05/07/2026: Typical Milanese menu, very good.
22/06/2026: The food was good, with no particular praise or criticism: well-executed dishes, but nothing that justified a memorable experience.
Unfortunately, the real problem was the service. The restaurant owner was arrogant, pedantic, and decidedly not customer-focused.
I had asked for ricotta salata to accompany the pasta, but was told it wasn't available. So, I simply asked for parmesan, since I wanted to add it to the dish. The answer was a resounding "no." Perplexed, especially since I find it hard to believe a restaurant in Milan doesn't have parmesan, I asked why. The response was, "Well... on a dish like that," accompanied by an expression and tone that suggested I was the one who didn't understand anything.
Now, I can understand the chef's advice, but if I pay for a dish, I think I'm free to consume it as I please. Even after I pointed this out, the restaurateur continued to insist that the parmesan "wasn't included," until, annoyed, I told him to keep it.
At that point, of course, the parmesan arrived at the table. It's a shame there wasn't even a simple "I'm sorry" or even a modicum of attention toward the customer.
Finally, the location is rather cold and unwelcoming, contributing to the overall unpleasant atmosphere.
Overall, an experience I wouldn't recommend: a good dish isn't enough to make up for such unprofessional service and an attitude that makes the customer feel more judged than welcomed.
