30/03/2026: I went for dinner with my wife, relying on the restaurant's good reviews. I must say they were all positively confirmed. The menu, featuring local specialties, isn't overly extensive, which—I should point out—is always an added bonus for me (I'm wary of menus that last for pages), but it still offers a rich and varied selection. From appetizers to dessert, the dishes are interesting and beautifully presented. Specifically, we ordered two appetizers: cheese and egg balls (obligatory for mopping up the sauce) and golden, fried artichoke segments (good, more "ordinary"). Then I chose a first course, vincisgrassi, which were very interesting, first of all because instead of puff pastry, the chef chose crepes, and then a rich but balanced "filling." My wife, on the other hand, chose a second course, a very well-made stew with a hint of citrus (orange?) that was never overpowering but that gave a note of acidity and freshness to an otherwise complex dish. Finally, a dessert, donuts with cooked wine. We then accompanied the meal with a local red wine. The restaurant was small and welcoming, with very attentive and attentive service from the host and his wife, and the atmosphere, reminiscent of a wholesome old-fashioned (in the best sense of the word) but with modern touches, was very pleasant. I should also add that despite it being full, the acoustics were good and The soundproofing allowed us to chat without being disturbed by other tables. The price, finally, was extremely reasonable at less than €70.00 for two, making it highly recommended for a quality stop in Ascoli Piceno.

06/04/2026: A great experience with excellent food. We had no problem accommodating guests with intolerances, so much so that it's the first thing they ask for when they sit down. The gluten-free Ascoli olives were wonderful, as were the mutton and Angus arrosticini, which were never so good. The gluten-free and lactose-free tiramisu was also special. This will definitely remain a point of reference for us in Ascoli Piceno.

21/03/2026: I hadn't been back to the Locanda for a while, and I must say with immense pleasure that I had a fantastic meal. A selection of superb appetizers, especially the caponata (which isn't as good as it used to be in Sicily), and for the main course, a fantastic peppered fillet steak. My heartfelt compliments, the chef confirms his place among the best in Ascoli Piceno. Go there!

10/04/2026: Quanto Basta is a charming and welcoming place in the alleys of downtown Ascoli Piceno. The rustic decor, in the warmest sense of the word, makes you feel right at home. We ordered delicious fried olives and cremini, both artisanal and fried to perfection. The grilled vegetables were well seasoned, and the cured meats were top-quality, delicious, and melt-in-your-mouth. The first course of artichokes, pecorino cheese, and super-crispy guanciale was incredibly light, tasty, and flavorful. The sliced ​​beef and lamb were cooked to perfection, juicy, delicious, and well-seasoned—truly exceptional (you could tell the meat was fresh and top-quality). The desserts were delicious, especially the local strawberries. The value for money was 10 out of 10. The owner, with great professionalism and a genuine smile, welcomed us warmly. With their friendly and ironic approach, they made us feel at ease and enlivened the evening with a few laughs.
