11/03/2024: The place itself is very beautiful and welcoming, especially the warm lights which give that effect of serenity. The menu is quite varied but we ordered a bacchus platter for 15 euros. The platter is presented with different types of cured meats but unfortunately with only 1 type of cheese and only 1 jam sauce...in fact, as you can see in the photo, what might look like cheese is nothing more than winter melon...They then served us some Spanish beans in sauce but here I would say that nothing is right... I would have preferred some local specialties... the Ascoli olives ok... the prosecco was good but the bottle is better for you... I would say that a little something on the menu is worthy revisit but deserves four stars.

13/02/2024: If you want the best you have to go here. You will be able to eat typical products and be advised in the best way. The atmosphere is beautiful. Wide choice of wines. You can find it in the center during the walk.

03/04/2024: Returned after years but I am saddened to note that they have fallen to the bottom. Starting from the waiters who give the impression of being there for fun. As for the meat, it seemed to be in oil, clearly of low quality, too bad, it really deserves it once.

29/03/2024: We took two portions of Ascoli olives (on the menu it said "10 pieces €6") in theory it should have been 20! Because 10+10=20 NOT 16! This thing bothered us because we paid 20 nn for 16 olives! The taste could be improved, we have eaten better ones!!!

07/04/2024: Only for lovers of locally caught fish. Informal environment but with great attention to detail. We had dinner with a tasting menu at an affordable price. Everything was excellent from the four starters to the seafood first and second courses with a choice of three types. Very friendly staff and owner. Advised. Book early, it's always full. We will be back.

23/01/2024: Historic venue located in the heart of the upper town of San Benedetto del Tronto, right in the square where the majestic and ancient tower of the old seaside village stands. The Pub has now been an institution for more than 50 years, a place that, not surprisingly, has been awarded the label of "historic place of the Marche". the spirit of the Torrione has remained unchanged, a place to come and return, where to meet and find oneself. The variety of beers on tap is excellent with an alternative proposal from a brewery in our area. Then we want to talk about the legendary complete Pastrami, a hot sandwich that you can only taste here, spiced pastrami with melted cheese, tomato and Bernese sauce, a pleasure for the palate. Very helpful and kind staff, concise and clear menu, speed of service, and in the winter season a lit fireplace that creates a warm and very welcoming atmosphere, a good price are the strong points that have made this pub a point for more than 50 years of references for everyone.. Well done

11/01/2024: A delightful place to get your morning coffee. The barista and scene inside the cafe is friendly and lively. The coffee is very good and the choice of different flavoured cream fill donuts and croissants are so fresh and yummy.

10/03/2024: Yesterday...absolutely by chance...and moreover almost at the end...my friend Marina and I landed among the smells of Zona Franca...what can I say...the waiter whose name we don't know with an open smile he didn't make us feel like "latecomers" which in fact we were... he immediately put us at ease by presenting us without haste with the dishes available.... I... I have no words to describe the "flavors" that have embraced us, taste, mind and emotions..no..it's not possible...I can only say that I "brought home" a mental laboratory and that this morning pushed me to elaborate on the lunch just now... We will definitely return...to the Zona Franca...but we will ask to meet the chef because...whoever prepares those "dishes" so expertly puts his whole heart into it..."cooking is an act of love" says the protagonist of a famous film...and we we want to see the face that belongs to someone who was able to surprise our taste buds and our emotions...thank you for everything and thanks to the young waiter who already knows how to do his job like a true professional

07/01/2024: Today for lunch I had this pleasant surprise, I was satisfied with the food, service and appearance of the dining room. The variety of dishes and wines is excellent. The service is very good, the prices are adequate for the quality of the food. They are not common dishes but with simple and genuine products the chef manages to create superior quality cuisine. If you are looking for typical Piceno dishes, for example the tray with loin, ham and salami, this is not where you should eat. Advised.

16/03/2024: Sinceramente, non mi é sembrato nulla di così eccezionale come molti scrivono. Il servizio se pur molto gentili é un po' carente . In sala c'è solo una signora che ovviamente non può star dietro a tutti e tutto il sabato sera almeno! L'antipasto non mi ha soddisfatto c'è di miglior qualità, la quantità risicata. Alcuni piatti non sono presentati affatto; il roastbeef all'inglese é un piatto freddo senza alcun condimento, praticamente diverse fette sottili di manzo...nulla più! Io ho sbagliato a non chiedere e loro hanno sbagliato a non dire come viene servito. Non é un piatto caldo con quel classico seughetto che accompagna solitamente questo piatto. Ognuno la sua ricetta...però che diamine da un ristoratore esperto come qui , mi sarei aspettato molto ma molto di più! La scamorza al forno orrenda a mio parere gommosa insapore e cmq €12 mi sembra un esagerazione. I biscottini ottimi , la zuppa inglese da rivedere , bassa e la crema al cioccolato anemica. Mi dispiace dire questo...però mi sono stancata di questo genere di ristorazione. Mi piacerebbe pagare per la qualità vera, la quantità e l'attenzione alla sala . Vediamo la risposta !

01/04/2024: Excellent appetizer tasting menu of fresh raw and cooked fish. Lots of superlative dishes! Excellent wine list. Sailor's coffee and delicious cantucci. Excellent service. Courteous and friendly owners. Excellent value for money. Highly recommended.

27/03/2024: Experience not to be repeated. The owner of the restaurant almost forced us to take all the appetizers. It seemed like a race against time, one dish after another without respite, to mask the scarcity of each individual course. We told the waitress that the portions were not for seven people, like we were, and in response we were told that the dishes were prepared in the kitchen regardless of the people sitting at the table! We still have hope then ordered two samples of first courses, one of which, due to the aforementioned rush, arrived while we were still eating the starters. Obviously we sent it back as we couldn't eat it cold and, listen, it came back to the table HEATED as specified by the chef, who joined us at the table to highlight his correctness in telling us this openly!!! The bill was made without a formal detailed receipt and therefore for an appetizer and two tastings of first courses (one of which was heated) we paid the modest sum of 70 euros. There is nothing else to add.

26/03/2024: I organized my graduation dinner here. Historic San Benedetto place with truly fantastic food, pleasant atmosphere, helpful and patient staff (we made quite a bit of mess, let's say we "livened up" the place). Advised!!

07/04/2024: I haven't been in a while and I regret it. Sigismondo as always is an excellent host, he never lacks competence and kindness. The menu we chose was excellent and the four of us were very satisfied. Each course is detailed and details are explained in detail when requested. Pairing with an excellent bottle. 04/04/2024: Enchanting location, relaxing and quiet, exquisite, kind and welcoming staff, excellent food with contrasting flavors between sweet and savory... even the bread, the breadsticks, the cacciaannanz and the cheese rolls, all home-produced, really good . Definitely worth repeating and recommending ❤️
