09/07/2025: If you’re looking for authentic, THIS IS IT! My wife found an article referring to this Osteria and we figured we’d give it a try. Not surprisingly we were the first customers at noon, but the place quickly filled up - not a single tourist, so we knew we were in the right place. We ordered the house appetivi and everything was delicious, from the meats and cheeses to the pickled onions and meatballs and mint infused squash… it was all wonderful. Then we each ordered a pasta and they were all unique and tasty with the orchiette and rape di chime (some sort of green… turnip or broccoli) was the winner! Ohh and I forgot to mention: we tried the Asino, or donkey! Tasted like roast beef, but a new adventure for us all! The homemade tiramisu also excellent, made with real mascarpone and worth the trip alone! Then they brought little bottles of amaro and lemoncello with the towns’ famous almond and cherry cookies… a delightful end to a wonderful meal. They really made us feel not just welcome, but at home. A truly original and authentic experience, in a cute little town.

18/07/2025: Tasteless dishes, slow service, noisy setting... Nothing makes you want to come back. Huge disappointment. The price of €3.50 for a plate is ridiculous.

27/07/2025: Terrible experience. 70 euros for 2 people, wasted money...stay away, be wary!!!! A few appetizers, a meat dish they called a mixed grill. No wine, no soft drinks. It's not a tavern with traditional dishes!!!

From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by an enchanting atmosphere: the tables, set in the charming little street adjacent to the ancient village, created an idyllic setting for a summer dinner under the stars. Despite the restaurant being full, the atmosphere remained pleasantly quiet and serene, allowing us to fully enjoy the evening. The rustic decor blends perfectly with the setting, adding a touch of authenticity. The culinary journey began with a selection of traditional appetizers that left us speechless. A true feast for the palate with top-quality local products: from cheeses and cured meats to the unique donkey mortadella, from the refined beef tartare to the melted cheese, not to mention the grilled vegetables, fresh salads, and mozzarella. Every bite confirmed the freshness and excellence of the local ingredients. The highlight was the sliced beef: a true delight. The meat was cooked to perfection, incredibly juicy and flavorful, a true masterpiece of taste. To complete the experience, a chilled rosé wine, carefully served in an ice bucket to maintain the perfect temperature, a pairing that enhanced every flavor. The service was impeccable. We were served by Mimmo, whose kindness and professionalism were exemplary, helping us feel pampered. The evening concluded with a sweet surprise: we were offered delicious local sweets and biscuits, accompanied by fragrant cannoli and an excellent limoncello, a gesture of kindness that left an even more pleasant memory. In short, the Borgo Antico restaurant is a charming place with its authenticity, superb food, and an atmosphere that invites relaxation and enjoyment. It's suitable for everyone: families, couples, friends—anyone who wants to savor the true essence of Apulian cuisine in an unforgettable setting. We highly recommend it and can't wait to return!

27/06/2025: A really nice discovery. We had passed by several times but had never found a way to stop. What can I say... We were immediately welcomed warmly. We decided to have some typical appetizers and braciole with sauce. The typical and excellent quality appetizers were never ending, the braciole were exquisite. When it was time to leave they offered us dessert and typical liqueurs. Excellent value for money, we will definitely return.
