20/05/2025: We were a group of nine people, consisting of two families, and were lucky enough to even get a table – without a prior reservation, it would have been impossible. We were seated in the "winter garden," and it quickly became clear that we weren't part of the usual clientele. The parking lot was rapidly filling up with luxury cars, and the restaurant teemed with well-heeled customers. The service was generally attentive, but unfortunately, despite communicating in Italian, there were some obvious misunderstandings. This started with the aperitif: We were refused a Campari soda because it wasn't on the menu. All the ingredients were available – it would have been easy to fulfill our request. The biggest discrepancies, however, occurred with the food: The adults had ordered appetizers, while the children were supposed to receive their main courses at the same time to avoid waiting. Instead, all the main courses arrived together, and the appetizers arrived shortly after. When we asked, we received only the brief explanation: "The pizzaiolo is faster than the kitchen." Such miscoordination simply cannot happen, regardless of who sets the pace in the kitchen! The pizza itself was a bit bland in taste, but the food was otherwise fine, and the portion sizes were appropriate for the kids. By the time we were finished, we clearly felt that our time was up. It seemed as if our satisfaction was secondary to the desire to generate the next sale.

24/05/2025: Small place and therefore not very crowded. Few tables and quite far from each other, which avoids having to hear the chatter of other guests. Very kind service and rather simple dishes, but very tasty. I would go back without a doubt.

19/05/2025: A small but fine restaurant. The dishes on offer not only sound good, they also taste excellent. The service was very attentive, and the ambiance was just what you'd expect from a good Italian restaurant. We'd be happy to return.

10/05/2025: nice restaurant, friendly staff, we had 2 first courses, one of which was not very tasty... free parking for 1 hour in front was convenient.

05/05/2025: The venue offers a splendid view of the lake and a nice area for outdoor dining. The food is quite good, with fish dishes as specialities. We ordered the guitar with lobster and it was fantastic, the desserts are also a must try (especially the tiramisu). But, the best part of the experience was the service; all the waiters and staff were fast, friendly and provided excellent customer service.

03/05/2025: The outdoor scenery is beautiful. The pasta with duck meat is particularly delicious. recommend.

02/06/2025: Authentic Italian food, very tasty, large and generous portions, prices are quite reasonable, highly recommended!

02/06/2025: According to the opening hours, this restaurant closes at 22:00. I was there at 21:15 attempting to order a pizza "to go" but an extremely rude and barely interested lady simply just said "no". She then mumbled an excuse that the kitchen is not working. Although I asked "how is this possible since there are tables still unserved in the restaurant?" she again said "no".

23/05/2025: Warm and welcoming environment, enchanting landscape and excellent cuisine with very interesting gluten-free proposals. The jewel in the crown: Bronte green pistachio ice cream.

20/05/2025: Really good pizzas with a special kind of dough. Light, thick, and crispy. Great and tasty variations. Beautiful view of Lake Garda. We'd gladly go back.

11/05/2025: Since we discovered it, La Rucola has quickly risen to the top of the list of our favorite restaurants/trattorias. Genuine and traditional dishes, welcoming atmosphere, you feel like you're at your mother's or grandmother's house (the kind who know how to cook). Special honorable mention for the homemade watermelon jam, to be enjoyed with ricotta or squacquerone. 😍 But it's really worth trying the whole menu at least once.

16/05/2025: The first time we were there everything was perfect. The food was very, very good. We had steak, macaroni, spagetti cabonara and red wine. At the second and third dinners too. The ambience and outdoor lighting is very nice there. When we came back to Sirmione after a year and visited the restaurant, we were very disappointed. We had our Havanese dogs (anti-allergic dogs without hair loss) at Baagi. A tall blonde waitress brought us to the table. She was very arrogant and had a nasty look at our dogs. During our first visit she was very nice and friendly. She couldn't speak German or English. Unfortunately, the food was no longer what we had a year ago. The steak was very greasy with far too much fat and bones. That was enough and it was a disappointing evening. So unfortunately it was the last time to be here. It's a shame, especially since we really liked the atmosphere. The macaroni was also delicious. Luckily we found two great restaurants in Sirmione and felt very comfortable there and the food was excellent.

03/06/2025: This is a very pleasant restaurant at the Northern edge of Sirmione where you can sit outside in the garden which stretches down to Lake Garda. Service is fast and friendly and the food is very good. We started with focaccia and followed it up with fish (my wife) and a chicken and rice dish for me, washed down with cold beer and followed by dessert. All was very good and served quickly. Recommended.

01/06/2025: With so much choice to eat in Sirmione, especially around the ferry terminal, you have to go further out from those restaurants to find this absolute gem of a restaurant. It's not that easy to find as you cannot see the tables and entrance from the main pedestrian walkway but persevere and you will be rewarded by not only excellent authentic Italian food but exceptional service too. We were only in Sirmione for 3 days but ate here 3 evenings as service and food were too good not to have. For me it's the little touches that make the difference. The waitress getting a blanket to put round my wife's shoulders as the evening chill set in when sat outside without asking (I didn't even notice she was cold, but she was!) Noticing the waiters and manager relaxed and smiling even on a busy evening with the other guests and even each other. Food was hot, very tasty and wait times were just right. No rush to leave the place and on one night the waitress suggested if we want to move inside a really good table has come available. So we said yes and she helped us 'relocate' to a lovely cozy table in the warmth. It was April and the evenings could get a little chilly. OverallI cannot rate this place highly. Every visit was as good as the last This place is not reliant on having the best frontage but you can get a table by the lake or choose to sit inside. They excel on food and service, perfect! Thank you for a wonderful experience

11/05/2025: Elegant place and far above most of the restaurants in Sirmione. Everything is of very good quality, from the bread basket to the most elaborate dishes. The risotto is a 10. The tiramisu stands out for its ingenious presentation. More than recommended place.

04/05/2025: The perfect place for dinner. We stopped here by chance on a Friday night as they had good vegetarian options (didn’t manage to take photos of unfortunately) which is hard to find in this area and wow the food was incredible. The service was professional and friendly. The atmosphere was great not too crowded but busy enough for a lovely vibe. We loved it so much we went back the following evening. This was a lucky find and would highly recommend to anyone who wants top notch food. The price was higher than most places in area but the food, wine & service was worth every bit spent. If you love good quality food the is the place to go.

30/05/2025: A very, very good restaurant! Sirmione is touristy, and we were disappointed by restaurants that didn't live up to Italian gastronomy until we discovered Il Girasole, which offers divine cuisine! We fell in love with the shrimp ravioloni with champagne butter and caviar sauce And the cacio pepe spaghetti with black truffle As well as the octopus Thank you

30/05/2025: A very excellent restaurant (thanks Memo for the excellent service). Usually during busy times they tell you the wait will take half an hour to an hour, but in reality it takes 10 minutes and you're in.

05/05/2025: We had dinner 3 times here and it was fantastic. Great service and great food. Also i want to note that the first night they didn't have something we wanted (courgette flowers) and the staff ordered it for tomorrow! Something that not many places will do for you. Everything we tasted was perfect!

04/05/2025: I had to give 3 stars to the service because the waiter with the young brown blue shirt had forgotten to deliver our order, fantastic and delicious food and pizza, unique classy environment
