 15 years of traveling around Sicily. It is more expensive than it used to be - inflation, but it is still worth a dinner here for lovers of an amazing view and atmosphere.

28/05/2025: We had dinner here and the food was excellent, the staff were also very friendly and attentive. After having eaten in plenty of restaurants around Taormina this was certainly one of the best.

25/05/2025: What can I say? Absolutely stunning!! We visited last night for drinks and the staff were so amazing we went back for food and wine tonight. Staff couldn’t do enough for us and the food was absolutely amazing. Never ever had a carbonara like it. We were going to go to try Osteria da Rita but thx manager was so rude we decided against it! A must must must visit in Taormina!! Thank you so much xxx

07/05/2025: Absolutely delicious! We had the roasted octopus, carbonara with morels special, the filet and cannoli dessert. All of it was heaven and the staff warm and welcoming. Thank you for making our last night in Sicily a meal to remember 🫶🏼🤌🏼😍

09/05/2025: So delicious! It is really the best pasta in Italy (the uncle made it directly on the spot.. I was completely stunned).. No other! Highly recommended!! Chinese-speaking friends can also go for it (Chinese people don’t cheat Chinese people) Hands down for the best pasta in Italy I’ve tried over a 7-day period. I’ve been to so many cities this trip, Parma, Napoli, Amalfi, and now here. This pasta has stunned me so much I wander what I was consuming previously…. The noodle was handmade, ON THE SPOT… like wow!!! The taste and the texture was absolutely amazing! The grilled fish scent was so obvious 3-5min after we put in the order… finished it with barely any reconstruction left… hahah

13/05/2025: Terrace overlooking Isola Bella beach. Wonderful location. Honest cuisine typical of the region. Decent welcome, but the service could be more attentive. A true experience typical of this type of touristy establishment.

04/05/2025: I thought it was really great! The restaurant is not fancy, but has a cozy atmosphere. The food was delicious and the service was both attentive and super friendly! We had bruschetta as a greeting from the kitchen, grilled fish in caper and lemon sauce with mashed potatoes, grilled vegetables as a side dish and grilled fish (sea bream) with lemon and mashed potatoes. I also asked if I could have an Amari Spritz and even though our waiter seemed to find that irritating, he made me one and it was delicious too!
