21/05/2025: I have been there several times for both lunch and dinner, and what can I say? The prices are really great and the food is top notch, from lunch to pizza. We have never been disappointed, great service, good staff, and the owner is very knowledgeable about the food.
WE WILL DEFINITELY RETURN!
28/04/2025: Sono stata alla Trattoria Nonna Vita e, sebbene il personale sia stato molto educato e il locale, recentemente rinnovato, curato e accogliente, purtroppo la cucina non mi ha convinta. Non ho apprezzato nessuno dei piatti assaggiati e anche la pizza è risultata solo sufficiente. È davvero un peccato, perché l’ambiente ha ottime potenzialità. Consiglierei di migliorare la qualità degli alimenti per offrire un’esperienza gastronomica all’altezza delle aspettative.

05/06/2025: I will not return. I ask for a wine from the menu, they tell me there is none. Okay, it can happen. The mixed fish fry was good, but they served me the second course when I had not yet finished my plate. The restaurant was almost empty and therefore this attitude is not acceptable. A mixed grill quite sad, I notice that the prawns are not cleaned properly. Too bad because the location is priceless and with a little more attention you could make not only the unwary tourist happy, but also an auttoton... I hope you improve!

The dining room staff is very welcoming: helpful, attentive and able to satisfy your every request.
The dishes are cooked and served to perfection.
The Chef's skills are remarkable, able to combine traditional dishes with new innovations.
The raw materials are carefully chosen and bring with them the flavors of the area.
The dishes are plentiful, cooked in an excellent way and presented with mastery.
The mise en place and the interiors of the room will be the backdrop for your most important events.
12/06/2025: Excellent food, friendly service. Hearty dishes. Avoid ordering a starter before the main course if you don't have a big appetite!

01/06/2025: Excellent service, good pizzas, small pieces, we only found two small problems, 1) the knives (even though they were changed) were not suitable enough to cut the pizza 2) The main entrance of the restaurant is closed, there is a barely visible sign indicating the way to enter. For the rest everything is fine, excellent location, kind and helpful staff, excellent pizzas.

11/05/2025: Really great place. They mange to bring a little innovation and "contamination" in the traditional Sicilian food, and they do it by keeping all dishes as light as possible (and it's not an easy task with Sicilian food).
Impressed! Fantastic! We came twice and if we had more time we would have come even a third time
11/05/2025: good range of purely vegan food, but popular dishes sell out before the end of the day! The seating indoors and out is a little rudimentary so best suited to eat-and-go. Great value though

The interior is elegant and cared for in every detail, with a warm and refined atmosphere that invites you to relax. Outside, the panoramic terrace is simply spectacular: dining with a sea view, among soft lights and a pleasant breeze, makes every evening special.
The pizza is the strong point: light dough, well leavened, cooked to perfection and with the highest quality ingredients. You can feel the care in the choice of raw materials, all very fresh and with an authentic flavor. The staff is friendly, professional and always attentive to the needs of customers.
An experience that I highly recommend to those looking not only for a good pizza, but also for an environment that knows how to pamper and surprise.

12/06/2025: TAVERNA GRANDE ALBERO is a charming little spot in Catania—perfect for a relaxed lunch. The food was delicious, the drinks were spot on, and the service was warm and attentive. A true Sicilian gem ! Best place that we have eaten at in Sicily. Highly recommended.
11/06/2025: A good restaurant, with expertly prepared local dishes, the fantastic Sicilian cuisine is certainly well interpreted. Maybe they should work a little more on customer care, a smile, a joke with customers, it doesn't hurt. True that it is not on the menu but it really doesn't hurt.

09/06/2025: It's hard to give negative reviews, but unfortunately they are given to stimulate everyone to do their best, which is always possible.
Good pizza, but little attention to service.
Drinks in slices, maybe a tray.
Almost everything warm, undrinkable beer that I would not have served or proposed if there had been problems with the beer system or the fridges, we point out and they are taken away and put in the fridge asking for a bottle that is also warm, response to our small complaint, they are not the fridge 🤔.
At the end of the pizza they bring back the beers on tap, we expected a new tap instead....... undrinkable.
We are offered a sweet pizza, appreciated that in our opinion implicitly proved us right, but it doesn't matter, in our opinion bad management.
Our advice is to be careful, certain nonsense can and must be avoided considering the location and the proposal that are of a high level. Ours wants to be an incentive to do well and pay more attention.

16/06/2025: A top restaurant right across from our hotel. Many hotel guests go here for dinner, friendly honest cuisine and soft prices. A bottle of good wine 20 euros, pizza 12 euros and excellent fresh fish dishes
14/06/2025: A corner of authentic Sicily.. If you are looking for a restaurant that combines the taste of the sea with true Sicilian tradition, Blue Ice is a must. As soon as you sit down, you are immediately greeted by intense aromas and sincere smiles, those that only a cuisine made with love can convey. We started with two appetizers and followed by a second course of swordfish rolls, where each dish was characterized by the processing of the fish done with respect and imagination.
All accompanied by an excellent white wine.
A place that does not try to amaze with special effects, but conquers with quality, authenticity and passion. We will definitely return to try the pizza that from the appearance seemed very inviting.
An added ingredient that should not be underestimated is certainly the competence of the staff, always friendly and attentive.
