We ate at Osteria Antico and it ended up being one of the best meals we’ve had. No one recommended it to us, we just found it randomly, which makes it even better. The place itself is very simple, nothing fancy, but the food is incredible. It really feels like eating at your nonna’s. We shared three pasta dishes to start and every single one was amazing. The pasta was so soft it literally melted in our mouths. Honestly some of the best pasta we’ve had anywhere in Italy, even compared to top restaurants around Lake Garda and Italy! For the main we had the pork cheek and it was unbelievably tender, we didn’t even need a knife. Just perfect. The crème brûlée for dessert was also a winner. Prices are surprisingly low for this level of food, so the value is amazing.

It's really easy to review this restaurant: a discovery worth sharing and recommending to all travelers heading to the Vittoriale. The atmosphere is elegant and refined, yet welcoming and intimate. The cuisine is excellent; every dish is a little surprise. Special praise goes to the maître d'—whose name, unfortunately, I don't remember—who was extremely courteous and attentive to our tastes, so much so that we relied on him to help us choose the dishes to try. Highly recommended and definitely recommended. We'll definitely be back!
