10/01/2026: A small trattoria in the center of Gorizia. A very refined, rustic, and homely atmosphere. The owners are extremely friendly and helpful. Traditional food, tasty and well-prepared with excellent ingredients. A must-see if you're in the city, but also worth a detour if you're in the surrounding area. I'll definitely be back!
07/01/2026: A private and welcoming atmosphere, with friendly and professional staff and excellent cuisine. It's definitely worth stopping by to discover some traditional recipes, perhaps featuring the splendid and delicious "rosa di gorizia," a local variety of radicchio.

31/12/2025: Excellent value. The menu changes weekly based on what the manager finds fresh, with great attention to the ingredients. Simple yet delicious dishes, traditional Friulian cuisine complemented by high-quality grilled dishes, including unusual cuts. Grilled meats are a specialty, with a special mention for the picanha. Good wines by the glass. Highly recommended!

The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, the service is friendly, and the price/quality ratio is excellent for this price range. 20/01/2026: A charming restaurant right in the city center, offering meat and fish dishes, plus a couple of vegetarian options. Everything was delicious, and the waiter was incredibly kind and friendly (plus the prices are fair). I highly recommend it and will definitely be back!

Reservations are recommended, especially on weekends.
The selection of fresh and tasty dishes includes well-balanced seafood. The dishes are beautifully presented, too.
The wine list is good.
A bit crowded in the dining room, but the restaurant was fully booked.

02/01/2026: A somewhat pretentious restaurant in terms of quality/price… some things were tasty, like the eggplant meatballs and the chicken… others not so much, the gnocchi with goulash and guanciale (hard, the sauce was very paprika-heavy, and I doubt the guanciale was real)… the chicken rice was hard (although I don't know if that's how the variety they use here is supposed to be, but it wasn't to my liking). The service was rather inattentive and bland… The atmosphere is excellent, very well decorated and warm, and pets are allowed. The quality-price ratio is excessive for what it tries to be but can't deliver.
30/12/2025: We stopped for lunch today at this lovely place. We had tartare (good but spicy, with no indication of the spicy setting), fuzi (the sauce was good, but the pasta was undercooked), and burnt baked potatoes. It's a real shame, because the waitress was kind and the place was really cozy.

18/01/2026: We were a group of 8 people. We didn't have a reservation and it was a Saturday night. Even though we didn't have a reservation, they told us to come back in an hour and we got a table. The staff is very friendly, the food is fantastic!!! We had cold appetizers, i.e. prosciutto, seafood as a hot appetizer and then we went for steaks which I definitely recommend, despite the fact that they are available everywhere. They were really top notch here. All the food was excellent. The ambiance is authentic and relaxed which suited us..
15/01/2026: What can I say? A place as beautiful as the museum and as delicious as few others! An experience with frontier restaurants like this has left me with wonderful memories and pleasure for the high professionalism and quality. The polenta and mushroom appetizer and then Hungarian guliasch with half a red wine were more than enough to fill me up, but next time I'll have 750 wine to relax better. The baked cheesecake was also good, although I was hoping for an apple pie or strudel, etc. Until next time, in short. Well done. Thanks.

27/12/2025: We stopped by chance while looking for a possible lunch stop on the way to Trieste. We had a wonderful time. All the dishes were excellent, from fish to meat, and a good value. The lady serving us was incredibly kind, rushing around the place the whole time but never losing her smile. For those coming from Milan, I'd say it's priceless.

10/01/2026: Unfortunately, we weren't able to eat at this restaurant because the owner refused our reservation, having a dog and another dog already there with other guests. Regardless of the reason for refusing our table (which may be reasonable), the owner was very rude in sending us away, saying they had enough problems and didn't want any more. It's a shame, we would have loved to eat here.
04/01/2026: Excellent service and excellent products (considering that there are two people doing everything, at least when I went).
Generous portions and super tasty dishes.

19/01/2026: I stayed in Trieste for a weekend at the end of December. I was impressed by this restaurant, which I went for lunch and then returned for dinner. The menu offered a wide selection of carefully prepared dishes. I tried the "cauldron di mare" (seawater boiler); I still remember the flavor of those shrimp, the best I've ever tasted for freshness and quality. Spaghetti allo scoglio (seafood spaghetti), a super-abundant and delicious dish, flavorful yet delicate. The cod, the fried calamari.... the fish menu was a total hit! The table service was very friendly and efficient. Attilio was quick to serve, attentive, and helpful. The quality-price ratio was excellent. I will definitely choose this restaurant when I return to Trieste.
10/01/2026: We went to eat at the pop-up restaurant just around the corner, Skaramanzia, and it's still the same owners. We'd read that you could get their best sellers, and we wanted to try both the ravioli and the seafood. In the end, we ordered these two starters and also made some different appetizers by mixing the two menus. Wow! My partner and I were thrilled and have already booked for next week, when we're bringing more friends! Well done, guys, and see you very soon.
