21/01/2025: Discovered by chance by searching on Google Maps, we were pleasantly surprised by the varied and particular menu, all based on fish. High price, a dinner for 2, 1 crudité starter + 1 first course and 1 second course with 2 glasses of wine - 180 euros, but it was all very good.

We opted for a fish menu where the fish was really fresh and delicious starting from the appetizer and finishing at the end with the dessert, pistachio mousse, a fairy tale! Absolutely worth trying now!

19/02/2025: I want to be honest, we went to eat and ordered a Milanese risotto with osso bucco and it was good, we also ordered "elephant's ear with spring", I'll start by saying I'm allergic to rocket both when in contact with and ingested, I have an allergic reaction. And practically on the plate there was rocket and cherry tomatoes, the term "spring style" being the first time and not even being from the area, I didn't know what it meant, it's not specified on the menu. My boyfriend had asked to make it again but there was an argument between him and a waiter. The dish was brought back to me without rocket but on the way home I had a reaction of both tingling and swelling in my throat, they said it would take a while to make it again but instead the same dish was brought back to me, I understood it was the same also from the shape. However, I also thank the Lady's kindness for the desserts, but I'm sorry to say that the waiter who treated us like this without even coming at us was completely wrong, the food was in contact with the rocket and I had swelling for about 3 hours, so the behavior he had towards a risky customer was disrespectful and rude. I hope there are no other rude and vulgar behaviors in front of customers who are always right. I know that catering is difficult but I repeat, the CUSTOMER IS RIGHT, as long as you speak politely.

13/01/2025: We went for lunch yesterday, first time and I must say it won't be the last, the food was very good (super Milanese risotto), everything was good; as for the service, immediately very attentive and friendly; as for the small, intimate and welcoming environment! Recommended and above all an important interaction, there is a nice large car park nearby!

11/01/2025: Pizza e tutte le pietanze molto buone. Materie prime di buona qualità. Parcheggio comodissimo. Sala ampia. Servizio un po’ confuso ma molto molto gentile e simpatico. Era sabato sera, un po’ di distrazione e’ ammissibile. Prezzi bassi ma qualità più alta. Consigliato.

16/01/2025: It's not the usual Piadina!! Quality ingredients, craftsmanship, passion all seasoned with the kindness of the girls, young and lively environment! Also noteworthy is the desserts, biscuits, croissants and cakes, all really excellent!! If you're on a diet, don't worry, I've noticed several options on the menu to stay lighter but still tasteful.

14/01/2025: Unfortunately it is not possible to give zero stars, otherwise the rating would have been below zero. Same place as before, same staff who work there. Only change of management. Below is what happened: Last Thursday at around 2.00pm (payment time shown on the receipt at 2.14pm) I took the "Vienna" piadina to take away, explicitly asking to remove the sauce. The girl who takes the order clearly tells her colleague who takes care of the preparation not to add the sauce. When consumed, starting to eat, the piadina was full of sauce. I had to stop immediately, as I am allergic to some ingredients in that sauce. Result: I immediately had to take antihistamine and cortisone in the hope that anaphylactic shock would not be triggered. Finding myself still in the vicinity of the piadina shop, I return to report what had happened to the person who "seemed to be" the manager/manager. Given the seriousness of the circumstance, one would have expected an apology, or at least information about the state of health or how to remedy the mistake. Instead it seemed to have "fallen from the sky" and the only thing that was done was to go and check the payment receipts. I showed the photo of both the piadina full of sauce and the receipt (which was also smeared, as part of the condiment had also leaked out, staining the bag). Moral of the story: I had to resort to drug therapy, I had to throw everything away, I had to cancel an important appointment I had immediately afterwards, since I couldn't leave in case an anaphylactic reaction was triggered despite the cortisone. There was great superficiality and negligence on the part of those responsible for preparing the piadine. There can be a mistake, you are human, but the way to remedy it qualifies the seriousness or otherwise of the staff and the place; especially when working with foods that are prepared for people and for which you are responsible! If these are the conditions under the new management and a good day starts in the morning, you are off to a very, very, very bad start.

03/10/2024: Very nice place, with both closed and open terrace. Nice managers. The food is superb.

08/07/2024: Organized class aperitif dinner, terrace all to ourselves, they prepared many things for us, all delicious and the service was uniquely courteous and attentive. I would add that all their products are of high quality.

10/02/2025: The pizzeria is very welcoming and the staff are friendly and helpful. Not only is the pizza good, the cuisine is also of excellent quality. I recommend trying this experience.

08/02/2025: If there is a pizzeria/bistro in Sandonato that in 20 years of activity has managed to maintain an offering of always impeccable quality intact, it is undoubtedly Sottosopra. Pizzas, whose ingredients are unquestionably excellent and digestibility guaranteed by the choice of truly extraordinary doughs and leavening. A wide choice of pizzas, calzones and focaccias, but also delicious sandwiches and other tasty dishes, an interesting assortment of desserts and all in a location with a certain impact, a historic farmhouse renovated with attention to preserving tradition and innovation with notable results of aesthetic harmony. If we add to everything the kindness and professionalism of the owners and all the staff, who have been able to create this little restaurant gem in Sandonato, all we have to do is enjoy their food and toast together to the 20th anniversary of Sottosopra.
