07/08/2024: Excellent discovery in Gallarate, quiet environment and very good food. We ate a sandwich and some bruschetta, as well as drinking some draft beers. Overall, everything was very satisfactory, the external environment was well kept and welcoming. only flaw: the tartare was missing ;(.. we'll be back to try it :) I advise

23/08/2024: Chef Ilario ha la fisicità della riverenza, ed il cuore dell'informalità. Vi accoglie nel suo villino lombardo come portiere di un mondo perduto, come un ospite che apre le porte di casa. L'abitudine sta nelle parole, nelle strette di mano, negli sguardi di intesa. La sua visita ai tavoli è una complice provocazione, così come la sua cucina, che affonda nell’infanzia, e riemerge in un gioco di rivisitazioni. Chef Ilario conosceva bene il percorso da fare, e ci è arrivato da tempo: il sudore, le mani sporche, i luoghi visitati sono la concretezza della sua vita, e si svelano nel via vai del tavolo, tra profumi, delizie e contemporaneità. Cavallo di battaglia è la ricreazione dei dolci, sorpresa a cui lasciare un po' di spazio visivo e gustativo. Da provare.

21/08/2024: Finalmente siamo dal mitico Vinciguerrra! Serata del 20 Agosto, anniversario di mia moglie. Abbiamo scelto il menu da 4 portate, carne. Un po' strano , a sorpresa; pre antipasto, piattini semplici , ma gustosi, presentati da Mr.Ilario. Antipasti a piccole dosi, con pancetta locale , verdure e formaggi, elaborati e ..buoni. Un primo di spaghetti ingannevole come quantita', superbo; qui si vede la qualita' della pasta, al dente perfetto, pomodori semplici e interno dl pesto. Ottimo. Ero gia' quasi accoffato, quando e' arrivato l'arrosto di maiale con verdure ....super..! Prima del dolce, scenografia con foglie di lauro immerse in acqua e limone, che Mr. Ilario ha incendiato con una piccola cortina fumogena e un gran profumo. E poi i dolci, tutti fantastici, incluso il minibaba e Oro di Napoli. Insomma , contenti e soddisfatti della serata, trascorsa piacevolmente . Ci torneremo, magari piu avanti, con delle portate autunnali o invernali. Certo, i prezzi non sono modesti, ma la qualita' il servizio e l'atmosfera devono essere correlati.

24/11/2024: 4 of us were there on a Saturday evening, the place was not full, simple, like a high-class trattoria, without having consulted the menu already with water (tapped) we had spent €4 each (cover charge €3.20 with homemade breadsticks, excessive) varied menu without a precise line (first and second courses of fish, meat, even pizza) almost all good with small (gourmet restaurant type) and expensive portions, extensive and out of scale wine list, a wine to 5/6€ at the supermarket proposed at 24€, so 4 dishes, 2 desserts and wine cost very high and still hungry when you leave...good service though!

28/08/2024: Fantastic dinner from the welcome to the dessert, passing from the appetizer to the risotto to continue with the second course and finally the dessert! I also taste some snails bourguignonne. Excellent. The welcome glass is also excellent.

11/08/2024: Ristorante con pochi tavoli e con una gestione informale ma molto rapida e gentile. Piatti a base di carne di ottima qualità cucinata in modo semplice ma molto buona. Antipasti, primi e secondi tutti ottimi. Dolci fatti in casa. Prezzi ottimi. Da consigliare

15/12/2024: Warm welcome, they treated us as if we were family. At the end of dinner they gave us a bracelet with our Chinese Zodiac sign. Excellent quality food, tuna and salmon melted in your mouth. Starred cuisine dishes, honest price. I'm already booking to go back. Sublime experience.

I recommend this place sincerely. I often buy take-out sushi at this restaurant and eat there from time to time. The food is excellent and the portions are generous. 22/11/2024: Sono sempre molto critico sulla ristorazione gallaratese, perché spesso i prezzi non sono giustificati dalla qualità dei piatti. Al Wood, in diverse occasioni, a pranzo, a cena e anche in occasione di una festa privata, ho sempre apprezzato sia il servizio che i piatti, molto curati anche in occasione del menu del pranzo.

13/10/2024: Congratulations to Andrea who is a perfect host, polite and professional. Then there's Lara, who you don't see right away, but who enchants you with her dishes. Excellent experience, absolutely worth trying. Well done!

28/11/2024: A recent personal discovery. Despite the little proximity from home we do not miss opportunities for its excellent products. We prefer to give up rather than go somewhere else. The pizza with stone-ground flour is fantastic.

13/08/2024: Raw pizza in the center. Good ingredients, ok service. Nice place especially outside, shame about the really uncomfortable metal chairs and tables. High prices, 13.50 for a margherita with ricotta on the top.

04/07/2024: Incredible, the first time I come to Italy and I fell in love with this wonderful place.

31/10/2024: Small place in the pedestrian center of Gallarate. The environment is pleasant, the beers offered are good and the choice of appetizers for the aperitif is good. As more substantial food they mainly offer pinsas with interesting fillings. I'll be back!

15/10/2024: Barley is home! Extremely friendly environment, EXCELLENT BEERS always new, constantly evolving cuisine that can satisfy all palates. More than highly recommended!

10/12/2024: I only ate cooked Chinese dishes, not sushi, because I don't like it. Small portions that allow you to taste many different dishes, perfect for me like this. Special atmosphere and fast and effective service. Many small rooms that make the environment less noisy and for me more pleasant. I've already been back several times.

03/12/2024: I go there very often, it's a very quiet environment, the staff is friendly and competent, it's a shame about the very low limit of courses (7 per person) and then 10 minutes in which you can't order anything, but apart from that it's really a in the environment!!

10/11/2024: Fantastic restaurant...small, welcoming with impeccable service!! Very high quality food and refined wines, we will definitely return.
