05/05/2025: We've been coming to this restaurant for over 30 years - usually at the end of a few weeks stay in this lovely part of Italy. The food is always perfect. Today we had a variety of starters - salumi misti (Terremorto di Nebbia), vellutata di asparagi and flan di zucchine. This was followed by guanchialino di maiale and roasted faroana alla creta. We finished with semifreddo al torroncino and tarte tartin di mele. The service is relaxed and friendly, the restaurant itself has timeless charm and a lovely ambience. Hope we can keep returning to enjoy this very special restaurant.

30/03/2025: Se due anni fa erano stati i fuori menù a fare la differenza, questa volta è il modo in cui i fuori menù sono stati esposti a farla ma in negativo! Se i fuori menù sono elencati a mitraglia, e ti vengono richiesti forse bisognerebbe dare il tempo a chi deve scegliere di...scegliere! Non essendo sul menù, che puoi leggere e rileggere forse ci vuole un attimo di pazienza e di passione nel leggerli e presentarli. Le portate alzerebbero la media, ma ancora una volta è il servizio a farla cadere. Se mangio spaghettoni con gamberi e zafferano e dopo ho il polpo come secondo, non mi spiacerebbe mangiare il polpo con la forchetta pulita, quindi la lascio nel piatto. Se la cameriera mi chiede di toglierla per riusarla, mi spiace ma ha sbagliato mestiere. Piccola nota negativa anche sul vino. Il bianco, se non è tenuto in cantinetta andrebbe portato alla temperatura corretta prima di servirlo, però se si porta in tavola caldo significa che non è conservato al meglio. Mi auguro che questo non succeda anche con vini di alta fascia. Il nostro era un Sorriso di Cielo, direi un buon bianco da pasto...solo se servito fresco. Peccato, ne avremmo bevuto una seconda bottiglia, ma tanto per l'acqua così come per il vino nessuno ci ha chiesto se ne volessimo ancora. Ci riproveremo...ma non presto! Peccato!

19/05/2025: Nice place in the center to try at least once in Piacenza. Small but as they say in the small barrel there is good wine. From appetizers to dessert everything is delicious. The highlight in my opinion is the risotto with culatello and toasted almonds.

18/05/2025: Estábamos listos para el almuerzo y tuvimos la suerte de estar cerca de la Osteria. Me encantó el pulpo a la parrilla con guisantes y crema de jengibre - - quiero volver a Piacenza solo para este plato de polpo. ¡Yum! Nuestros primi fueron los ñoquis con ragu de pato... excelente. Tuve que seguir con pechuga de pato y salsa de mango, junto con lubina. Todo estaba delicioso. Lugar encantador para disfrutar de una excelente comida.

25/05/2025: Abbiamo chiamato all'ultimo minuto un venerdì sera, ma ci hanno comunque accolto. Cena ottima, fritto misto e pesce spada squisiti. E per concludere una pastiera deliziosa. Servizio rapido, cortese e professionale. Senza parlare dei gentilissimi proprietari, ci hanno trattato come se fossimo di famiglia. Consigliatissimo!

13/05/2025: The expectation was high because almost all the reviews I read were positive, but... HELP! I went with my family on a Sunday for lunch. The day before I called to book and the reservation was technically granted... over the phone I was not made aware of anything!!! Too bad that when we arrived, at the agreed time, the gentleman who welcomed us, despite the reservation, told us that we would have a short wait because the tables were all occupied.... WHAT?! That's not correct, over the phone they should have said that they don't accept reservations, but evidently the desire for profit comes before fairness towards customers! After waiting for 15/20 minutes, we were crammed into a small table, still to be cleared, attached to another table with other diners (and honestly we didn't expect this from a Sunday family lunch)! By the way, there were few families.... the place was full of workers/laborers: nothing bad, but also because the tables were all very close together (practically attached) and all full... there was such a confusion that it was practically impossible to chat among ourselves! The menu is very vast.... many varieties of meat (wild boar, rabbit, chicken, pork, ...), fish, Piacenza dishes, ..... and this must always ring a bell; we had gone to eat fish! Great variety of fish too... we opted for a mixed appetizer, spaghetti with clams and fried shrimp and calamari: unfortunately poor quality!!! The appetizer was a composition of preparations that were unfortunately already ready: octopus salad, anchovies and another fish (which not even the waitress could tell us what it was) in vinegar, lots of vinegar, ... scallops au gratin (really bad), mussels, shrimp hidden in an exaggerated quantity of a poor quality cocktail sauce and 2 battered slices (perhaps the only thing prepared by them). The spaghetti with clams were greasy and tasteless and the fried food ..... heavy, prepared, most likely, in a poor quality oil and already used who knows how many times!!! All this, in an environment where cleanliness is scary.... the containers of oil, vinegar, pepper and salt brought to the table were greasy and encrusted, probably never washed!!! The staff, however, was adequate. Disappointing experience that I do not recommend!

The raw materials are exceptional and very fresh, enhanced by a cuisine that respects and enhances the flavors with great skill. Each dish was a discovery of taste and quality. The environment is cared for down to the smallest detail, elegant but welcoming, perfect for a special evening. The staff was efficient, attentive and professional, always ready to satisfy every request with a smile. A restaurant that truly deserves top marks! We will definitely be back.

19/04/2025: Last night I had dinner in this welcoming restaurant, the fish was excellent as was the service, the price was right. Another thing I really appreciated when I went out my clothes didn't smell like I had been in the kitchen

11/04/2025: Volevo complimentarmi con il proprietario del ristorante, il signor Ivo, e con tutto il personale. In questi giorni ho avuto la fortuna di poter pranzare tre volte in questi giorni, la qualità del cibo è eccelsa.. conosco bene la qualità dei salumi essendo di radici piacentine , per cui spendo una lode per i primi … ottimi anche con delle varianti alla tradizione, ma anche la carne e le verdure dell’orto del proprietario sono da provare. Ottimi i dolci, la sbrisolona con lo zabaione è da applausi. Non dimentichiamo il loro vino. Io prediligo il rosso . Il digestivo , o nocino o bargnolino non è da dimenticare alla fine. Complimenti per la professionalità ed educazione del proprietario. Grazie
