18/08/2024: Location: nel centro di Gargnano è possibile stare nel grazioso e tranquillo vicolo in pietra al coperto, con squarcio di vista sul lago, o nello spazioso e carino spazio interno climatizzato con finestre sul lago. Ambienti puliti e curati. Mise en place minimale. Menu: ottimi piatti di qualità e gusto. Il pesce di lago la fa da padrona x gusto e creatività. Menù con una buona scelta che garantisce la freschezza delle portate. Servizio: cordiale, disponibile ed attento. da parte di tutto lo staff. Prezzo: leggermente superiore alla media, ma consono alla qualità di quanto offerto. Soddisfatti da tornare.

26/08/2024: Beautiful hotel with a unique pool and roof terrace. The pool was very nice and very comfortable. Everything in the hotel is very modern and clean, we felt very comfortable. The hosts are very nice and accommodating. You have a very nice view from the roof terrace. The attached restaurant is also good. The breakfast was also okay, you order from a menu with not much choice, but enough. The only thing that wasn't great was that our room was very, very small and there was hardly any space. All in all, it was definitely worth it and it's great in terms of price-performance ratio! Happy to come back!

23/08/2024: We've been coming here since 2006 and have never been disappointed. Always in a good mood, nice reception, good service. The food is always very good. I can really only recommend the place. Many thanks also to the boss and the entire team.

01/09/2024: Siamo passati davanti per caso durante una passeggiata e dopo aver avuto conferma dalle recensioni abbiamo deciso di provarlo: cibo a base di pesce veramente buono e tempi di attesa adeguati. Anche il dolce era molto buono. Unica pecca la posizione del tavolo nonostante la prenotazione: eravamo nell'unico angolo semi chiuso e senza ventilatore, per cui il caldo non ha permesso di godere al 100% della serata.

14/08/2024: Ciao Riccardo! I was with you for lunch on Friday, July 9, 2024. I'm writing this review for two reasons: 1) the food was 1/3 fantastic, 1/3 very good, 1/3 not good, or very room for improvement. If you would like more detailed information about my review - please contact me. 2) the main reason for my review is YOU! I drove 650km by car that day to eat at your place. I was at your place at 11:45 a.m., the gate to the parking lot was open, I parked and waited until it was 12:30 p.m. At 12:00 a man came (as it turned out later: YOU!!) and said several times: “I have to clean here, this my job, please go”!!!!!!! I didn't want to argue with the naughty gardener... YOU have me and my wife: - as a booked guest who just waited quietly KICKED OUT!! - stupidly lied - and the lowest level of hospitality undercut. That would be: A guest Waiting quietly in the midday sun, a place and offer a glass of water! You are a decorated chef and I respect you for that. When it comes to manners and hospitality, you should definitely learn a few things. 02/09/2024: The rating is of course subjective because I found it relaxing and nice there. Of course, the quality of the dishes doesn't reach the Michelin level - but they are nice and tasty. We sat outside on the terrace at a table beautifully set with a tablecloth and were served as we should be. The bad thing is that you simply can't make a reservation. No opentable or anything like that. Calling after 6 p.m. is encouraged. English or Italian is required. But then it worked. The tartare of the appetizer was very fine. The greeting from the kitchen, a warm cake with bacon and good stuff. Then there is the polenta on the menu three times over, 1x with mushrooms, 1x tomato, 1x cheese. Can be recommended. The small square where the trattoria is located is also nice. You have to go back there.

31/08/2024: I think it's a family place, off the beaten track, outside the center of Sirmione, but very close. We passed the grades and they were adequate. Cool atmosphere. Friendly service. Delicious food. But the prices are higher. On average, over EUR 30 per person. I definitely recommend it

26/08/2024: We had booked and confirmed a table directly by the lake for a special occasion. When we were there, we were told that this was probably not possible. Regardless of the fact that we were then allowed to provide first aid without any thanks because a guest had fainted, we were punished with non-observance the whole evening. The cuisine is mediocre and the service is poor. One waiter was friendly and I would like to emphasize that. My wife and I are both doctors and only the waiter thanked me for the emergency intervention. Unfortunately, the boss was too busy hanging around the “important guests”. There was no sign of the sister with whom I made the reservation until the cashier. Definitely the last time for us.

12/08/2024: Delicious! we tasted the duck with ibiscus and the beef with summer truffle without any regrets! Even the homemade rolls are good. Very warm welcome from the waiters. (tips: on the terrace don't hesitate to ask them for cushions because we sit very low).

11/08/2024: Fantastic restaurant, excellent and delicious dishes, quality raw materials. We took the octopus and it was really good, the pumpkin tortelli with truffle balanced in flavor and delicate. The courteous and kind staff was the icing on the cake. We will definitely be back

11/07/2024: In a chorus of enthusiastic reviews I write mine. We were in this place a short time ago, we ordered an appetizer and two first courses, excellent cured meats, nothing to complain about, my dish which instead consisted of an aubergine cooked at a low temperature which, alas, turned out to be very watery, not very tasty, not up to the rest of the menu, but so far, it can happen, perhaps the chef created this vegetarian option that wasn't "in his range" and so a very unsuccessful dish came out; what shouldn't happen is the very imprecise service, the cutlery for those who work in a restaurant of this level (and generally in all public places) should not be placed haphazardly but in the right order: fork, knife with blade facing towards the plate and then spoon. There is, in my opinion, no other way to set the table, or rather, if you then set the table at random you should also expect a review that doesn't shine...

14/08/2024: Quando si dice una bella cena, in un bel posto ecco quello che vi presenta l’Antica Osteria del Contrabbandiere. Piatti ricercati, tutto con quel guizzo di sentimento che li rende unici rispetto a molti altri. Qualità delle materie prime molto elevata , sapori e ottimo bilanciamento degli ingredienti. Cosa volere di più? Beh proprio niente. Ottimo
