We waited 20 minutes to order and 25 minutes for a capocollo appetizer. The waiter kindly offered us some white wine for the delay, which we appreciated.
It's a shame, however, that when the tomato and cacioricotta orecchiette arrive, they bring us the orecchiette and a separate supermarket Cacioricotta sachet, already opened with a spoon placed inside.
I understand it is a trattoria (even if the sign says Restaurant), but precisely because it is a typical dish and precisely because the dish costs €10... freshly grated fresh cheese was the minimum.
Served obnoxiously (tall boy with glasses) and left for an hour on the outdoor table in the heat..
Furthermore, on the menu, the tomato-based orecchiette cost €10 but then they put €12 on the receipt, smart guys.
To then say that the price was programmed wrong....meh
Cover charge €2.50 not marked anywhere, surprise on the bill for stale bread and unprofessional service.
Very bad experience, I strongly advise against it.

30/03/2025: Characteristic location with numerous references to ancient traditions, traditional cuisine, excellent quality/price ratio.
29/03/2025: We arrived directly from the airport, and even though it was past 11pm (out of season) they welcomed us with extreme kindness. Incredible food, precise and friendly service, we felt at home. Thanks to the atmosphere, it was immediately like being among friends.
Anyway, from the appetizers to the first courses, and the apple dessert accompanied by grappa and limoncello - well-deserved compliments.
Highly recommended, and we will definitely be back!

23/03/2025: Nice atmosphere but nothing special. Normal food, the same as other trattorias in Ceglie, perhaps they should use less stock cube in the dishes also because if the product is of quality, they do not need to add all that stock cube to give flavor. The prices do not correspond to those indicated on the site and are high for a trattoria. I can conclude by saying that in Ceglie I ate better spending less. I would also like to add, after reading your answers that you gave to other customers, that a little humility and kindness would not hurt you, your ways are decidedly arrogant and rude, this is not how you respond to a customer even if they have not fully appreciated your cuisine. Ps. I am curious to read your answer....
18/03/2025: L'Antico Arco Osteria Enoteca in Ceglie Messapica offers tasty home-style cooking in a pleasant setting. While the food is solid, it's not a must-try dining experience. Due to the restaurant's popularity, advance reservations are recommended to avoid long waits.

A well-deserved eight and a half four stars.
Ceglie, like the Itria Valley, is renowned for its trattorias, hospitality and the quality of its offerings.
At Giuseppe "gallina" you can find local cuisine at honest prices
It would be an excellent judgment if he managed to revisit some proposals in a more modern way.

16/02/2025: The kindness and service of this place are the best thing. The starters are good, the classics par excellence in Ceglie. but I don't recommend the former.

29/09/2024: Siamo stati a cena con un gruppo di amici. All’arrivo ci chiedono se vogliamo stare fuori o dentro. La serata lo permetteva, quindi abbiamo scelto di stare fuori, ma non avremmo mai pensato che “fuori” significasse stare in mezzo a una strada con tavoli, sedie in plastica e un coperto discutibile. Io, in particolare, ero in bilico tra marciapiede e asfalto, rendendo non poco scomoda la seduta.
Volevamo un antipasto, ma non c’era. Ci sono solo portate singole, ad esempio capocollo, polpette, ecc., al modico prezzo di 10-12 euro a portata. Ci adeguiamo e ordiniamo. Le portate sono da considerare sufficienti per una persona. Un piatto in particolare ci ha lasciato perplessi: zucchine fritte in pastella, 10€. Anche gli altri piatti non erano adeguati al prezzo, ma le zucchine erano scandalose.
La ciliegina sulla torta è arrivata quando nelle polpette con sugo si è palesato un capello incastonato nella polpetta. Piatto mandato indietro e non voluto più. Il filetto era buono, ma erano sì e no 300 grammi per 25€. Arriva il conto e il piatto mandato indietro non era presente. Amari e grappe offerti, ma c’era un coperto in più che non abbiamo contestato. Pagato e adios, a mai più.

29/01/2025: In occasione della comunione e cresima dei miei figli abbiamo festeggiato con parenti amici e padrini, da Antimo.
Successo confermato!
Eleganza, ricercatezza, sperimentazione abbinata alla tradizione culinaria pugliese.
Esperienza fantastica!
Gli invitati tutti contenti sia per per il gusto che per l'aspetto e soprattutto per le quantità.
Un' attenzione speciale al nostro benessere e confort, tavoli ben posizionati e nonostante fossero presenti altri 2 ricevimenti abbiamo avuto la nostra tranquillità e privacy.
Servizio attento e veloce.
Menzione particolare per la location, il giardino con ulivi secolari è fantastico per le foto con i festeggiati e invitati e si presta benissimo insieme alla piscina per gli aperitivi di benvenuto e ai cocktail di commiato.
Il boschetto di lecci, poi, dona quel tocco si naturalezza e rusticità che, se si vuole può arricchire il ricevimento con un momento "caratteristico" organizzato al suo interno come rinfreschi od open bar finale.
Ampio parcheggio all' ombra degli ulivi.
Per i bambini c'è tanto spazio per giocare con la presenza di una bellissima cavalla bianca con il duo puledro, caprette asinelli oche bianche e galline in un grandissimo recinto con all' interno addirittura uno stagno.
Due chicche finali?
Una carta dei vini molto ben assortita e ricercata, con bottiglie conservate in una antica cisterna, e gran parte delle materie prime usate vengono prodotte da Antimo stesso o da un circuito "virtuoso" di amici collaboratori.
Consigliatissimo!
