Del Porto In Menaggio

Wonderful restaurant with a terrace offering direct lake access. Despite being a hotel restaurant, the food is classy and refined. Highly recommended for both the menu and the location!!!

I ordered a seafood pasta dish and I have to say it was very good but there was very little pasta, it was 50 grams at most.

My husband and I had the pleasure of dining at the Del Porto. The atmosphere was simply beautiful- right on the lake. The service was excellent and, we learned, the restaurant was just taken over by new ownership /management recently. Every dish was delicious. We had two pasta starters as well as the lakefish and monkfish main courses. I highly recommend a visit!

Overall it was okay, but there are definitely better restaurants. Especially in terms of value for money. The service could also have been a bit more polite.

Staff was friendly in general but the main waiter / manager at the restaurant was very unpleasant. Because of him I regretted that I had chosen to dine at the restaurant. My request to order something from the lunch menu during dinner made him freak out and yell at his stuff in front of me which is not professional behaviour. Also he was very rude to me the whole evening, gave me strange looks, and made me feel unwelcome. Never had such an awful experience at a restaurant. It's sad how one rude person can ruin such a lovely place. Food was alright, could have more flavour. You pay 5 € per person for the seat only. View is amazing. Convenient for hotel guests, you get 10 % discount.

We really enjoyed this hidden gem in Menaggio during our stay, so much that we came back a second time. The terrace is cozy and spacious, with a beautiful view and a lovely atmosphere. The service was excellent, and the staff were kind, welcoming, and helpful. Special thanks to Giuseppe and the whole team for making our dinners so enjoyable. The almond cake was absolutely delicious, and the foie gras appetiser was amazing - both simply melted in our mouths. We would definitely recommend this place and would happily return again!

A truly fantastic restaurant, with a stunning location directly on the lake, creating a unique atmosphere perfect for a special occasion. I came here to celebrate my eighteenth birthday and couldn't have asked for anything better. The new management offers delicious and unique dishes, with unusual yet successful combinations. A huge compliment goes to the chef for his creativity and attention to detail, showcasing every ingredient, making every dish an experience. The staff is equally impeccable: friendly, smiling, and always attentive, making you feel truly at ease throughout the evening. A truly unforgettable experience, highly recommended.
