21/08/2024: Located at the crossroads of two quiet streets, this bar restaurant is ideal for eating for two and in a little breeze after a day in the heat.
The menu is quite varied and offers multiple choices for simple dishes: pannini pasta and pizzas.

06/08/2024: The coffees were delicious. The owner is a delightful woman who took some time and helped us to understand our new environment on our 2nd day in Italy, as English is her first language, and our only language!😆 We returned for morning coffee each day of our stay in Menaggio. Looked busy at lunch as well.
01/08/2024: WENT IN FOR A FLYING BEER BEFORE TAKING THE BUS TO GO HOME....
AND VERY HAPPY TO HAVE MET AN OLD BUT VERY GOOD BUS DRIVER IN THE LOCATION WHO I HAD NOT SEEN FOR YEARS....THE MYTHICAL FLECCHIA/FRECCHIA??

Les plats sont un régal , spécialités de polenta et poisson séchés tout comme les raviolis
Lieu au calme et même sans la vue sur le lac c est un lieu que je recommande vivement à menaggio

22/08/2024: Abbiamo mangiato a pranzo un antipasto della casa con salumi di cervo, cinghiale e asino buonissimi, accompagnati da una giardiniera supersonica. Gli sciatt erano favolosi, come i pizzoccheri. Per i più pignoli i pizzoccheri che fanno sono con poco burro ma tanta verza e patate, spettacolari. Vino della casa direi buono. Super consigliabile.

The waiters reply to the question why he served us a bread basked with a half eaten pizza slice in it: -Is that a problem for you?
We ordered a bottle of white wine, wich was followed by a napkin drowned in red wine..
We are happy to be out of the place and find us self praying not to wake up at the hospital.
01/05/2024: This restaurant is always the first we head for when we arrive in Menaggio. The food is fantastic and the service too. It gets very busy, but that's a sign that they are doing something right. My wife had the sliced grilled beef with parmesan and rocket salad. It was delicious. The steak was perfectly seasoned and the combination of steak, parmesan and rocket worked beautifully. I had the cotoletta - fried breaded veal. Again it was delicious, perfectly cooked and the portion was very big. We did manage to fit in a pudding of homemade Rhum baba which, again, was fantastic. I can't fault this restaurant. The wine list is extensive, surroundings warm and atmospheric. If you're looking for a real Italian family restaurant this is it. Highly recommended.

31/08/2024: Service was really bad for the price we paid. We paid 180 euros for a sun bed on the pool expecting service, drinks and food next to the pool. We were surprised that you have to serve yourself to drinks only at the pool and eat at the restaurant. People were extremely rude and not used to dealing with customers properly. For that price point i would expect better service, food, convenience.
The pool was good and clean, no showers to use after the day pass. Very minimal

01/08/2024: Belle terrasse et belle vue sur le lac mais la cuisine : une cantine sans plus.
Le risotto est fade et réchauffé et les pâtes trop cuites… les entrées sans assaisonnement… cher pour cette qualité !!!

14/07/2024: Don’t go! There were no drink prices on the menu and for a reason. Our lunch was 16 euros (pizza and salad) and the bill was 49 euros. So service and two limencello spritz was 33 euros. Never again.
09/06/2024: Detta var troligtvis den sämsta restaurangen vi besökt. Känslan vi fick var att det enda det gick ut på var att skinna turister på pengar och det så fort som möjligt. Vi åt pizza och den var inte god och till ett för högt pris i förhållande till kvalitén. Någon meny för dryck fanns inte och vi förstod varför när vi fick notan. 8 euro för en liten öl på flaska är inte acceptabelt. Ett litet glas av husets röda var också 8 euro. Nonchalant och tråkig service. Vi kände oss lurade efter att vi lämnat restaurangen. Känslan var att man jobbade stenhårt för att få in och ut gäster i restaurangen så fort som det bara var möjligt. Ägarna kan inte ha någon yrkesstolthet alls om man driver en restaurang på detta sättet.
Vi har bara gott att säga om övriga restauranger på vår resa i Italien så detta var som tur var ett tråkigt undantag.
Undvik denna restaurang.

04/08/2024: The food is average but not bad either. The lasagna was not bad and the spaghetti, although average, could be eaten. The worst by far are the drinks. Small sprite €5 and beer €7. Besides, they already charge you €3 per person just to sit down.
And be careful, they don't let you pay by card and they don't tell you until you go to pay. It's to fool tourists.
02/08/2024: Total rip-off; two medium beers & 1 cocktail (caipirinha) for €27. I believe the cocktail was €14 & the beers were €6.50 each.

18/07/2024: The two bald managers were extremely rude to my partner and I, and made a big fuss over us changing tables to watch the football game inside. Instead of explaining that we just needed to pay our previous bill first, they lied and said all the tables were reserved (even though you couldn’t reserve tables). They shrugged us off but luckily a lovely waitress let us pay our bill sit down inside. We ordered a pizza which was very mediocre and struggled to get served as the managers weren’t very attentive. When we went to pay our bill at the end they got our order wrong and tried to charge us €150 which we said was wrong, but they kept pushing for it and made us wait at the side without direction of what was happening. Whilst we were waiting one of the bald managers got into a fight with a customer over the fact he wanted to pay half in cash and half on card, and it ended with shouting and pushing. For the very below average food and poor service, this restaurant is not worth a visit and we will not be dining here again. I normally don’t write reviews, however, the way I was treated was so bad I felt I had to write something.
