18/08/2024: Restaurant in Gorra, one of the best I've ever tried from all points of view. Quiet environment with a view, excellent food and even better staff. They accept dogs lovingly and are always available. Some of the dishes that deserve mention: House starter, gnocchi with pesto, scallop and prawn ravioli, garlic and rosemary fillet, sautéed squid with vegetables, trio of desserts, gobeletto with jam; well basically everything!!! Thank you for the patience and love you put into every little detail... you are the best! Cristina and Cookie!

22/08/2024: We spent 3 nights in the hotel with our dog. Our room was very clean, the breakfast was plentiful, the coffee was delicious. But it is the staff who make our opinion so positive. They are very kind and helpful. We celebrated my husband's birthday and they made him a divine chocolate cake ❤️ We will definitely come back here ☺️

17/08/2024: Classic restaurant where you can eat local food without too many frills and at a good price. We had a good time, even if there were some flaws in the service, with our table literally forgotten between the first and second courses. You can eat outside near the street or on the veranda, a solution I recommend. Good wine list.

17/08/2024: My partner and I had dinner “alla Vecchia Maniera” at a table outside, on the street parallel to the central street of Finale: the area was very nice but the table was really small (we are both tall and it was a little uncomfortable on the chairs) and it was really very close to the others. The atmosphere of the place is nothing special but the food is really good! We ate a delicious octopus and potato salad: the octopus melted in the mouth and abounded in the portion 👌🏽 the sea bass ravioli WONDERFUL! The fried prawns, calamari and anchovies are very good, light and tasty. The service was a little slow and disorganized but both waitresses were always very nice and kind! Bill in line with the quality of the food 👍🏽

14/08/2024: Service was not very attentive, many of the dishes on the menu were not available. We took an amberjack tartare and a tuna tartare, very good, fresh fish, but decidedly small portions. As a first course we took tagliarin with monkfish sauce. The pasta was practically drowned in a salty sauce and overcooked fish. Very expensive for what it offers.

10/08/2024: however good the food may be, among other things without infamy or praise, when the service is terrible, there is not a good memory of the place. As occasional tourists we have been twice in two years, hoping that the situation would improve, but I see that at most, it gets worse. The owner is grumpy, a place where the customer is never right and indeed, if he dares to ask for something he is almost treated badly, slow service, half an hour to clear finished dishes, a full hour of waiting between one course and the next. another, the place is half empty during the week, I'm not talking about the chaos of the weekend. The icing on the cake, they refuse to accept separate accounts, even if the group is large and for any practical and legitimate reason needs to pay separately, they categorically refuse even though they know it is illegal to impose a single payment, last year it was even written out, this year they admitted it wasn't possible to write it but the rule remains, evidently someone complained, but instead of understanding and meeting the customer, they simply decided to carry on with their policy in secret; the atmosphere is not worth it because in Final Borgo all the places are beautiful and have a nice atmosphere, given by the place itself, not by the specific restaurant, so go elsewhere.

26/08/2024: Esperienza pessima in assoluto. “Titolare” una ragazzina maleducata e cafona che si è messa a urlare in sala contro di noi davanti a tutti. 0 professionalità. Abbiamo chiesto per la mia amica un piatto di linguine alla siciliana (pomodoro, capperi, pangrattato, finocchietto selvatico e acciughe) chiedendo gentilmente se si potesse fare senza acciughe, essendo la mia amica vegana ma soprattutto allergica a quel tipo di pesce. Ci è stato detto che non c’era nessun problema e abbiamo proceduto all’ordine. All’arrivo del piatto ci siamo subito accorti che la pasta era completamente invasa di spine di acciuga. Facendolo notare con educazione alla suddetta titolare, lei subito ha iniziato ad alzare i toni e a controbattere all’infinito che non c’erano le acciughe. Abbiamo chiesto se magari potesse esserci sbadatamente una contaminazione con magari qualche pentola o utensili usati in precedenza (può capitare) ma la risposta è stata completamente negativa con affermazioni che le spine potevano essere dei capperi o dei pomodori (da quando questi alimenti contengono spine??). Infine al posto di cercare una soluzione magari scusandosi e rifacendo il piatto, ci ha “invitato” sempre con tono arrogante e maleducato, a pagare il conto di un pranzo appena iniziato e con ancora portate che dovevano arrivare, dandoci al tavolo lo scontrino e togliendo i piatti ancora pieni da davanti alla faccia. Siamo andati a pagare il conto di quello che abbiamo mangiato.Io che ho mangiato solo l’antipasto (8 mezze alici sott’olio) + una bottiglietta d’acqua ho pagato 10 euro, quando il menù completo che avevo scelto con antipasto, primo e secondo avrebbe fatto 17 euro! La mia amica invece è rimasta a digiuno! Sconsigliato nel modo più assoluto! State lontani da questo locale, lì intorno ci sono posti molto più onesti. Segnalo inoltre che, nella didascalia Google del ristorante c’é scritto “serve piatti vegani”, ma non è la realtà perché non sanno nemmeno cos’è un vegano e a malapena ti propongono una pasta al sugo che faccio meglio a casa.

24/08/2024: We returned for dinner in this favorite place which recently changed management. Vote 10! Very interesting menu, really good and delicious small plates to share and then a small selection of delicious first and second courses. Excellent house wine. Attentive and fast service - which with a small child is always an appreciable element. The place is always magical, surrounded by silent and fresh greenery. We will keep coming back! Well done!

The menu offers a refined selection of dishes that skilfully combine tradition and innovation. Each course was a sensorial journey: from the authentic and well-balanced flavors to the fresh, high-quality ingredients. In summary, the PetriCore restaurant is a culinary gem. I highly recommend visiting for an unforgettable gastronomic experience. I will definitely be back soon to try more delights from their excellent menu.

02/09/2024: Great fish restaurant. Very nice little alley to sit outside. Starter + fish + dessert + wine + water + cafe for 60€. Really very good quality, so great value for money. Highly recommended for fish lovers. I don't think there is any meat.

08/08/2024: I confirm the quality of the products....everything excellent, the brioches, the fresh and dry pastries, the bakeries and everything else. All very good, they are really good. But a bit of courtesy and education towards customers is also needed. You go in and say hello and they don't answer you, you go out and you say hello and they don't answer you, you go to the checkout and you pay and you thank them and they don't answer you. You spend more than 10 minutes at the counter waiting before they ask you what you want and not because there are people but because they are chatting blissfully among them..I'm not on holiday, I live here and I'm going to work I can't waste half an hour to have breakfast while this is your job. If the person behind the counter doesn't like contact with the public or making coffee... I'm sorry but maybe they're in the wrong job... 🤣

25/08/2024: Delicious trattoria, caramelized figs with cheese, bruschetta, Russian salad, first courses with fresh homemade pasta, vegetable fritters from the garden. I don't eat meat but my husband confirmed the excellence of wild boar, rabbit and cima. Homemade desserts, limoncello and honey grappa to try. Wines: we tried Pigato and Primitivo, both excellent. We returned several times during our stay, it is also worth it for the context and kindness. Very well trained young staff, Davide you are strong, the others are also very nice and professional. Worth a visit, booking essential.

03/08/2024: Terrible experience, worth an unpretentious, touristy dinner, but if you want something more, avoid. Unfortunately, raising the price of dishes is increasingly confused with justifying quality and service, which are then not up to par. Last Saturday for an anniversary I booked a table, and was reassured of punctuality and availability. We sat down after 45 minutes with the excuse that the couple didn't get up first. Shifting the blame onto others has done you no credit. Let's leave aside the fact that my risotto was excessively tasty, and that I had to wait because my wife's dish didn't arrive. Definitely not an evening, especially the €5 discount which was better not to be given.

31/07/2024: Excellent fettuccine with clams, delicious slice of freshly caught fish. The gluten-free for celiacs is also very tasty (mixed fried food cooked separately for my celiac son).

28/07/2024: Delicious ice cream (the peach flavor is truly phenomenal)!! Same thing for the granitas, I tried peach there too and it really feels like eating blended peaches. Crazy!! Also great service and super friendly staff

23/07/2024: We had gelatos, coffee and cold drinks. Prices were normal for this area and everything tasted great! Service at the gelato bar very good.
