06/09/2025: This is worth visiting when on holiday in Pula. We had twice dinner in one week and the taste and quality were superb. Instead of other reviews: the price is much better than at our nearby hotel.
Recommended and do try the homemade cheesecake for dessert!
06/09/2025: It was close to the hotel where we were staying, and we decided to try it. It has a lovely little terrace and a unique garden that gives it a magical feel. We ordered a sharing dish (fish carpaccio), very fresh and light, and then a pasta dish. I chose the Penne in Cream of Gamberi, and it was a hearty and flavorful dish. It was my choice to try something different.

24/02/2026: Christian Collu has created a truly enchanting place with Machrì al Mare. Directly opposite the 1000-year-old pilgrimage church of Sant Efisio, a culinary epicenter for Pula has emerged.
On one side, a pizzeria and café; on the other, creative fine dining just shy of Michelin-starred status. Enjoy sea views from the terrace on one side and views of the lagoon and the mountain range on the other.
The decor is stylish and tasteful, though the visual and acoustic separation between the kitchen and service areas could use some improvement.
The cuisine is creative and showcases the full spectrum of new, fresh Sardinian dishes. A must-try!
26/10/2025: Warm welcome and excellent cuisine. We ate a delicious mullet carpaccio with bottarga, followed by black rice with octopus flavored with fish broth. Perfect flavors from start to finish. A lime sorbet to finish. A very generous limoncello spritz. 2 glasses of a local white wine full of character. Everything is just right in the flavors and cooking. All for 70 euros per person, which seemed justified to us.

05/10/2025: The food was poor, the portions were small, and the service was pushy and downright unpleasant. I paid 32 euros for four shrimp—mediocre, according to the waitress. If they want to see a real seafood restaurant, they should come to Poland. I've never been to such a poor and dishonest restaurant in Italy. Not good for a restaurant in a seaside resort. I've been to many places, but here I felt like a cheated tourist.

16/11/2025: Excellent food, beautifully plated, and decent portions. The place wasn't exactly spotless, with a few cobwebs and a bit of a mess near the bathrooms. The bill was fair, prices were average. I should start by saying that the room was empty; there were seven of us. The overall experience would have been more than positive if it hadn't been for the waitress's attitude when I told her we wouldn't be splitting the bill equally, but rather based on our orders. From that moment on, the waitress never left the table, appearing nervous and impatient, seeming annoyed that we were arguing among ourselves and, to boot, meddling in our accounts. This attitude left us very perplexed, ruining the good feeling we were feeling when we left the table. Service: 0. Too bad...
06/11/2025: We stayed in Pula for 3 weeks and had dinner and aperitivi here on a number of occasions. The staff were brilliant, very friendly and we always received a warm welcome. The food was excellent. I would highly recommend, we loved it!

13/10/2025: A bit hidden away, but fantastic. Beautifully presented, a wonderful, peaceful atmosphere, excellent food, and superb cuisine. To finish, we had a Caffè Corretto San Buco. Absolutely delicious.
08/10/2025: Recommended by a local, this restaurant was a wonderful discovery! The atmosphere is quiet and intimate, perfect for those traveling with children. We were two adults with an 11-month-old baby: the waitress was attentive, helpful, and helped us find dishes suitable for him.
We shared an appetizer and a first course, then two second courses (one off the menu) recommended based on seasonality. All the fish dishes were excellent: very fresh, carefully cooked, and truly delicious. The house wine was also excellent.
We finished with a homemade seada and a glass of myrtle: a perfect finale.
We felt welcomed and at ease, which isn't always a given when traveling with a small, lively child.
Excellent food, quality fish, and impeccable service. Highly recommended—and if we return to the area, they'll definitely see us again!

15/10/2025: An absolute insider tip, the waitress's recommendation won us over. The calimari fritti were perfectly seasoned 👌 The starter is enough for two people, as the pizzas were rather large. The service was very friendly and attentive. My only complaint to the restaurant owner: please get a pepper mill. This would make it look more authentic 🤌
13/10/2025: I ate the pizza, and as always, I'm happy. For me, pizza in Pula is synonymous with Sa Macinera.

16/02/2026: We stopped in Pula for breakfast at this bar because it has always been renowned for its excellent pastries and really good pizza.
We've been there a few days now because I work in the area, and the service was terrible.
Once again, we went in, and while we were still standing, the waitress insisted on ordering.
Absurd.
I'm sorry, but we'll never go back.

13/07/2024: Pieno luglio in Sardegna una sala enorme completamente aperta, quindi caldissima, impossibile rimanere. Servizio scortese e disattento, il cameriere in particolare il più anziano di servizio , alla nostra richiesta sui tempi, non ci ha risposto, si è girato e se ne è andato guardandoci male e senza ovviamente farci sapere nulla , cibo di bassissima qualità, abbiamo lasciato tutto ( eravamo 4 persone ), ma la cosa più grave è stata un ora e mezzo di attesa per gli antipasti, abbiamo infatti disdetto i primi e i secondi e ce ne siamo andati. Mai più, serata orrenda, sconsigliatissimo.

16/10/2024: Ich kann die schlechte Bewertung nicht nachvollziehen! Wir sind selbst aus der Gastronomie und daher immer sehr kritisch, aber hier hatten wir wirklich nichts auszusetzen. Das Personal ist aufmerksam und freundlich und das Essen war überragend. Wir werden auf jeden Fall wieder kommen.
14/10/2024: This is a really pretty restaurant. Staff were really friendly and service was good as well. We arrived late and was nice to still be served. We both had pizzas but these were massive and could probably have shared. Only slight disappointment was pizza was pretty greasy. Would return though
