22/09/2025: We were there a week ago and had a wonderful time. The terrace overlooking the sea is priceless, and we enjoyed a breathtaking sunset. The service was attentive. After a selection of appetizers (delicious stuffed mussels, marinated anchovies and mussels, and the classic Apulian bruschetta with cherry tomatoes and burrata), the truly knowledgeable waiter suggested an off-menu dish that we agreed to try: excellent orecchiette with clams, Foresta Umbra clams, and bottarga. Delicious. The price was proportionate to the ingredients, the kitchen's skill, and the location. WELL DONE. Highly recommended.

06/10/2025: It's fine for one night. The rooms are comfortable and clean, but poorly soundproofed. The elevator is very noisy. The restaurant offers a limited, touristy menu. However, the reception and restaurant staff are extremely courteous and helpful.

11/10/2025: We had the pleasure of dining at Sale e Pepe restaurant in San Giovanni Rotondo, and the experience was simply superb. ​Let's start with the food: the food is excellent! It's clear that the chef and his team know their stuff, with dishes that showcase the flavors and ingredients. ​However, it's in the dining room that the magical, secret ingredient of this place comes into play: Elena and Antonio. ​From the first moment, they make you feel at ease, as if you were at the home of old friends. Antonio stands out for his innate charm combined with impeccable professionalism, expertly guiding you through your choices. Elena, originally from Naples, has that extra something: not only is she welcoming and spontaneous, but she also stands out for her great professionalism and expert service, which greatly enrich the customer experience. ​Highly recommended for those looking not only for excellent food, but also for a warm welcome and high-quality service! 18/09/2025: We dine here as we stay at the Gran Paradiso hotel. It is in the same level with the hotel lobby. Service and atmosphere are excellent, waiters were attentive and fast eventhough we were not speaking Italian. Food are just okay to our liking. Beers are nice.

15/09/2025: Excellent food, large portions, and a wide selection! We grabbed a quick lunch, being passing through, and were very satisfied.

27/08/2025: We stumbled upon it by chance during our vacation in Manfredonia and it was a pleasant discovery: great prices and good food. I absolutely recommend the meatballs. We also had the baked pasta and lasagna and were completely satisfied. When we return to Manfredonia, we'll definitely stop by again for takeout.

It's not the season anymore, so there are very few tourists, and there was no need to book a table in advance - we did it in person the day before without any problems. The staff speaks English. The service is excellent, unobtrusive and appropriate. We didn't take the complimentary wine, but the offered glass of white was very pleasant and went well with dinner. We had a table by the window, but, unfortunately, it was raining heavily all evening, so neither the stars nor the moon above the sea were visible, and in principle nothing was visible out the window)))), but this did not prevent us from enjoying the taste and conversation. In addition to delicious food, the restaurant has a pleasant atmosphere, beautiful bright design. If we are in these places, we will definitely come back to try the next menu. Thank you for the wonderful experience and mood! Citrus notes in the dishes were wonderful!:)

15/10/2025: I found a warm welcome, hospitality, and excellent, simple vegetarian cuisine, as well as the wine pairings. The dining room and sea view are breathtaking, and even the room I chose with its terrace allowed me to enjoy a wonderful sunrise. Thank you, AnnaLisa and staff.

16/07/2025: Pranzo in trabucco prenotato all'ultimo momento, accoglienza ottima! Antipasto di gamberi alla paprika ottimo, frittura di pesce leggera e di qualità , quantità nella norma. Unico neo la carta dei vini con i prezzi un po troppo elevati però consono alla difficoltà di approvvigionamento. Personale gentile e disponibile. Sicuramente consigliato!

13/07/2025: Va da sé che decidere di cenare su un trabucco alza l’asticella, si è scelto evidentemente di vivere una determinata “esperienza ”. Se poi questo avviene in una serata di mare piatto e cielo limpido, quel cielo e quel mare che fanno seguito a qualche giorno di maestrale, con un tavolo letteralmente a 2 metri, accarezzati da una leggerissima brezza ed in compagnia di gabbiani adagiati sulle tavole, con al fianco Peschici by night a strapiombo sul mare come scenario, resta solo da augurarsi una cena all’altezza della magia del contesto. Qui si va anche oltre. Provare per credere. Una brigata di giovani professioniste e professionisti hanno dato vita ad un autentico concerto mostrando efficienza e coordinamento nel servizio degno di una ristorazione stellata, seppure in un contesto logisticamente “difficile”. Il maître e lo Chef, con in carico le comande di tutti i tavoli, hanno atteso che le luci della notte si impadronissero dello scenario, lasciando ai commensali il tempo per immergersi in una atmosfera surreale, per poi dare il ciak, dar vita al servizio di una carta ampia e clamorosamente elaborata, certamente oltre le aspettative. Da Applausi ! Concedendoci un Ancestrale, metodo classico, abbiamo degustato portate di una grande cucina, per le materie prime certamente, ma limitarsi ad apprezzare le freschezze del mare sarebbe stato riduttivo, piuttosto, vivaddio, anche per elaborazione ed accostamenti arditi che i più non si aspetterebbero su un trabucco. Segnaliamo tra le eccellenze al nostro tavolo: tartare di tonno con formaggio fresco e zest di arancia, la seppia grigliata con pesto di mandorle e scaglie di tartufo. Il carpaccio di mela e cipolla rossa con olio alla menta, semplicemente da effetto woww. La sezione dessert non poteva non essere all’altezza…. boccondivino al cioccolato affogato al caffè… Appunto …Divino ! Gelato ai gelsi rossi con ostia ripiena. Strepitoso ! Molto interessante, e completa, anche la carta di accompagnamento ai dessert. In definitiva un’esperienza da annoverare tra le assolute eccellenze. Assolutamente!

22/09/2025: I'd like to start my review by thanking the owner and all the staff. You are people with big and generous hearts. During a return trip to Sicily, my wife fell ill and ended up in the emergency room. At 4 a.m., as soon as she was discharged, we found ourselves looking for a hotel to sleep in, especially since we also had a 2-year-old daughter. By now, tired and exhausted, we had given up hope. When the owner answered the phone, sensing our difficulties, she got out of bed, dressed, and welcomed us as quickly as possible. The next day, she even took care of buying milk for the baby. Not to mention the girls who take care of the rooms and dining room, who made themselves available while looking after my daughter. Thanks also to the owner's daughter, who immediately made herself available for anything. I conclude by saying that the facility is truly worth it. There's an air of kindness, courtesy, and generosity, the rooms are spacious and, above all, clean and tidy. I haven't had a chance to look closely at the exterior, but it's full of greenery, elegant gardens, and everything is very nice. Well-maintained and organized... Bring it in and you won't regret it. 03/10/2025: Without a doubt, this is one of the best restaurants in this area. Paulo, the chef and owner, along with his lovely wife make you feel so welcome. From the appetizers to the 1st and 2nd course where truly outstanding. All food is with traditional Apulian basics with added flare. We could not believe how reasonable the prices were. When traveling in this area again, I will make a special effort to have dinner at il Cortiletto.

24/09/2025: I was there on Monday 22nd September to celebrate my birthday. The owner Mr. Paolo was kind and the waiting time was right and he surprised us with a fabulous menu. We are ready to return and I recommend it to everyone.

14/08/2025: Welcoming place, helpful, polite, and attentive staff. Fresh, high-quality products. We went for dinner; the place was packed, but we managed to find seats for four despite short notice. The kids ordered pizza, while we adults ordered a mixed antipasto and a mixed grill of meats. I personally didn't try the pizza, which my companions (husband and children) said was delicious. I ordered a mixed antipasto made up of various high-quality products, in an extremely generous portion. I don't know who supplies the ricotta, but I've rarely tasted it this good. The mixed antipasto also includes lampascioni (wild onions): try them! Highly recommended.
