16/06/2025: We had lunch at the Carlo restaurant and we are happy to have chosen it. In Senigallia there are many fish restaurants, but fortunately we decided to try it.
The fish was fresh and cooked in an exquisite way. Good quality/price ratio. Loris, our waiter proved to be capable, fast and attentive, very appreciable qualities. Well done! We will advertise you!

Excellent food and impeccable hospitality!
I have been there twice and I can say that Osteria Il Mattarello is a little gem waiting to be discovered. The place is characteristic and cared for in detail, with a warm and authentic atmosphere that immediately puts you at ease.
The staff is really kind: welcoming, smiling and always ready to advise with competence and friendliness.
I had a first course, a second course and a side dish, and I can say that every dish was a delight. Generous portions, quality ingredients and flavors that remind you of home and tradition.
An experience that I highly recommend and that I will definitely repeat!

Took the tasting menu that includes appetizers two first courses and two second courses. Good service and fair bill for what we ate.. Recommended

21/04/2025: After dreaming about it so much, my partner and I go to Andreina. We have followed and esteemed the chef for some time, and therefore the expectations are very high, the emotion is great.
Therefore I am very sorry to describe our experience in these terms:
We start very badly with the service: we are brought a welcome bubble, we choose the "smoking" menu and decide to take a bottle. We ask which macerated wines are on the menu. Answer: not present.
We ask for some Orange, answer: I can make you a juice. We understand that there is not what we are looking for and we choose the tasting of 3 glasses, asking for reds at this point. The first glass is brought to us without any interest in first understanding our tastes (perhaps the absence of coravin inhibits the pairing). A low-priced wine that we already knew and in our opinion not of very high quality. In the meantime, 1 hour and 15 minutes have passed, 2 glasses were brought to us without any plans or cutlery.
We give some indication of our tastes for the subsequent wines and it goes a little better, but now we are resigned that the experience of wine will not entertain us as much as that of food.
In fact, the service continues more relaxed from then on and the food is excellent, from the first course to the dessert. We really appreciate the guys in the room but above all the chef's humility in coming to the tables several times, his evident passion and above all the desire to share hard work and research with the diners, work that can be felt entirely.
However, from a restaurant of this size and for the price paid, one expects excellent service and a sommelier attentive to making the drinking experience live which accompanies and enhances the taste experience. This, to my enormous regret, did not happen.
Hoping that our criticism is understood in a constructive way, I highly recommend a Coravin (also because there are important labels on the menu while the glasses served for tasting disappointed us a little) and greater attention to service.
We will continue to follow the chef's journey with esteem, but we will not return any time soon because for many, having this experience requires a considerable financial outlay and the experience was not up to par due to the service which I would define as "not very pampered".

15/06/2025: se oltre al cibo amate anche il buon vino, questo è un posto ideale. Non hanno molte etichette, ma quelle che ci sono sono di buona qualità a prezzi molto buoni. Serizio ottimo, gentiulezza e professionalità, di colui che ci ha servito. ostriche e baccalà matecato di antipasto e ra pescatrice ai ferri di secondo. una bottiglia di bollicine metodo classico verdicchio riserva 2016 con 60 mesi sui lieviti. Per tornare al vino, ho preso 2 bottiglie di champagne, per il buon prezzo e sono tornato in albergo. Da migliorare un pò i piatti e i contorni (tante patate, cotte no nperfettamente). Vale comunque una visita.

04/06/2025: Wonderful location in the heart of Jesi, with a panoramic terrace overlooking part of the city. Excellent dishes, carefully prepared and presented, "hand-pulled" pasta and delicacies of all kinds (olive all'ascolana, truffle croquettes etc.). Very "rich" wine list, excellent desserts, friendly and kind staff. Cost appropriate to the quality of the products. Worth it!
14/05/2025: This evening I went to dinner with my partner at this restaurant.
What can I say, we ate very well, the place was very clean and well kept, the service was very elegant, kind and smiling, they created a nice atmosphere. Excellent value for money. I recommend it. We will definitely be back!
The beef cheek is definitely worth trying!

05/06/2025: Prezzi quasi da ristorante stellato, ma la qualità è ancora lontana da quei livelli. Alcuni piatti sono ottimi (come lo spaghetto alle cozze), altri belli ma poco saporiti (come la triglia di oriente), nessuno geniale o sorprendente. Servizio un po' caotico e macchinoso, formale ma non particolarmente attento a captare le esigenze dei clienti. La cosa più strana è che i camerieri non presentavano i piatti che ci stavano servendo, e quando chiedevamo spiegazioni non sapevano rispondere adeguatamente; quindi non sapevamo cosa stessimo mangiando, anche perché i menù pubblicati sul sito sono completamente diversi da quelli che ci sono stati proposti. Bravo il sommelier, che propone una carta adeguata per varietà, ricerca sul territorio e abbinamenti. Terrazza panoramica, ma con vista sul terminal dei traghetti. Conto finale di 140 euro per chi aveva preso il menù degustazione e sui 75 euro per chi aveva mangiato à la carte, quindi consiglio questa seconda opzione.
05/06/2025: Prices almost like a starred restaurant, but the quality is still far from those levels. Some dishes are excellent (like the spaghetti with mussels), others are beautiful but not very tasty (like the oriental red mullet), none are brilliant or surprising. The service is a bit chaotic and cumbersome, formal but not particularly attentive to understanding the needs of the customers. The strangest thing is that the waiters did not present the dishes they were serving us, and when we asked for explanations they did not know how to respond adequately; so we did not know what we were eating, also because the menus published on the website are completely different from those that were proposed to us. Well done to the sommelier, who offers a menu adequate in terms of variety, research on the territory and pairings. Panoramic terrace, but with a view of the ferry terminal. Final bill of 140 euros for those who had taken the tasting menu and about 75 euros for those who had eaten à la carte, so I recommend this second option.

13/06/2025: What can I say, it was a real disappointment! It may have been the high expectations that were mentioned in the lonely planet guide but it was a disappointing experience. The place was always full (characteristic but where you have to go down a ladder and change the air with fans, however it wasn't hot-June), we tried three times and we managed to eat only by booking a day in advance, but this can be normal, and it promised well. The service was polite but detached, hasty and unclear: basically the request for advice or information was not useful, so we threw ourselves on a classic "Paranza" and house white wine, or rather "frittura di paranza e calamari" with the idea that if you like it you get something else, I was curious about the gnocchi allo stoccafisso but I didn't understand what the waiter was telling me (maybe it depends on whether you like it). "Supermarket" bread (sliced in a rather bulky paper bag on the table), good house wine but served covered with dark bottle-covering bags to keep the cold that I have never tolerated. Fried, I would say mostly calamari, the little fish present seemed fresh and good, overall however, compared to the average, it leaves a greasy sensation that is not pleasant on the palate. While we were eating, the waiter put two napkins on the table for us to clean our hands and we wondered if it was an invitation to finish or a kindness done at the wrong time: usually it is brought at the end of the course or at the end of the meal with the bill. In short, for a fish "osteria" in a seaside place it seems to me that its "vocation" is not yet clear, it is excellent to have a limited number of courses to guarantee quality but service (3 euros), quality and information must then be consistent: the note at the end of the menu on the possible use of frozen products in the absence of fresh products is very bad, better simply not to propose it when there are no fresh products. At first sight, the appetizers/dishes that passed did not inspire or attract us. Not convinced or satisfied, we did not order anything else (about 60 euros in all): I repeat, judgment of a single experience but I cannot recommend it. Thanks anyway: the reservation by email was kind, quick and convenient.

The food is more creative and international than usual, perhaps that's why the crowd was mostly tourists like us?
That would be a shame, but it's definitely worth a visit!
Good value for money, and we also received a welcome drink from the chef, a glass of sparkling wine, and a grappa on the house...
29/05/2025: This restaurant was amazing. The staff was very welcoming and the food was very very nice. All the dishes we had were great, the staff was very attentive and the price was very honest. Little touches like a free appetiser to start and a very nice biscuit with a sweet wine to finish made this a very pleasant experience overall. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a refined dining experience for a good price.

11/06/2025: The rooms of the old palace are a bit old-fashioned, as far as the furnishings and finishings are concerned. The palace, dating back to 1770, is very beautiful, the summer residence of the Marquis del Grillo. Inside, there is a room named after Alberto Sordi, where the stage clothes used by the actor during the filming of the movie "Il Marchese del Grillo" are displayed. The internal rooms, intended for catering and breakfast, are well finished. The staff is very kind, helpful and professional. The adjacent hotel structure, called "Locanda", is very beautiful on the outside.
